Young Global Leaders’ Delegation to Visit Pakistan
delegation of Young Global Leaders will visit the earthquake-ravaged regions ofThe Young Global Leaders’ delegation will focus on leveraging their network and resources in four key areas: (i) reconstruction; (ii) economic development; (iii) health; and (iv) ensuring sustained long-term global public awareness. The group will work closely with Pakistani officials and speak with local community members in and around Balakot, Mansehra and Abbotabad, some of the most severely affected towns, where hundreds of thousands of people are still homeless. Their itinerary also includes meetings with Pakistani leaders including Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and representatives from other government ministries as well as members of the donor community, relief agencies and UNHCR.
