What is it?

This task force’s objectives are to create awareness of climate change, engage the private
sector in focusing on business opportunities and spread best practices to change consumer behaviour.

How does it work?

To date, the initiative has created the “Book of Love”, a manifesto for decision-makers in industry and politics all over the world which indicates how to achieve environmental victories that will reduce the negative consequences of climate change. It is a testament to what has already been achieved by companies and individuals committed to low-carbon solutions, and a blueprint to help other companies take advantage of the new low-carbon economy.

What has been achieved so far?
  • The “Book of Love” has been printed and delivered to hundreds of companies around the world.
  • The Love Campaign was launched at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2007 in Davos.
  • The licensing of love products has begun.
  • Multiple events have taken place promoting the initiative and engaging a broader set of experts and philanthropists, including a Climate Change Action Summit, in Reykjavik,
    Iceland.
  • The Earth Love Movement Foundation was set up in order to help carry out the work
    of the initiative.
Unique value
of the YGL contribution:

The group creates a new platform which unites states, businesses, private and public organizations and initiatives in a wholly new environmental movement which leads by example.

How can you help  make it happen?

The initiative is looking for a CEO to run the foundation as well as in-kind financial and administrative support. Further, please contact us if you have ideas or contacts that will help us distribute the book and raise awareness, prepare and develop the 100-day plan for CEOs, or any other ideas you would like to contribute.
