Kingsley Bangwell

Co Founder KNOSK N100 A Day Charity School, Youngstars Foundation, Nigeria

“In this lifetime, I will work for youth ONLY” states Kingsley Bangwell, who in 1995, at age 22, started Youngstars Foundation in response to the bad governance that fostered abject poverty on his family and elongated his years in secondary school from six years to eight years. Thus he started Youngstars Foundation from a local barber shop in Jos which has today grown into a leading African youth development organization.

Kingsley is passionate about building young people and strengthening youth organizations to deliver development impact in the areas of governance, leadership, entrepreneurship, gender and education. Some flagship projects associated with Kingsley Bangwell include but not limited to Vote Not Fight Campaign with Nigeria A-List Artist Tuface Idibia, Thinking School Africa – Innovation bootcamp in Dubai and Nigeria, Young Aspirant Leadership Fellowship that produced 23 parliamentarians in the 2019 Nigeria general elections, Female And More self esteem and leadership project implemented in over 200 secondary schools nationwide, reaching over 4,500 teen girls.

Under his leadership, Youngstars has built its first online learning platform called Female And More that offers a 30-day self esteem module to young females to self believe, dream big and pursue greatness. Thousands of young females are already signing up and he envisions reaching millions of young African females with the program by 2025.

He is also Co-Founder of KNOSK-N100/30cents A-Day Secondary School for children from low income families in Kuje Area Council of Abuja Nigeria. KNOSK School is Nigeria’s first quality secondary school that offers a pay-as-you-can, pay-as-you-go and fees subsidy through a crowd-matching scheme. He envisions building 50 KNOSK Schools by 2040 to serve 25,000 secondary school students from low income families across Africa.

Kingsley Bangwell has travelled to about 30 different countries speaking and facilitating youth sessions among others. Together with his wife they cohost Family Street Radio Show every Sunday on 99.9 KISS FM by 7-8pm.

Rye Barcott

Co-Founder and CEO, With Honor, USA

Rye Barcott is CEO of With Honor, a cross-partisan organization he co-founded with David Gergen and other veterans to elect a next-generation veterans in the U.S. and create a more effective and less polarized government. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and co-founded Carolina for Kibera, a non-governmental organization that invests in talented youth in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya. After the Marines, he worked for the former CEO of Duke Energy, then co-founded and led Double Time Capital, a clean energy investment firm. He earned his MPA and MBA from Harvard, where he was a Center for Public Leadership Social Enterprise Fellow. He was a YGL class of 2011 and is a TED Fellow.

Elena Barmakova is Chairman of the Board of Fontvieille Capital, a USA-based financial firm that specializes in strategic advising to family offices and ultra high net worth individuals, offers sports investments, real estate investments, as well as advising companies in identifying and structuring international strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Elena Barmakova has over 20 years of international capital market experience in the successful arrangement and development of special situations and cross-border opportunities. Ms. Barmakova is a world-renowned expert and business pioneer, who is internationally recognized for her accomplishments in the highly specialized investment banking spheres. She has worked with venture capital, investment banking firms and leading banking institutions in the USA, Switzerland and Monaco. Ms. Barmakova has a Master's Degree in Finance and Economics and is licensed to transact financial securities and real estate.
Ms. Barmakova was a professional basketball player in Russia and she holds a degree from the Institute of Physical Culture as well as was awarded a diploma for her "Extraordinary Achievements in Sports”.
Elena was one of the finalists and participants in the “Miss USSR” beauty contest, “Best Model of the World” and similar events. She was engaged in media outlets and fashion representations in support of these efforts internationally with various designer brands. Ms. Barmakova is Founder of LenaLoren™ fashion brand.
Elena Barmakova is a member of the WEF Alumni Young Global Leaders. She has completed the YGL executive education program Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century at the John F. Kennedy School of Harvard University.
Since 2017, Elena has been developing sport projects in Europe and Middle East to maximise the commercial opportunity that exists in sports, from the investment model behind Football Clubs, Basketball Clubs, motorsports.
In 2019 Ms. Barmakova was an Advisor to Monaco's Sport Foundation (under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco).
Ms. Barmakova is residing in USA and Monaco, Elena is fond of yachting.

Maria Bartiromo

Has covered business and the economy for more than 30 years and was one of the building blocks of business cable network CNBC. First journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Author of several books, including: "The Cost: Trump, China and American Revival"; "The Weekend That Changed Wall Street"; "The 10 Laws of Enduring Success". Recipient of numerous awards, including: News and Documentary Emmy for Bailout Talks Collapse programme (2008); second Emmy for documentary Inside The Mind of Google (2009); Gracie Award for Greenspan: Power, Money & the American Dream; named one of the 50 Faces That Shaped the Decade, Financial Times (2009); inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2011 for impact on the cable industry.

Katinka Barysch

Chief Human Right Officer, Allianz, Germany

Katinka is an economist, political analyst and consultant. Katinka started out at the Economist Group and then, for over a decade, she helped to build a highly successful policy think-tank in London, the CER. In 2018 she moved into the private sector, to take various leading roles at Allianz group. Katinka has been a successful writer and media commentator and an advisor to several governments, the European Commission, numerous banks and business federations. She was also Strategic Adviser to the Munich Security Conference; David Rockefeller Fellow at the Trilateral Commission; a WEF Young Global Leader and a Fellow at Chatham House. She studied at the London School of Economics and LMU Munich.

Ruzwana Bashir

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Peek.com, USA

Ruzwana Bashir is CEO and founder of Peek. Peek is building Shopify for travel and experiences (eg watersports, sightseeing, cooking classes, art tours) with powerful software tools for businesses and the award-winning Peek.com marketplace for consumers. Peek has raised over $100 million in funding from Goldman Sachs and WestCap, and had over $2 billion in bookings through the platform. Peek was named one of Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Companies in Travel and Forbes’ Best Places to Work.

Ruzwana also sits on the Board of SoFi, and is an angel investor and scout for Sequoia Capital. Before starting Peek, she worked at Goldman Sachs, the Blackstone Group, Gilt Groupe and Artsy. She’s been named one of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business, Vanity Fair’s Next Establishment and is a Finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year. She is a Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Fulbright Scholar, and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University where she was President of the Oxford Union.

Candice Beaumont

Christophe Beck

Christophe Beck is chairman and chief executive officer of Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life. He guides Ecolab’s 47,000 associates as they provide unique expertise and innovative solutions to help make the world cleaner, safer and healthier.

Christophe believes Ecolab is uniquely positioned to help solve society’s most pressing water and climate challenges. “Water stewardship is critical to reducing energy use and advancing net zero goals, and vital to help address our world’s environmental challenges.” In 2021 alone, Ecolab helped customers avoid 3.6 million tons of GHG emissions and preserve 215 billion gallons of water, equal to the annual drinking water needs of more than 700 million people.

Christophe was named Ecolab’s president and chief executive officer in January 2021, and chairman in May 2022. Since joining Ecolab in 2007, he has held several senior leadership roles, including president and chief operating officer; executive vice president and president, Global Industrial Group; executive vice president and president of Nalco Water, an Ecolab company; and executive vice president and president, International Regions. He also led the integration of Nalco following Ecolab’s acquisition of the company in 2011.

Christophe is recognized as a thoughtful and effective leader, and in 2006, was nominated as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum for his accomplishments and commitment to shaping a better world.

A native of Switzerland, Christophe holds dual Swiss and U.S. citizenship. He has a master’s degree in Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and serves on the institution’s strategic advisory board. He also serves on the board of directors of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation.

Early in his career, Christophe worked on a space shuttle project for the European Space Agency. He and his wife have two children and live near the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Farida Bedwei

Software Engineer, Microsoft, Ghana

Farida Nana Efua Bedwei is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Logiciel (Ghana) Ltd, a software company developing banking systems for the microfinance industry. Her role involves assessing the industry and coming up with practical solutions, which are easy to use by persons with no formal banking training. She believes the informal sector, which make up between 60%-70% of the population across Africa, deserve the same banking services as those in the formal sector. Thus by building affordable banking systems for them, the microfinance industry will be able to realize their full potential and offer adequate banking services to their customers.

Prior to co-founding Logiciel, Farida worked in the telecom software industry, developing mobile gateways and services for mobile networks and content providers.

Farida is also an author and a disability-rights advocate, and has been featured on many media platforms, notable amongst this is C NN African Voices in February 2015. She has also won a number of local and international awards, and was adjudged the most influential woman in business and governance (finance sector) for her work in computerizing the microfinance industry. She currently serves on the Board of the National Communication Authority and Sharecare Ghana (an NGO which raises awareness for persons with autoimmune and neurological conditions).

Terry Beech

Minister of Citizens’ Services, Employment and Social Development Canada, Canada

Terry Beech is an accomplished and experienced entrepreneur, educator, and advocate for access to education and the expansion of entrepreneurship. Terry entered public service 18 years ago when he was elected as a city councillor in Nanaimo. He was named one of Maclean's Top 30 Under 30 in 2004, one of Business in Vancouver?s Top 40 Under 40 in 2013, and was also selected as an Action Canada Fellow. An Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, Terry is the author of "The In-Credibility Factor", and of "A National Strategy for High Growth Entrepreneurship in Canada" which highlights his desire for Canada to become a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship. He founded and was both CEO and Chairman of HiretheWorld.com, and is a co-founder of Twinbro, a non-profit organization that has helped over 25,000 students to obtain millions of dollars in scholarships and financial aid. He is a past board member of Lift Philanthropy and worked with entrepreneurs to launch and grow businesses at Beech Partners. While serving as a city councillor, Terry began his studies in Public Administration at Capilano University, who named him as one of the school's "Alumni to Watch". He holds a bachelor's degree with a joint major in Business and Economics from Simon Fraser University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Oxford. Terry was re-elected to his third term as a Member of Parliament on in 2021. Terry has served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Science, Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, as well as the Ministry of Transport. He is currently Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance and the Deputy Prime Minister.
