Formerly, Executive Director, Development at Australia's national research agency, the CSIRO and was the chief systems engineer for Fedsat, Australia's first satellite to be launched in 30 years. PhD in Innovation Theory. Co-Author of “The Sixth Wave: How to Succeed in a Resource Limited World”. Passionate about science communication; former panellist on the ABC TV television programme “The New Inventors”.

Mitsuru Claire Chino

Audit & Supervisory Board Member, ITOCHU, Japan

Claire is President & CEO of Itochu International Inc. and Managing Executive Officer of Itochu Corporation, a Fortune Global 500 company, headquartered in Japan. In 2013, she became the first female executive officer of any major trading company in Japan. Prior to joining Itochu, she was a partner of an international law firm.

Claire has received several recognitions, including from the World Economic Forum (Young Global Leader), Yale University (Yale World Fellow), Asia Society (Asia 21) and the U.S. Japan Leadership Program. She has also been recognized in the in-house community as a “Top 25 In-House Counsel in Asia” (Asia Legal Business), “Asia Pacific’s Innovative Lawyer” (Financial Times) and “FT Global General Counsel 30 (Financial Times). She is a graduate of Smith College (B.A. cum laude) and Cornell Law School (J.D.), where she serves on the advisory board.

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Chief Executive Officer, SOC Films, Pakistan

Bachelor’s degree, Smith College; two Master’s degrees, Stanford University. The only woman director to have been awarded two Academy Awards by the age of 37 and the first female director for a Star Wars film. Since 2001, has made over two dozen multi-award films in over 16 countries. Films include: “Student Athlete”, “Girl in the river”, “Song of Lahore”, “Saving Face”, “Peace Keepers” and “Transgenders: Pakistan’s Open Secret”. 2017, first artist to co-chair the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. Recipient of honours and awards, including: named in annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, Time Magazine (2012); awarded highest civil honour “Hilal -e–Imtiaz”, Pakistan Government (2012); Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Canadian Government, for work in the field of documentary films (2013); Crystal Award, World Economic Forum; Knight International Journalism Award, International Center for Journalists for work that led to legislative change (2017); Honorary Degree in Fine Arts, Smith College (2018).

Cassandra Chiu

Founder and Psychotherapist, The Safe Harbour Counselling Centre, Singapore

Master's in Social Science, Swinburne University of Technology. Social advocate for greater accessibility for the blind. Blogs exploits and challenges with guide dog on Facebook. Aspires to change what it means to be blind for the society. Runs a psychotherapeutic practice. Work encompasses assistive technology needs assessment/coaching; rehabilitative psychotherapy; and rehabilitative remodelling for business/domestic environments. Co-Author of two papers, Accessible Pedestrian Environment and Accessible Pedestrian Signals, for submission to the Land Transport Authority. Recipient of awards: Singapore Woman Award (2012); Social Innovation Park Fellow (2012).

H. S. Cho

Vice-Chairman, Hyosung Group, Republic of Korea

BA in Business Economics, Brown University; studies in Economics, Yonsei University. Formerly, with: Bain & Company, Tokyo and Seoul; NTT Communications, Tokyo; Marubeni Corporation, Tokyo. With Hyosung Group: currently, Member, Management Committee and Member of the Board, several subsidiaries; in charge of key decision-making, strategic planning and operations. Member: YPO; YEO; 136 Forum, an environmental group. Recipient of awards: Asian Young Global Leader, Korea Japan China Foundation (2005); Asia 21 Global Young Leader, Asia Society, US (2006); Junior Board, National Museum of Korea (2007). Interests: sports, automobiles, gastronomy, travel, photography.

Hyun-gu Cho

Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Classting Inc., Republic of Korea

Hyun-gu Cho is a South Korean entrepreneur who founded Classting, an AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS). Classting is a platform designed to improve and streamline the educational experience for both students and teachers by incorporating artificial intelligence, data analysis, and various other advanced technologies.

The platform offers features such as personalized learning, real-time feedback, data-driven insights, and seamless communication between students, teachers, and parents. By integrating AI algorithms and machine learning, Classting can adapt to individual students' learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses, allowing for a more tailored and efficient educational experience.

Hyun-gu Cho's vision for Classting was to create a platform that can bridge the gap between traditional classroom settings and the rapidly evolving digital landscape. His innovative approach to education has garnered significant attention and praise, making Classting one of the leading LMS platforms in South Korea and beyond.

Calvin Choi

Chairman, AMTD, Hong Kong SAR, China

Dr. Calvin Choi is the Global Chairman of AMTD Group, L’Officiel, and The Art Newspaper. Calvin is also the Founder and Chairman of AMTD Charity Foundation. He is a globally recognized entrepreneur and philanthropist as well as a pioneer and contributor in promoting global digitalization.

Calvin was awarded "Knight - Order of Arts and Letters" by the Ministry of Culture of France in 2022. He was named “Asia FinTech Leader”, “Singapore FinTech Leader” and “Top 10 FinTech Leader” respectively in 2019-2021 by the Singapore Fintech Association; granted “Outstanding Contribution Award (Individual)” by the conference of “Pilot 9+2: First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Forum” held by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group in 2021; named “Asia’s Most Influential by the Tatler in 2021; “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2017; and awarded by the Institutional Investor magazine as one of the global “Fintech Finance 35” in 2016. He was granted the degree Doctor of Laws honoris causa, and the “International Alumni Achievement Award” by the University of Waterloo in 2021 and 2019, respectively.

Calvin is currently appointed as a member of Hong Kong Cyberport Advisory Panel under the Hong Kong SAR Government and also a member of Hong Kong Government’s Prisoners’ Education Trust Fund Investment Advisory Committee. He serves as the Vice Chairman of China Young Entrepreneurs Association, being the first ever appointed nation-wide Vice Chairman representing Hong Kong and Macau. He is a member of the Executive Committee of All-China Federation of Industry and Commence; He also serves as the President of Hong Kong Islands Federation; Vice Chairman of Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation; Chief President of the Hong Kong Youth Association; Chief President of Hong Kong Island Youth Association; and the Honorary President of the Hong Kong Federation of Journalists. Meanwhile, Calvin also serves as the Board Director of ASEAN Financial Innovation Network, which was founded by the World Bank, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and ASEAN Bankers Association.

Alicia Chong Rodriguez

Chief Executive Officer, Bloomer Health Tech, USA

Alicia Chong Rodriguez is Founder and CEO of Bloomer Tech, a company that addresses healthcare disparities in cardiovascular care for women through personalized medicine using Bloomer Tech-augmented garments. She has received awards such as the MIT Legatum Fellowship and the Biennial MIT Graduate Women of Excellence. Chong Rodriguez has presented a TED Talk, "A Smart Bra for Better Heart Health". She is recognized as a TED Fellow, Medtech Boston 40 Under 40 Healthcare Innovator, and one of the top 100 Female Founders in the US by Inc. Magazine. She is Founder of MenTe (Mujeres en Tecnología). She led the first Association for Computing Machinery Women group in Latin America at Tec de Monterrey and launched the National Network of Women in Technology in Costa Rica. She has held engineering positions at HP and Teradyne.

Commissioner on the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Has been an outspoken advocate for fair competition, consumer rights and accountability for corporations that break the law. Widely recognized for his expertise on America's trillion-dollar student loan crisis.

Tejpreet Singh Chopra

Leading wind and solar power generation company in India (IPP). Group has 3 independent companies - large utility scale wind/solar, distributed solar and an industrial AI and IoT company - Industry.AI. Industry.AI leverages proprietary failure prediction models, big data analytics & machine learning to help industries improve productivity, sustainability, quality, safety and optimize energy consumption. Provides predictive intelligence for over 2GW of wind & solar farms globally. Also, AI based solutions to industries such as auto, FMCG, mining, oil & gas, steel, airports, ports etc. Earlier with General Electric (GE) for 14+ years. Was President & CEO of GE India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh in last role. Previous roles included GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS), 1996: roles in marketing, structured finance and risk management; 2005, opened GECAS office in Delhi; Senior Vice-President and Country Head, India, arranged more than $1 billion in financing for India's airline industry; President & CEO, GE Commercial Finance, India; 2007.

Sangeet Paul Choudary

Founder, Platformation Labs, United Arab Emirates

Sangeet Paul Choudary is the founder of Platformation Labs and the best-selling author of Platform Revolution and Platform Scale. He has advised the leadership of more than 35 of the Fortune 500 firms and has been selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Sangeet's work on platforms has been selected by Harvard Business Review as one of the top 10 ideas in strategy and his articles have been featured thrice in the HBR Top 10 Must Reads compilations.

Sangeet is appointed to several high-level ministerial advisory committees and is a former member of the WEF's Global Future Council. He is also ranked among the top 30 emerging thinkers globally by Thinkers50 and is the youngest ever recipient of the IIMB Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is a frequent keynote speaker at leading global forums including the G20 Summit, the World50 Summit, and the United Nations.

David Chubak

David Chubak is one of the financial world's youngest influencers. In his former role at Citi, David led a business that spans across global markets and serves more than 100 million customers, with 2,600 branches and 65,000 employees. With an eye to the future and an understanding of the past, he adheres to a philosophy that puts customer well-being first. In this most recent position, David consolidated the financial institution's global retail bank and consumer lending businesses and launched a digital banking strategy to ensure the bank meets the needs of the ever-evolving customer.
