Luhui Yan

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Carbonstop, People's Republic of China

Luhui Yan, Founder and CEO of Carbonstop, Master of Science in Computer Science at Oxford University, Expert Reviewer of the UNIPCC, Representative of China at UNFCCC Climate Change Conference for eight consecutive years, Deputy Secretary General of China Low Carbon Economic Committee. As China’s first carbon management software and consulting service provider, Carbonstop was founded in March 2011 by Luhui Yan. In the past ten years, leading Carbonstop, Mr. Yan has provided carbon management software and consulting solutions for over 1,000 enterprises and organizations, including 100 Fortune global 500 companies and top global organizations, such as Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, JD, KFC, Zara, Chanel, SKP, Vanke, Starbucks, ByteDance, Meituan, Hillhouse, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China Coal, etc. In the Internet field, Luhui Yan led the project “Green Packaging and Logistics” and “Ant Forest” for Alibaba.

Isabelle Yap

Executive Director and Vice-President, East West Banking Corporation, Philippines

Isabelle Yap is vice president, special-projects officer, and executive director at EastWest Bank. As a former consultant at McKinsey, she has experience in serving multiple clients across the Philippine region, and she was part of the Management Associate program at Singtel, one of Asia’s leading telcos. A digital native, Yap brings in new perspectives and new ways of engaging with customers. She helped spearhead the launch of Komo, a digital banking service under EastWest Bank, and serves as chair for f(dev), the digital-venture builder and innovation factory of Filinvest Development.

Yoshiki Yasui

President and Chief Executive Officer, Yasui & Company, USA

Yoshiki Yasui is President & CEO of Yasui & Company, an independent financial service firm focused on financial advisory, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financial restructuring as well as principal investments focusing on early stage companies with multiple portfolio companies in the U.S. and Japan. Currently also serving as the mentor and innovation fellow for Harvard Innovation Labs. He was also selected as Young Global Leaders Class of 2020 by the World Economic Forum known for its Davos meeting.

Born in Toronto in 1985, Yoshiki spent his childhood in Toronto and New York until moving to Japan at the age of 10. Yoshiki studied at the University of Sydney and Waseda University. Upon graduation, Yoshiki began his work in the Investment Banking Division for Lehman Brothers. Later he worked at a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm, DCM where he was responsible for investments in the US, Japan and China. Yoshiki founded a mobile payment company Origami in 2012, which was later acquired by a Japanese listed company Mercari. Yoshiki has been a board member of the Payments Japan Association, as well as the New Industrial Structure Council of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. Awarded a certificate of completion for the Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century Program, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education.

Yeoh Keong Hann

Executive Director, YTL Power International Berhad, Malaysia

Yeoh Keong Hann is a third-generation Malaysian business leader passionate about the transformative power of combining technology and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the influence and values of family businesses in building a more inclusive and sustainably-focused society. He is Executive Director of YTL Power International Berhad, one of South-East Asia's largest infrastructure and energy companies, leading the group's operation and setting the vision of its new business and digital venture arms. He led the team that set up Geneco, Singapore's second-largest provider of retail electricity. Yeoh is also a General Partner of the SEA Frontier Fund where he invests in and mentors the next generation of game-changing startups in South-East Asia. He is a member of the Board of Wessex Water in the United Kingdom and of YTL PowerSeraya in Singapore. Yeoh is a graduate of the University of Oxford.

Yousef Yousef

Chief Executive Officer, LG Sonic B.V., Netherlands

Yousef Yousef, with two decades at LG Sonic, has significantly impacted the green technology sector by advancing water quality systems and driving the company's global expansion to over 50 countries. His strategic vision has propelled LG Sonic from a nascent startup to an industry benchmark, earning worldwide recognition for environmental excellence.

As a leader, Yousef also spearheads a green-tech scale-up initiative with 500+ members, dedicated to merging the innovative energies of green startups with the robust resources of established companies. This role highlights his belief in collaborative, sustainable growth as a catalyst for environmental innovation.

Yousef's expertise extends to strategic roles, including his significant position in the board of the the European Innovation Council, a 10 billion euro EU fund. In this capacity, he influences the confluence of technology and eco-sustainability, shaping policy and guiding the tech industry's future. This role allows him to play a pivotal part in deploying substantial resources towards fostering breakthrough technologies and innovative solutions across Europe.

Yu Chong

Chief Representative, China, WildAid, People's Republic of China

Yu Chong, WildAid China Chief Representative, graduated from Boston University with a master's in communications. She has been a veteran in environment communications, public relations, and non-profit organizational management for over 13 years. She has been working on wildlife conservation, climate mitigation, and marine protection through strategic and consistent communications leveraging the "Conservation Through Communication" model. She led the team that launched and executed over 50 environment communications campaigns and partnered with various stakeholders across the public and private sectors. Among these, the public advocacy campaign for climate action #BYOer has reached nearly 800 million impressions, and the public campaign for wildlife conservation, "Don't be a villain to wildlife," has reached over 1 billion impressions.

Raya Yusuf-Sbitany

Chief Executive Officer, Derma Beauty Lab Ltd, Palestinian Territories

Ms. Raya Yusuf-Sbitany is an entrepreneur and a Gender Inclusion & Women's Empowerment specialist.

She is the CEO of Derma Beauty Lab, a boutique skincare manufacturing company in Jerusalem, focusing on producing premium skincare products under the brand MINERALINE, using natural and organic ingredients, and enriched with Dead Sea minerals. The company has a sustainability strategy and a social program, focusing on ethical production and marketing, in addition to offering employment to women and youth from Jerusalem, where unemployment is at its highest, reaching over 85% among women in the city.

Raya also worked as a Private Sector and Gender consultant with UN Women. Prior to this position, Raya was the Chief Business Development & Financial Inclusion Officer at Bank of Palestine. During her career at the bank, she founded several departments at the bank including Business Development, Financial Inclusion, Investor Relations, and Quality Assurance, in addition to designing and implementing the bank’s Women’s Market program “Felestineya”, a comprehensive program to support women by offering banking products and services that meet their needs, a full program of advisory services and training, as well as implementing internal changes to promote gender equality. In 2015, Raya received the award of Best Investor Relations Professional in Palestine by the Middle East Investor Relations Society.

Raya holds a Master’s degree from King’s College London in International Management, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Middle Eastern Studies and Economics.

Raya is a member of the national Financial Inclusion Committee of the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA), a board member at Vitas Palestine Microfinance Institution, the Yabous Cultural Center in Jerusalem, and the Arab Orphan Committee Organization in Jerusalem.

Alma Zadić

Minister of Justice, Ministry of Justice of Austria, Austria

Zadić was born in Tuzla, where she also attended elementary school. Her father was a university professor of electrical engineering, and her mother worked as a building inspector for the township. During the Bosnian War, the family fled to Austria with ten-year-old Alma Zadić. In Vienna, she attended the Ortnergasse elementary school and the Realgymnasium Ettenreichgasse. From 2003 she studied law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna. In 2007, she graduated with a master's degree. She then worked at the International Organization for Migration in Vienna and as an intern at the International Tribunal for War Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague. In 2009/10, she completed her LL.M. at Columbia University in New York. She remained a visiting scholar and editor-in-chief in New York at the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment. From 2011 to 2015, she worked as an associate, from November 24, 2015, to August 2017, as a lawyer and senior associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (FBD), an international commercial law firm based in London with offices in 17 countries. She worked in a law firm in the field of conflict resolution. On the occasion of her candidacy for the National Council, she ended her work at FBD in August 2017 and had herself removed from the list of lawyers. In 2017 she received her doctorate in law from the University of Vienna.

Achmad Zaky

Founding Partner, Init 6, Indonesia

Achmad Zaky is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder and ex-CEO of Bukalapak, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. Currently, he is active in non-profit activity via Achmad Zaky Foundation. He invests in education and entrepreneurship causes.

Christian Zeinler

Personal, Switzerland

Christian Zeinler is Managing Director, Head of Strategy and Business Development at UBS where he has reorganized the team structure. He is passionate about the people mission in his job and invests significant time in sponsoring and coaching colleagues while creating opportunities. Prior to UBS, he successfully launched and managed a convertible bond fund before working at McKinsey & Company. Zeinler was one of McKinsey’s Core Leaders in its Wealth and Asset Management practice, leading and driving its efforts and knowledge creation globally on Investment Solutions. As a Partner, he was able to shape the industry’s strategic agenda working with the global leading institutions in this space.

Boju Zhang

Secretary General, Ginkgo Foundation, People's Republic of China

Boju Zhang is secretary general of Ginkgo Foundation, who invests in young social entrepreneurs in China, helping them achieve great personal and career breakthroughs.
He is also a board member and Former CEO of Friends of Nature (FON) , the first green NGO in China, work to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water and safe food. He develops and carries out strategies for FON programs on Environmental Public Interest Litigation, Policy Advocacy, Information Disclosure and Public Participation.

In recent 8 years, Boju and FON Team have filed 50 environmental public interest lawsuits, to protect biodiversity and human health, and promote renewable energy and combat climate change. Among them, the public interest litigation case of protecting Green Peacock was elected as the top 10 biodiversity protection cases in the world at the world environmental justice conference in 2021.

In recent years, Boju has found seven non-profit organizations and social enterprises in China, such as China Zero Waste Alliance which is the nationwide action network on solid waste management, and Gaia Nature School which is the leading social enterprise on environmental education.

Boju is the board member of the Environmental Public Relations and Strategic Communications Institute of China Environment Protection Ministry. He was the youth advisor for United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP).

Boju graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He won the Ray Dalio Scholarship and pursued Executive Leaders in Philanthropy program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Margaret Zhang

Editor-in-Chief, Vogue China, People's Republic of China

Margaret Zhang became Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China in February 2021 - the youngest Vogue editor in history. Prior, she wore many hats as a filmmaker, writer, photographer, and consultant - co-founding BACKGROUND, a global consultancy company in which she specialised in bridging Western and Chinese cultures for a range of luxury, lifestyle, and brand initiatives. Zhang obtained both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney, before going on to be listed in Forbes Asia’s 30Under30 and TimeOut’s 40Under40. Her work has been recognized as shaping the international fashion industry by the Business of Fashion BoF500 Index. Zhang is among the World Economic Forum’s class of 2023 Young Global Leaders.
