Eduardo Leite

Governor of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Eduardo Leite is 37 years old and is the first re-elected governor in the history of Rio Grande do Sul. He was born in Pelotas, on March 10th, 1985. He was the youngest governor in Brazil during his first term. At the beginning of the 2019-2022 term, he promoted a series of structural reforms to counter the public budget deficit in the state. With an agenda focused on dialogue and on opening up the State to the private initiative, he approved the privatization of state-owned companies, highway concessions, a new Environmental Code and a gradual reduction in taxes. With the result of the reforms carried out, he promoted, through the Avançar program, investments in all areas of the State, totalling BRL 6.5 billion in resources. Mr. Leite was mayor of the municipality Pelotas between 2013 and 2016. Before his term of office, he was municipal secretary, councilor and president of the municipal council. He ended his term as mayor with 87% popular approval in opinion polls. The governor holds a bachelor's degree in Law, he studied Public Policy at Columbia University, in New York, USA, and attained a master's degree in Public Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Achankeng Leke

Acha Leke is Senior Partner in Johannesburg and Chairman of McKinsey, Africa. He leads McKinsey's Private Equity and Principal Investors practice in Africa, and is a member of the McKinsey Global Institute Council. Previously, he served for three years as part-time consultant for Pacific Monolithics and Spectrian Corporation in California and, in 1998, as a Summer Associate at McKinsey's Johannesburg office. In 1999, Acha rejoined Atlanta, and moved to South Africa in 2002. His client work is split between telecom, oil and gas, banking, private equity and economic development. Leke is Co-Founder and Member of the Board of the African Leadership Academy, a co-educational boarding school that aims to develop the next generation of African leaders. He holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MSc in Electrical Engineering, an MSc in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Management and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Olivia Leland

Founder and Chief Executive, Co-Impact, United Kingdom

Olivia Leland brings more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, government, and the nonprofit sector to her role as founder and CEO of Co-Impact. Co-Impact brings together philanthropists, foundations and other funders to support systems change efforts in low- and middle-income countries around the world, in the areas of education, health, and economic opportunity, and with a particular focus on gender equity and inclusion. Olivia worked with Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett as the founding director of the Giving Pledge, an effort to help address society's most pressing problems by encouraging philanthropy globally. In this role, she was responsible for building out the concept from inception, as well as overseeing the strategy and implementation for this effort which now has more than 200 families committed from around the world. Previously, she led a cross-foundation strategy effort at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and served as associate director for financial and private sector development at the Millennium Challenge Corporation. She has consulted on microfinance and private sector development, and was a strategy consultant at Monitor Group where she focused on branding, market research and venture philanthropy. She sits on the board of the Full Frame Initiative, a nonprofit organization that works to break cycles of poverty and violence through systems change. In 2014 Olivia was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader. Olivia received her AB in Social Studies from Harvard University and MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She lives with her husband and three children in London, UK, and holds dual US/French nationality.

Dana Leong

Musician and Founder, TEKTONIKmusic.org, USA

Dana Leong is a two-time Grammy award winning musician, composer, and producer. Considered by many to be the world’s top electric cellist, he has also been referred to as world’s top trombone player by members of the world renowned Balkan Beat Box. Dana’s music spans across multiple genres. His distinctive sound is an emotionally mesmerizing combination of jazz, healing music, electronic dance and hip hop. He has taught Jazz at Stanford University from the age of 16; completed the Public Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; has given conference opening musical speeches and presentations at TEDxShanghai and the US OPEN Tennis Championship; won two Grammys in Latin Jazz for his collaboration with Paquito D’rivera; worked with Kanye West and Sean P. Diddy Combs in Hip-Hop, and with DJ A-Trak and DJ Qbert in EDM; been a guest musical director for “Fela” on Broadway; and has composed themes for international brands such as Hermès, Virgin Galactic, Porsche and Mont Blanc. A leading innovator at the intersection of music, technology and wellness, Dana has performed healing music at the World Economic Forum’s Davos Congress and Summer Davos Closing Ceremonies and is a composer on a ‘musicians against violence’ album produced by Harry Belafonte. He also worked with Yamaha to consult on the design of the “Silent Cello”, serves as a U.S. Musical Ambassador and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

Tim Levene

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Augmentum Fintech PLC, United Kingdom

Studied Russian, University of Manchester. Formerly with Bain & Company, Moscow, Boston, Sydney and London. An experienced entrepreneur, Tim co- founded juice bar business Crussh and being a founding employee of Flutter.com, the latter of which became one of the highest profile digital businesses in the UK after it merged with Betfair.com in 2001 Tim is CEO and Founder of the UK’s only publicly listed, fintech-focused investment company Augmentum Fintech. After launching the first iteration of the fund in 2010 with the backing of RIT and Lord Rothschild, Tim and Co-Founder Richard Matthews launched Augmentum Fintech plc on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in 2018.
Tim has sat and currently sits on multiple fintech boards including Interactive Investor, Tide, Zopa, Farewill, iwoca and Monese and is highly active in cross-industry initiatives working to boost the UK fintech sector, including the UK FinTech Strategy Group. In 2022, Tim was elected in the City of London as an Alderman in the Ward of Bridge.

Katrin Ley

Managing Director, Fashion for Good, Netherlands

Katrin Ley joined Fashion for Good as its Managing Director in July 2017 and brings over 20 years of management experience in the apparel and impact investing sector.
She joined Fashion for Good from Pymwymic, the ‘Put your Money Where Your Meaning Is Community’ of European wealth holders who invest for impact. Under her leadership as Managing Partner, Pymwymic launched, the first-ever peer-to-peer impact holding company, welcoming mission-aligned families and individual investors as shareholders. Prior to this role, Katrin was Managing Director within the adidas Group (U.S. and Netherlands) and a Principal within the Boston Consulting Group (Germany and Scandinavia) – with a focus on private equity, consumer goods and technology. Katrin was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and is also the founding curator of the Amsterdam Global Shapers Hub. Zhizhong Li

Co-Founder and Secretary General, Shiyu Children Foundation, People's Republic of China

Dr. Zhizhong Li is a co-founder and Secretary General of the Shiyu Children Foundation (SCF). An NGO set up in 2018, SCF is dedicated to promoting awareness, patient education, and drug discovery for pediatric cancers in China. It is the first one focusing on solving children's cancer healthcare issues. Dr. Li has an impressive academic background with a BS in life science from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Duke University before joining Novartis as a research investigator in the department of Oncology Drug Discovery. He published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles, including a cover story on the prestigious Cancer Cell. His work is one of the highest cited papers in the cancer stem cell field and has been cited globally over 7700 times - ranking top 2%. He deeply cares about how science can impact everyone's life. He has demonstrated a strong dedication to sharing knowledge with the broader public by promoting science, especially cancer knowledge in China. He is a best-selling author with six books on cancer biology and oncology drug discovery. His books have won many prestigious awards in China, including Best 30 Books in China and Best Pop Science Book in China. His blog has over 1,000,000 followers, including cancer patients/families and healthcare professionals. Even several China Academy of Science members regularly read his article, and they are amazed by Zhizhongs ability to translate complex biomedical issues to lay language.
