Solveigh Hieronimus

Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company, Germany

Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in Germany. Solveigh leads McKinsey’s global Center for Government (MCG) and predominantly serves clients in the Public Sector on topics covering Education, Employment, Public Health and Public Finance.

She is a leader in McKinsey’s Organization Practice, working on large-scale performance transformations, institutional capability building, and talent and diversity strategies across the private and public sectors worldwide.

Solveigh’s main professional interests lie at the heart of the European Union with all its opportunities and current challenges—supporting both European governments and EU institutions on some of their highest priority topics, including digital and artificial intelligence as well as up-and reskilling strategies.

She is a Young Global Leader (YGL) at the World Economic Forum, serves on the European Commission’s high-level expert panel for the Future of Work, and is a panelist and speaker in a variety of settings, such as the European Parliament, DLD and the Chatham House Conference.

Before joining McKinsey, Solveigh held various positions at the United Nations, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. She studied in Oxford, Madrid, and Paris and has a master’s degree in economics as well as a Diplôme de Grande Ecole from ESCP-EAP European School of Management. In addition, she holds a master’s in public administration (MPA), with a focus on development finance and security policy, from Columbia University, in New York.

Katie Hill

Global Director, Power and Strategy, Liquid Telecom, Kenya

Expert in sustainable infrastructure, technology, and renewable energy. Currently, Global Director of Business Operations, Liquid Telecom, a digital infrastructure company spanning 13 countries across Africa. Liquid has built Africa's largest independent fibre network, approaching 70,000 km, and operates state-of-the-art data centres in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Nairobi. Formerly launched and led Apple's Clean Energy Program, aimed at transitioning Apple's product manufacturing worldwide to renewable energy; her team enabled 3GW of new clean energy contracted for Apple production in less than 2 years; led 10 joint-ventures in renewable energy across 6 provinces in China; also co-led Apple?s issuance of a $1.5 billion green bond ? the largest of any US company in history. Previously spent four years in India with Acumen, a leading impact investment fund; launched Acumen's Energy Portfolio in India, investing in off-grid energy companies; Member, Acumen's Advisory Council. Spent eight years living in Asia and Africa (India, China, Nepal, Uganda, Botswana). Other work experience includes McKinsey & Company, Generation Investments, Dalberg Global Advisors and the China Greentech Initiative. MBA and MSc in Environmental Engineering, Stanford University. Pekka Himanen

Co-Founder, Global Dignity, Finland

Pekka Himanen is a Philosopher and currently teaches as a Professor at the Helsinki Institute of Information Technology. He previously was Director of the Berkeley Centre for the Information Society. His works have been translated into 20 languages. He has recently acted as an Adviser to the Finnish Parliament and President as well as leading international organizations on the issues of global information societies and ethics. Himanen currently works at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, a joint institute of the Helsinki University of Technology and Helsinki University.

Shaurya Veer Himatsingka

Deputy Managing Director, India Carbon Limited, India

Shaurya is an Entrepreneur and currently serves as the CEO & Deputy Managing Director for India Carbon Limited. At the group level he is responsible for New Projects, Corporate Finance, Strategy, Mergers-Acquisitions & Joint Ventures.

He has been engaged with domestic acquisitions and establsihment of Greenfield Projects, in addition to diversifying into the Mobile Commerce, Real Estate and Infrastructure space.

He is currently leading his team to develop and establish North East India’s first Special Economic Zone in Guwahati, Assam.

Shaurya’s latest entreprenueurial venture is his setting up a Venture Builder under the brand iExponential, to build high value corpprations based on disruptive ideas and a mobile first strategy. He is currently involved in growing businesses in sectors ranging from Fitness & Healthcare and the ‘Internet of Things’ to Education and Last Mile Passenger Conn ectivity.

He has obtained his Master's in Business Administration (2005) and also his B.Sc from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.

Shaurya is the National Chairman for CII–Young Indians (13,000 Members) based on Nation Building and Youth & Thought Leadership.

Lars Hinrichs

Chief Executive Officer, Cinco Capital GmbH, Germany

Lars Hinrichs is a serial entrepreneur, investor and tech geek. One of his first efforts, politik-digital.de was a platform for politics and new media, which he launched when he was 22. His next venture, a new media consulting firm, failed but not without first paying rich dividends in learning. Hinrichs applied these lessons learned to his third major effort XING, the world's first Web 2.0 company to go public. He also became active in investing in and helping secure funding for a wide range of tech start-ups. His most recent start-up, HackFwd, is an innovative pre-seed venture capital company investing in technical talent across Europe. Hinrichs and HackFwd have been profiled in Wired, the Financial Times and TechCrunch. He is an Honorary Member of the German Committee of UNICEF.

Aroon Hirdaramani

Director, Hirdaramani Group, Sri Lanka

Owner and Director, Hirdaramani Group. Aroon is a leader of the Group's Executive Committee which is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the Group's global apparel business and excellence in sustainability. Aroon overlooks the Group's woven apparel operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as well as its Global Trading and Sourcing Operations. Aroon also oversees the Group's investment strategies. Honorary Counsel to Guatemala for Sri Lanka. Also serves as Chairman, Future Leaders Committee, Sri Lanka JAAF. Brent Hoberman

Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, Founders Factory, United Kingdom

Brent is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Founders Factory (corporate-backed venture studio and accelerator), Founders Forum (global community of founders, corporates and tech leaders), and firstminute capital (2017: $100m seed fund with global remit, backed by Atomico, Tencent and over 30 unicorn founders). Previously, Brent co-founded lastminute.com in 1998, was CEO from its inception, and sold it in 2005 to Sabre for $1.1bn.

Florian Hoffmann

Founder, The DO, Germany

Florian is founder and CEO of The DO and a thought leader for a new economy that is sustainable, innovative and equitable. The DO is home to the DO Group and DO School. The DO Group works with organisations on their purposeful transformation. The DO School is a life-long learning center that believes in the power of hands-on learning. And, as a social business, The DO Community connects The DO's global ecosystem and young entrepreneurs from over 100 countries in the belief that together, our actions can solve the big challenges of our time. Previously, Florian co-founded and led organisations in philanthropy, media and the lifestyle industry in Asia, Europe and the US. He holds an MPhil in International Politics from St Antony´s College, Oxford University with distinction and regularly teaches and contributes to the debate on using entrepreneurship and innovation to create positive change in the world. Florian is a recipient of the German government award Land der Ideen and was named a Young Global Leader by the WEF in 2017. He lives in Berlin with his wife and daughter.

Kurt Holle

Country Representative, WWF Peru, Peru

Kurt Holle is a conservation and ecotourism entrepreneur. He founded Rainforest Expeditions in Peru in the 1990s, offering trips to the Amazon. The company hosts 15,000 guests a year at three lodges, one of which is owned by an indigenous community in the Peruvian Amazon. With experience in designing, implementing, managing and marketing operations, Holle works with local communities, ensuring sustainable business practices and forest conservation. He also is Co-Founder of Deep in Forest, an investment network of 11 native communities and entrepreneurs designed to scale businesses that are working with communities and their forests. He has worked in certification, handicraft development, designing economic incentives for conservation, environmental funds and finance mechanisms, and serves on the board of two not-for-profit organizations.

Rodney Hood

Chairman, National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), USA

Rodney E. Hood serves as Corporate Responsibility Manager at JPMorgan Chase where he manages national partnerships with organizations that foster sustainable homeownership, provide financial capability & economic inclusion, and provide access to capital in underserved communities -- including low-to-moderate income, minority and disabled.

Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Hood was Vice-Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration -- the financial regulatory body for the credit union / cooperative banking system in the United States. He was appointed to this role in 2005 by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Prior to public service, Hood held management positions in the financial services industry: Division Manager, Community Development Lending at Wells Fargo; National Director, Affordable Housing at Wells Fargo; Community Reinvestment Manager at Bank of America; Corporate Marketing Director at North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance; and Credit Analyst at GE Capital.

Hood is a former Member of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation Board of Directors and is the recipient of several awards, including the Wells Fargo Dream Award in recognition of his unwavering support for affordable housing.

Hood was also named one of region's 40 Under 40 young leaders by the Triangle Business Journal and was named a Young Leader by the American Council on Germany. Hood is also an avid arts supporter and serves as an Opera Panelist with the National Endowment for the Arts and is currently writing a book on opera.

Hood was appointed in 2013 by the North Carolina Legislature to serve on the University of North Carolina Board of Governors-- the oversight body for the state's 17 public universities, hospitals, and public radio & television stations. Hood has fiduciary oversight for the college system's $12.5BN (USD) budget, 220,000 students and 53,000 faculty and staff. Hood serves as Vice Chair of the Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee.

Hood gained his Bachelor's Degree with Distinction in Business Administration, Political Science and Speech Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hood also participated in the Affordable Housing Institute at Harvard University.

Ho Ren Hua

Chief Executive Officer, Thai Wah Public Company Limited, Thailand

Ren Hua Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of of Thai Wah Public Company, a regional leader in starch and starch related products in the ASEAN region. The Company has 10 operations across the region and works extensively with small holder farmers in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam. Thai Wah was recognized in 2017 at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards and also is part of the ESG100 index in Thailand for its firm commitment towards sustainable best practices.
