António Simões is presently Chief Executive Officer, Global Private Banking. He was appointed in January 2019. He is also a member of the Group Management Board, HSBC’s Group Executive Committee.
Prior to his current position Mr Simões was the Chief Executive of HSBC Bank plc, with responsibility for the UK and Continental Europe, from September 2015.
Mr Simões joined HSBC in September 2007 as Group Head of Strategy, reporting to the
Group Chairman. In October 2009, he was appointed Group Head of Strategy & Planning
and Chief of Staff to the Group CEO, and subsequently spent two years in Hong Kong. In
January 2012, he relocated back to London to lead the European Retail Banking and
Wealth Management (RBWM) business, including responsibility for Asset Management
and Insurance. In January 2012 he became CEO for HSBC in the UK and deputy Chief Executive of HSBC Bank plc.
Mr Simões was a Director of HSBC Bank plc from January 2012 to September 2015. He is a Director of the French and Turkish subsidiary of HSBC Bank plc. He was a member of the Practitioner Panel of the Financial Conduct Authority (UK conduct regulator) since July 2013 and chair between August 2015 and July 2017. He was a practitioner member of the Banking Standards Board from April 2015 to July 2017.
Before joining HSBC, Mr Simões was a partner at McKinsey & Company’s London office.
During his time at McKinsey, he worked in financial services across several geographies.
He also worked at Goldman Sachs in London, serving financial institutions in Investment
Mr Simões is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion and has been recognised for
his contributions by several organisations.
Mr Simões holds an MBA with honours from Columbia University. He was appointed a
Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2009. He completed a WEF
leadership programme at Harvard Kennedy School. He is married and lives in London with his two children.
Bhav Singh has digitised, founded or built three businesses of scale in emerging and developed markets and has a strong consumer technology track record. He is the founder and Group CEO of Sandbox & Co, a leading digital learning company with 17 market-leading properties across the US, UK, Europe and Brazil, including CoolMathGames, Hopster and Playkids, reaching in excess of 60 million users each month.
Prior to founding Sandbox in 2015 Bhav worked as an ‘intrapreneur’ with large corporates. He built and scaled high growth businesses for Pearson globally and for ViacomCBS in the emerging markets. As President & CEO of Pearson English, Bhav transformed a legacy division into an integrated portfolio driven by subscription, software as a service, and direct retail through organic and M&A growth across China, Brazil, India, Germany, Indonesia and the US.
Prior to Pearson, Bhav spent eight years at ViacomCBS as Managing Director and EVP of the emerging markets group, rapidly scaling brands including MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central into strong positions across India, Central Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa. Bhav has also held senior roles across digital, general management and business development with Manchester United, IMG and Discovery Communications.
Bhav is a non-executive director on the BBC Commercial Board and serves as an independent non-executive director for GB Group PLC. He is a member of the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader.
Away from work, Bhav is a huge Pink Floyd fan and a passionate cricket follower, who loves to watch all forms of the game.
Anjhula Mya Singh Bais
Described by the Sunday Times as “an activist, academic, and an aristocrat out to shatter myths surrounding mental illness and psychology”, Dr. Anjhula Mya Singh Bais is an international psychology trauma specialist and the Chair of the International Board of Amnesty International. Dr. Bais's focus is human rights and mental health through a feminist lens. She was a thought leader and strategist inspiring on psychology, leadership, and human rights on her Lite FM radio show Mind Matters which had a weekly listenership of 1 million. Named a Fellow of the Apolitical Academy, Prestige Magazine's 40 Under 40, and bestowed the Global Citizen Psychologist Citation from the American Psychological Association, Bais is an alumni of Lady Shri Ram College, University College London, Columbia University, The Chicago School, a member of YPO and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. With two decades in the international fashion industry as a model and named a super model by Vogue, Bais's prerequisite for appearing on covers is that staunch attention is paid to body positivity. She has received Savvy's people's choice award for being the role model women most believed in.
Virginijus Sinkevičius has been the European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries since 2019. He was formerly the Minister of Economy of Lithuania (2017-2019). Before becoming the Minister of Economy, Sinkevičius led the Economic Committee of the Parliament of Lithuania. Sinkevičius was elected to Parliament in October 2016. Before that, he was a Team Lead for Regulatory Affairs at Invest Lithuania. Prior to joining Invest Lithuania, Sinkevičius was Managing Editor at the US Office of The Lithuanian Tribune in Washington D.C. Sinkevičius holds a BA in International Relations and Affairs from Aberystwyth University and a Master’s degree in European International Affairs from Maastricht University.

Dr David Skilling is the founding Director of Landfall Strategy Group, an economic and policy advisory firm based in the Netherlands and Singapore. David advises governments, companies, and financial institutions in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe on the impact of global macro, globalisation, and geopolitics, from a small advanced economy perspective. David writes regularly on global economic and political issues, including in a column in Singapore's Straits Times as well as in the Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, Project Syndicate, and Nikkei Asian Review. David has recently served as a Senior Advisor to the McKinsey Centre for Government; as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs & Trade in New Zealand; and as a Fellow at Singapore’s Civil Service College. Previously, David was an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company in Singapore, as well as being a Senior Fellow with the McKinsey Global Institute. Prior to joining McKinsey at the start of 2009, David was the founding Chief Executive of the New Zealand Institute, a privately funded, non-partisan think-tank. Until 2003, he was a Principal Advisor at the New Zealand Treasury, where he worked primarily on economic growth issues. David has a PhD in Public Policy and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University, as well as a Master's of Commerce (Hons) in Economics from the University of Auckland.

Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang is Head of BlackRock Switzerland, member of the EMEA Executive Committee and Senior Advisor to BlackRock Sustainable Investing. She currently serves as a non-executive director of the global shoe retailer Bata as well as the leading global business school INSEAD.
Prior to BlackRock, Mirjam Staub-Bisang co-founded and was formerly Managing Partner of Independent Capital Group AG an investment management firm focusing on sustainable investing based in Zurich. She served on the investment committees of pension funds and endowments and on the board of several several public and private companies, among which as chair of Profond Sammelstiftung, one of Switzerland’s leading multi-employer pension plans. Prior to these roles she held senior positions in asset management and private equity at Commerzbank and Swiss Life, Quadrant and was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch.
Mirjam Staub-Bisang holds a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich and an MBA from INSEAD. She authored the standard work “Sustainable Investing for Institutional Investors: Risks, Regulations, Strategies" (Wiley 2012) and co-authored the second edition of "Infrastructure as an Asset Class" (Wiley 2016). In 2009 she was elected a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
Gunhild Anker Stordalen
MD and PhD in Pathology/Orthopedic Surgery, University of Oslo. Founder and Chair, Stordalen Foundation. Founder & Executive Chair, EAT Foundation. Gunhild sits on several boards and advises on councils including the United Nation’s Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Lead Group, the World Economic Forum (WEF) Stewardship Board on Food Systems, REQ Capital Advisory Board, the UNICEF’s Advisory Group, member of Africa Europe Women Leaders Network, and the international advisory board of the SRC. In addition, Gunhild is an ambassador for Friends of Ocean action, a member of the High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy (HLP) for the Blue Economy, A HELENA member, and a part of the International Leadership Committee for a Net Zero NHS.
In 2020, Gunhild was appointed to a a leading role at the UN Food Systems Summit 2021. She is the Chair of the Summit’s Action Track 2: Shifting to Healthy and Sustainable Consumption Patterns, with a wide mandate to build a broad, multistakeholder coalition around this key challenge and opportunity, and leveraging the EAT platform to the full.
Following the critical success of his first book, The Bloodless Revolution (2006), and his international prize-winning book, Waste: Uncovering the Global Food Scandal (Penguin, 2009), Tristram Stuart founded the environmental charity Feedback which spawned a global movement against food waste with campaign wins on every inhabitable continent, and strives to transform the world’s food system from humanity’s biggest environmental burden to our most potent tool in reversing this. Tristram is an Ashoka Fellow, a National Geographic Emerging Explorer, UN Champion of SDG 12.3, and his TED talk has been viewed over 1.7 million times. In 2016 Tristram founded Toast Ale which upcycles unsold fresh bread into craft beer, and pours 100% distributable profits into Feedback & aligned charities. Already brewing in 5 countries, Toast Ale has won numerous prizes both for its sustainability & the sheer taste of the beer. Bread shouldn't be wasted, and neither should you. Drink responsibly.
