Ricardo Weder is an entrepreneur and promoter of the tech ecosystem in Mexico and Latin America. Today, Ricardo is Founder and CEO of Justo, the first online pure play supermarket in Mexico and a pioneer in LATAM, with the vision of transforming positively the food and consumer goods industry in Latin America. Previously, Ricardo was Global President of Cabify, where he was a key person in the growth of the company. Ricardo led the operations and expansion of the company from early-stage startup to a unicorn with a valuation of US$1.4b and presence throughout Iberia and Latin America. Over his professional career, Ricardo also worked in financial institutions like HSBC, JPMorgan and PWC. As entrepreneur he has founded several startups in the financial, real estate and consumer services industries. Furthermore, Ricardo has been university professor and is an independent board member of Principal Financial Group in Mexico. He is also part of the WEF expert network and was invited as founding member of the WEF Global Vanguard community. He is an angel investor and partner of OBS.mx, VC capital fund and an Endeavour entrepreneur. Ricardo was born in Mexico City, he is an Industrial Engineer from ITESM and holds an MBA from the University of Mannheim in Germany. During his master’s degree he spent time in the University of CUHK in Hong Kong. Lastly, he obtained a certificate in Innovation and Growth from Endeavor at Stanford University.
Gregorio Werthein is CEO and Chairman of Calwaro Capital. Before he was Co-Chief Executive Officer Replay Acquisition Corp, currently serves as a board member and an executive committee member of Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA (NYSE: TGS). Previously, he served as an Executive Managing Director of Werthein Group (2012 to 2019), and also as a board member of GNNW S.A., Experta ART and Cachay S.A. Mr. Gregorio Werthein received an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires in 2008, an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2011 and participated in the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School in 2017. In addition, as a former Olympic athlete, he is president of the Argentine Equestrian Federation and is an adviser to the Argentine Olympic Committee.
He is currently CEO of Intercorp, a holding company for one of Peru’s largest business groups. Focused on Peru’s growing middle class. Intercorp’s businesses are mainly focused on four sectors: financial services; retail (including shopping malls), education and health.
Also, he is Vice President of the Private Council of Competitiveness, Think Tank promoted by IPAE to propose public policies.
In the Public sector he has been Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Peru in two occasions.
In the private sector, he has served as CEO in both, Peru and Panama for the multinational SABmiller. He has also been a member of the Board of several companies in Peru, as well as business associations and NGOs.
Economist at the Universidad del Pacifico, with a master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Piura and with a MBA from the University of Birmingham in United Kingdom.
