Sarah Chen-Spellings

Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Beyond The Billion (launched as The Billion Dollar Fund for Women), USA

Based in Washington DC, investor & entrepreneur Sarah Chen is Co-Founder of Beyond The Billion (launched as The Billion Dollar Fund for Women), the world's first and largest global consortium of over 100 venture funds and limited partner investors that have pledged to invest beyond $1B towards women-founded companies. To date, the consortium has deployed $638M and counting into close to 800 female-founded companies, of which 11 were recognized as unicorns. Previously, she was on the pioneer team of a corporate venture capital unit within a $13B publicly traded Asian conglomerate, investing in later-stage biotechnology companies. Since then, she has been at the forefront of multi-million cross border investments, structuring and executing commercialization plans with her portfolio companies.

Determined to see more women at the helm, she sits on multiple boards, including 131 & Counting, a bipartisan effort to fete the unprecedented number of women serving in the House and Senate, encouraging more women to run for office in the US; and Lean In Malaysia, which she co-founded, a platform accelerating women into leadership in Muslim- majority Malaysia. Named Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and Forbes Under 30 VC, Chen is a recognized speaker, strategist and commentator on venture capital, startups and women in leadership, having been featured on Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg, Der Spiegel and at the United Nations, and is a celebrated host on the show and podcast #BillionDollarMoves backed by the Hubspot Podcast Network. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws, LL.B (Hons.) from King’s College London.

Shou Zi Chew

Chief Executive Officer, TikTok, Singapore

Shouzi Chew is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TikTok where he is responsible for partnering with the company's management team to drive global growth and lead corporate governance. Shou has been a member of the TikTok family since its inception, first having led a team of ByteDance's early investors. Previously, Shou served as the Executive Director, President-International & SVP at Xiaomi Corp. In the past he held the position of Partner at DST Global (Mgmt). Shou received an undergraduate degree from University College London and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Komal Dadlani

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Lab4U, Chile

Komal Dadlani is a Biochemist with an MSc from the University of Chile. In 2013 she started Lab4U to democratize science and change the way science is taught with a lab in the pocket. Today Lab4U is present in Latin American and the US with more than 120,000 students using Lab4Physics, their first product. Komal has been a recipient of the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2015, Toyota Mother of Invention Award 2017, MIT Technology Review 35 Under 35 Leaders in LatAm 2018, Ashoka Fellow and internationally recognized by The New York Times, Forbes, People Magazine, and the BBC for her work at Lab4U as a top female entrepreneur.

Aslihan Denizkurdu

Chief Operating Officer, Loomis Sayles Capital Re, France

Aslihan Denizkurdu is a Managing Director and Global Chief Operating Officer for Risk Management at Citigroup. In her role, she designs and oversees firm-wide frameworks and processes that enable prudent management of global risks across a $2 trillion balance sheet in 100 countries. Raised in Turkey, Denizkurdu believes in the power of large businesses in driving positive change and solving social problems. She has been a Fellow with the Aspen Institute’s First Movers programme for social intrapreneurs since 2012.

Ugyen Dorji

Minister of Home and Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs of Bhutan, Bhutan

Ugyen Dorji is the Minister of Home and Cultural Affairs of Bhutan. From November 2018 to September 2021, he was the Minister of Labour and Human Resources of Bhutan. He was elected to the National Assembly of Bhutan in 2018 after working five years in the ministry of foreign affairs.

Joelle Faulkner

President and Chief Executive Officer, Area One Farms, Canada

Joelle Faulkner co-founded and manages four funds with aggregate commitments of C$300 million. Area One Farms has maintained over 120,000 acres under Canadian ownership and control, helped 28 families establish equity positions in land that they farm, and brought over 15,000 acres into agricultural production from Area One's unique methods of land rehabilitation. Faulkner is a Director of Cognicity Inc., Baycrest Global Solutions Inc., Western University Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and the Canadian Rhodes Scholars Foundation.

Kate Gallego

Mayor of Phoenix, Arizona, City of Phoenix, USA

As the youngest female mayor of Phoenix, Arizona, the fifth most populous city in the US, Kate Gallego has built a reputation as a public servant . She has championed infrastructure solutions, sustainability, and economic development. Under her leadership, Phoenix is the fastest growing city in the United States.

Golriz Ghahraman

Member of Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, New Zealand

Golriz Ghahraman is a Member of Parliament in New Zealand. Born in Iran, she is the first refugee elected to the country’s House of Representatives, where she is a Member of the Green Party. Prior, she worked as an international lawyer for several United Nations Tribunals. Her work has also included restoring communities after war and human rights atrocities, particularly empowering women engaged in peace and justice initiatives.

Karina Gould

Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Employment and Social Development Canada, Canada

The Honourable Karina Gould was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Burlington in 2015.

A graduate of McGill University and the University of Oxford, Minister Gould is passionate about public service and international development. Before her election as the Member of Parliament for Burlington, she worked as a trade and investment specialist for the Mexican Trade Commission in Toronto, a consultant for the Migration and Development Program at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C., and spent a year volunteering at an orphanage in Mexico.

Minister Gould has deep roots in her hometown of Burlington, Ontario, and is an active member of the community and an advocate for women’s issues and affordable housing. She has volunteered with and actively supports the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club, the Burlington chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women, the Mississauga Furniture Bank, Halton Women’s Place, and other local organizations.

Minister Gould lives in Burlington with her husband Alberto and son Oliver.

With the birth of Oliver, Minister Gould became the first federal cabinet minister to have a baby while holding office. She is passionate about breaking down barriers for women, youth, and underrepresented groups.

Maria Margarita Gual Soler

Head, Science Diplomacy Capacity Building, Geneva Science Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), Switzerland

Dr. Marga Gual Soler is a science diplomat bridging the world through science. As the Head of Science Diplomacy Capacity Building at the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), she works with governments, universities, international organizations and scientific institutions to strengthen the role of science in global policy for a renewed multilateralism. A molecular biologist PhD by training, Dr. Gual Soler has been one of the pioneers in promoting science diplomacy as a field of research, policy and education worldwide. She has supported the science diplomacy strategies of several Latin American countries, Spain and the European Union and facilitated scientific cooperation between countries with difficult political relations, notably helping rebuild scientific cooperation between the United States and Cuba following the diplomatic normalization of 2015. She is most passionate about developing the next generation of science and diplomacy leaders to tackle global challenges. In 2019 she participated in the largest-ever women in STEM expedition to Antarctica to elevate women's leadership in sustainability and climate action, and in 2020 was recognized as a ‘Young Global Leader’ of the World Economic Forum.

Carlalberto Guglielminotti

Chief Executive Officer, NHOA, France

Carlalberto Guglielminotti is a serial entrepreneur and since 2013 CEO of NHOA, leading its listing at the Paris stock exchange in 2015 (NHOA:PA) and reaching in 2021 over €450 million market capitalization.
He transformed a technology start-up, Electro Power Systems, into ENGIE Eps, and then to NHOA: a top five global player in Energy Storage, a European leader in e-Mobility thanks to the JV with Stellantis (STLA:PA), and the developer of the largest EV fastcharging infrastructure in Southern Europe, Atlante, a fast and ultrafast charging network enabled by renewables and energy storage.
Guglielminotti has been co-founder of two other successful startups: Blackshape Aircraft and Restopolis, now TheFork (TripAdvisor).

Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer, Maimai, People's Republic of China

Mr. Jin He co-founded MAIMAI, the China-based profession service and social-networking platform in 2013. MAIMAI has been leading for years in China profession social market with over 120 million users. Mr. He is passionate about building up the energizing and improving work environment for the workforces and bringing more opportunities for the society. Mr. He is YGL 2020 from China.
