Nicole Vogrin

Former Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer, Western Union, USA

Nicole Vogrin became Western Union’s first Chief Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer in 2019, when she was tasked with spearheading the company’s global corporate brand, public affairs, and communications strategy with a focus on elevating and protecting the company’s reputation. In this role, Nicole shapes Western Union’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitment while strategically aligning it to the company’s global advocacy. She is based at the company’s global headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

Nicole joined Western Union in 2009. Through her tenure, she has held roles in Europe and the United States. Most recently, she served as Head of Corporate Relations and Chief of Staff to Western Union’s CEO, playing a key role in accelerating the company’s transformation agenda. In August 2019, when Nicole was promoted to her current role, she and her team started to bring together disparate comms functions, combining them with environmental, social, and governance and dedicated corporate brand teams, as well as the Western Union Foundation.

She is also a director of the board of the Western Union International Bank, Austria. In 2020, Nicole was recognized as one of PRWeek’s ‘40 Under 40,’ an annual list spotlighting U.S. PR professionals leading the future of communications and marketing; and was named one of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders.

Prior to joining Western Union, Nicole held finance, accounting, and marketing positions in the health care and electronics industries in Europe. She was born in Vienna, Austria and holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria.

Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Abdullah Yaakob

Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, TMC Life Sciences Berhad, Malaysia

Nadiah Wan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara in 2017 at age 32 and has also held the position of Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer at TMC Life Sciences Berhad, a public-listed healthcare group in Malaysia, since 2019. She currently also serves as a Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

Nadiah holds an MSc in Public Health (Nutrition) from the London School of Hygiene and Medicine, UK and pursued her undergraduate studies in Biochemical Sciences at Harvard College (AB cum Laude, ’07).

She is a mother of one who is passionate about transforming healthcare delivery and also mentoring young students in her capacity as Vice-President of the Harvard
Club of Malaysia. She is fond of finding new places to eat, exploring new destinations and collecting more books than she can read.

Weiwei Xing

Partner, Bain & Company Inc., Hong Kong SAR, China

Weiwei Xing is a Partner at Bain & Company. Based in Hong Kong, she leads the Asia consumer products practice with a particular focus on Greater China. Beyond her work at Bain, Weiwei devotes her expertise to advising non profits in operational improvement, strategic planning and fundraising.

Yoshiki Yasui

Chief Executive Officer, Yasui & Company, Japan

Born in Toronto in 1985, Yoshiki spent his childhood in Toronto and New York until moving to Japan at the age of 10. Yoshiki studied at the University of Sydney and Waseda University. Upon graduation, Yoshiki began his work in the Investment Banking Division for Lehman Brothers. Later he worked at a Silicon Valley VC, DCM Ventures where he was responsible for investments in the US, Japan and China. Yoshiki founded a mobile payment company Origami in 2012, and has been a committee member of the Payments Japan Association, as well as the New Industrial Structure Committee of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. Origami was acquired by Mercari in 2020. Young Global Leader Class of 2020 by the World Economic Forum.

Raya Yusuf-Sbitany

Chief Executive Officer, Derma Beauty Lab Ltd, Palestinian Territories

Ms. Raya Yusuf-Sbitany is an entrepreneur and Private Sector and Gender specialist.

She is the CEO of Derma Beauty Lab, a boutique skincare manufacturing company in Jerusalem, focusing on producing premium skincare products under the brand MINERALINE, using natural and organic ingredients, and enriched with Dead Sea minerals. The company has a sustainability strategy and a social program, focusing on ethical production and marketing, in addition to offering employment to women and youth from Jerusalem, where unemployment is at its highest, reaching over 85% among women in the city.

Raya also worked as a Private Sector and Gender consultant with UN Women. Prior to this position, Raya was the Chief Business Development & Financial Inclusion Officer at Bank of Palestine. During her career at the bank, she founded several departments at the bank including Business Development, Financial Inclusion, Investor Relations, and Quality Assurance, in addition to designing and implementing the bank’s Women’s Market program “Felestineya”, a comprehensive program to support women by offering banking products and services that meet their needs, a full program of advisory services and training, as well as implementing internal changes to promote gender equality. In 2015, Raya received the award of Best Investor Relations Professional in Palestine by the Middle East Investor Relations Society.

Raya holds a Master’s degree from King’s College London in International Management, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Middle Eastern Studies and Economics.

Raya is a member of the national Financial Inclusion Committee of the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA), a board member at Vitas Palestine Microfinance Institution, the Yabous Cultural Center in Jerusalem, and the Arab Orphan Committee Organization in Jerusalem.

Christian Zeinler

Personal, Switzerland

Christian Zeinler is Managing Director, Head of Strategy and Business Development at UBS where he has reorganized the team structure. He is passionate about the people mission in his job and invests significant time in sponsoring and coaching colleagues while creating opportunities. Prior to UBS, he successfully launched and managed a convertible bond fund before working at McKinsey & Company. Zeinler was one of McKinsey’s Core Leaders in its Wealth and Asset Management practice, leading and driving its efforts and knowledge creation globally on Investment Solutions. As a Partner, he was able to shape the industry’s strategic agenda working with the global leading institutions in this space.

Nancie Zhu

Anchor, Phoenix Satellite Television Co. Ltd, Hong Kong SAR, China

Nancie Zhu, a leading international anchorwoman, hosts finance and current affairs programs and moderates international events and conferences. She is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. As the Founder and CEO of a new media company, she is a social media influencer with 10 million followers. Nancie is a graduate of Harvard Law School.

Zhu Xiaoxuan

Head, Professor, Division of Research and Coordination, China Science and Technology Exchange Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, People's Republic of China

Dr. Zhu Xiaoxuan is the Deputy Director of China Science and Technology Exchange Center at the Ministry of Science and Technology. Dr. Zhu is an expert in international S&T cooperation policy development and has been participating national level research policy development in the S&T fields.

Fabio Ziemssen

Partner, Zintinus, Germany

Fabio Ziemssen has been working at the forefront of food-tech development in Germany and Europe for a decade to create a strong ecosystem for innovators, visionaries and founders. He has built a number of communities, including the Alternative Protein Association, Next Generation Food Think Tank and Foodnext, creating workspaces and innovation hubs, such as Food2025.de and Super7000. In 2017, he was elected by "Business Punk" as the top leader in food innovation in Germany.
