Jimmy Wales

Founder,, United Kingdom

Internet and technology entrepreneur Jimmy Wales, is founder of the online non-profit encyclopaedia Wikipedia and co-founder of the privately owned Wales serves on the board of trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit charitable organisation he established to operate Wikipedia. In 2019, Jimmy launched WT Social - a news focused social network. In 2006 Jimmy was named in Time magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People in the World’ for his role in creating Wikipedia.

Lisa Walker

Chief Executive Officer, Ecosphere+, United Kingdom

Lisa Walker recently left BG Group (now part of Royal Dutch Shell) where she served as Vice President for Environment & Climate Change to become CEO of start-up Ecosphere+. Lisa worked in the oil and gas sector for >17 years, closely involved in all aspects of climate change strategy development & implementation, public policy formation, sector coalition building and low-carbon business development. She was a driving force behind the UK Emissions Trading Group, the CCAC Oil & Gas Methane Partnership (which she Co-Chaired), the Sustainable Gas Institute and the CEO-led Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI). Lisa helped BG Group secure multiple industry awards for sustainability. Before BG Group Lisa held various roles at BP including Director of the BP Carbon Ventures corporate-VC fund. Lisa successfully secured capital for many innovative investments in sustainable land-use and forestry, low-carbon technologies and b io-energy, including first-of-their-kind deals for the private sector such as the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF). Lisa is a mother of four and originally from New Zealand.

Richard Walker

Managing Director, Iceland Foods, United Kingdom

Richard Walker is the managing director of Iceland, the United Kingdom grocer specializing in frozen foods. Iceland was founded in 1970 by Walker's father, Sir Malcolm Walker. Walker took over as managing director in August of 2018 and has led the retailer's concerted charge against the use of plastics and palm oil in the grocery sector. Previously, Walker was managing director of Iceland Food’s sister brand the Food Warehouse and Iceland’s director for sustainability. Iceland has been at the forefront of driving sustainability initiatives in the retail industry, which includes the frozen food chain’s commitment to eliminating plastic packaging for all own-brand products within five years and, most recently, a pledge to remove palm oil from the ingredients in all its products by the end of 2018.

Siobhan Walsh

Strategy Adviser, CyArk, USA

Siobhan Walsh has over 22 years experience in the international humanitarian relief and development sector. She was Executive Director and Co-Founder of Concern Worldwide US, an international NGO tackling extreme poverty throughout the world. Walsh has a degree in Business and her post graduate studies include International Marketing and Economic and Social Policy. Siobhan has served as Director and Strategy Advisor of the US based Rory Staunton Sepsis Foundation, special advisor to the Chairman of CyArk and currently works in South Africa as key strategist to the Chairman & CEO of Salesian Institute youth Projects focused on youth at risk.

Harry (Huai) Wang

Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Linear Capital, People's Republic of China

Huai (Harry) Wang is a founding and managing partner of Linear Venture L.P. (Linear) and the Chairman of the Youth Group of China's Future Forum, a nonprofit organization founded by a group of influential scientists, entrepreneurs and investors in China in 2015. Its mission is to establish an interdisciplinary platform in the Greater China region to promote science, the ultimate driving force of human civilization, and scientists, the torchbearers who illuminate the path to the future. At Linear Ventures, Harry has led investments in more than 40 technology companies, including sector leading startups such as Horizon Robotics(, US$300M), Rokid (, US$650M), FraudMetrix(, US$650M), SensorsData(, US$50M), TaoData(, US$50M), SeetaTech (, US$60M), etc. He also served as a CEO advisor to$7B) and Baixing(US$700M). In 2013, Huai published his first book, How Facebook was Engineered, which became popular in the Internet startup community. He served as a Judge for Forbes China 30 under 30 in 2014 and 2013. Prior to founding Linear, Huai worked for Facebook in California as an engineering manager and joined Facebook in its early years (early 2007) when there were about 100 employees. Harry is the first Chinese citizen who took an engineering leadership role at Facebook. He earned his MS degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and his BS degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang Univerity. Harry serves as a member of the Council for the i-tech school in the Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Acadamy of Science. Harry is also a China Fellow at Aspen Institute and a permanent member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Wang Guan

News Anchor and Host, China Global Television Network, People's Republic of China

Wang Guan is a News Anchor and the Host of “Dialogue at CGTN”. He also writes and hosts “Reality Check with Wang Guan”, a weekly digital show. From 2011-19, Wang was CCTV/CGTN’s Chief US Correspondent based in Washington DC, where he covered US-China relations from the White House and the State Department. He has interviewed dozens of world leaders in politics, diplomacy, business and academia. Wang has lectured at several US universities and think tanks on US-China relations, including Harvard, Columbia, and Johns Hopkins University. He has appeared on PBS News Hour, BBC Radio, RT and Al Jazeera. He has chaired/moderated events at the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and various government and businesses forums. He is a recipient of awards, including the Young Leader award from the National Committee on US-China relations, and has been named an “Asia 21” Young Leader by the Asia Society. With millions of followers on social media, Wang Guan is a leading Chinese voice on the global stage, analyzing geopolitical and economic events. As a former junior footballer, sprinter and national public speaking champion, Wang Guan is also a youth icon in China, avidly promoting athleticism, oratory skills and globally-mindedness among the younger generation.

Wang Wen

Food Scientist, Nestlé R&D Centre Singapore, Singapore

Bioengineer, entrepreneur and designer. Research focuses on biointerface, involving interdisciplinary studies that combine the knowledge of biotechnology, advanced materials, and design. Vision is to fill the gap between research and real-world applications by enabling easy to access technology and more affordable products. Has been working on numerous research and commercial projects, for instance, producing therapeutic proteins and small molecule drugs with novel processes, making sustainable biofuel from waste, removing sulphur from diesel, and fabricating innovative healthcare/household products using biological living materials. Recent research focuses on innovative materials to enhance well-being, such as functional and shape-shifting food. Work has been recognized by the media (Washington Post, CNN, Discovery), academia (Science Advances, JACS, ACM-CHI), and the public (through exhibitions at Centre Pompidou, Ars Electronica).

James Wanjohi

Managing Partner, Alpha Strategy Consultants, South Africa

James Heads up Alpha Strategy Consulting, an African boutique strategy advisory house; advising large corporates on their expansion in Africa. He previously headed up GEMS Education Solutions work in Africa. Previuosly, he was the Managing Director of the Branson School of Entrepreneurship, established in 2006 by Sir Richard Branson, to spearhead the advancement of young marginalized entrepreneurs. A successful visionary entrepreneur, Wanjohi was educated in India (Aurangabad and Vadodara) in commerce, economics and strategy. Today James partners with corporates to build youth entrepreneurship programs linked to innovation responding to the youth bulge challenge in Africa. He serves on the Boards of Ndiza Micro Finance and UDDI, and is a Strategic Director for Africa Kapital Konnect.

Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Abdullah Yaakob

Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, TMC Life Sciences Berhad, Malaysia

Nadiah Wan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara in 2017 at age 32 and has also held the position of Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer at TMC Life Sciences Berhad, a public-listed healthcare group in Malaysia, since 2019. She currently also serves as a Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

Nadiah holds an MSc in Public Health (Nutrition) from the London School of Hygiene and Medicine, UK and pursued her undergraduate studies in Biochemical Sciences at Harvard College (AB cum Laude, ’07).

She is a mother of one who is passionate about transforming healthcare delivery and also mentoring young students in her capacity as Vice-President of the Harvard
Club of Malaysia. She is fond of finding new places to eat, exploring new destinations and collecting more books than she can read.

Pooja Warier Hamilton

Managing Partner, The Conduit, United Kingdom

Pooja is the Senior Advisor at Apolitical, a peer to peer and first of its kind learning platform for government. Apolitical helps government transform itself by connecting public servants to the latest and best ideas, skills, and partners they need to solve today’s complex challenges. She is also the Interim Executive Director of the Apolitical Academy that accelerates the transition of the next generation of transformational leaders to governments or elected offices.

Prior to that, she was the Founding and Managing Partner of Conduit Connect, an impact investing platform for The Conduit, a community of investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders. She also supported the formation of Conduit Capital to fund and scale high impact solutions with The Conduit community. Pooja was the co-founder and former CEO of UnLtd India, that finds, funds and supports early-stage social entrepreneurs in India. She also co-founded Bombay Connect, a co-working space for entrepreneurs and Journeys for Change that brings global leaders to learn from social entrepreneurs in India.

Pooja serves as an advisor for private family offices and sits on advisory councils of Educate Girls and Greenwood Place. She is a TED India Fellow since 2009, a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum since 2013 and an Aspen India fellow since 2016.
