Nasreen Ali Mohamed

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Afrikapu Ltd, Kenya

Nasreen is a social tech-preneur passionate about technology and inclusion of low income households especially women and girls. She founded Afrikapu to give disadvantaged women and youth a voice through business growth and help them be ambassadors of advocacy issues affecting their communities.

Her zeal to alleviate poverty and give marginalized women a getaway to life-changing opportunities, led Nasreen to start Afrikapu to introduce real, tangible impact into the Global Handicraft industry and uplift the lives of underrepresented women and girls throughout Africa’s conservancies and informal sectors, a sector that makes up to 80% of Africa’s economy.

With presence in Kenya and United Kingdom, Afrikapu offers artisans a holistic integrated approach by providing them with handcrafting skills training, access to credit to start independent income generating activities, provide global market linkages for their eco-friendly handmade products, and an e-wallets gratuity system to further grow their savings and effectively invest in their life goals such as purchase of property, children's education, business expansion / diversification.

Afrikapu leverages blockchain technology to provide transparency in the process and a more personal artisan to consumer connection.

Nasreen’s work has been recognized globally, earning her multiple awards alongside leaders from reputable organizations and platforms whose members have gone on to become Nobel Prize recipients, heads of state, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and Grammy Award winners.

Nasreen holds a Master of Science Degree from University of York, UK, an Executive Leadership certificate from Dartmouth College, USA , a Bachelors (Hons) Degree in Business Management from University of Sunderland, UK, an Advanced Diploma in Business and Law from Edith Cowan University, Australia.

Nomasonto Evelyn Motaung

Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Government of South Africa, South Africa

Nomasonto Evelyn Motaung is a distinguished South African politician currently serving as Deputy Minister in the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa. Elected as a Member of Parliament in 2019 at the age of 33, she quickly rose to prominence as one of the youngest MPs in South Africa. Motaung actively contributed to discussions and decision-making processes on the Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry. Her dedication to public service and notable achievements in the political sphere have garnered respect, establishing her as a prominent figure in South African governance.

Henry Motte-Muñoz

Founder and Executive Chairman, Edukasyon.ph, Philippines

Henry Motte-Muñoz is the Founder of Edukasyon.ph, the largest EdTech platform in the Philippines empowering more than 8 million students each year with advice, soft skills training and academic support. He got his MBA from Harvard Business School, and previously worked at Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs. Henry’s work has been recognized by global and regional organizations including the WEF (YGL Class of 2020), Financial Times and IFC (Transformational Business Award 2017), Forbes (30 Under 30 Asia 2016) and Asia Society (21 Young Leaders 2015).

Françoise Moudouthe

Chief Executive Officer, African Women's Development Fund, Ghana

A pan-African feminist, Françoise Moudouthe is passionate about advocating for women's rights and building powerful feminist movements in Africa and beyond. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the African Women's Development Fund in November 2020. She is also the founder of Eyala, a bilingual (French-English) platform that harnesses the power of conversation to explore what it means to be an African feminist. She also sits on the boards of the Malala Fund and Womankind Worldwide. Before joining AWDF, Moudouthe worked as an independent consultant, leveraging her strategic and advocacy skills to promote gender and social justice in Africa and worldwide. Prior to that, she dedicated eight years to incubating Girls Not Brides, the global civil society partnership to end child marriage, and spearheading its growth in Africa.

Ali Mukhtar

Director, Fatima Fertilizer Company Ltd, Pakistan

Ali Mukhtar is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fatima Ventures, a prominent venture capital fund in Pakistan's start-up ecosystem. Under his leadership, Fatima Ventures has launched Pakistan's leading technology fund, Fatima Gobi Ventures, in partnership with Gobi Partners. Mukhtar has invested in leading technology start-ups, contributing to their growth and success. He also serves as a Director at Fatima Group, overseeing group strategy and investments. As an active member of the Pakistani business community, Mukhtar holds advisory roles in organizations supporting entrepreneurs and innovation.

Barbara Mulvee

Board Member, Child Center of Ny Inc, USA

Barbara Mulvee is a seasoned financial services executive, strategic advisor and angel investor. She spent 2023 working with Citation Capital, a newly launched Private Equity firm, focusing on business development and capital creation. Before joining Citation in 2022, she was a Managing Director and Global COO of Securities Research at Credit Suisse. During her 12 years at the bank, she held multiple roles, primarily leading business strategy for the Global Markets division. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, she spent five years at Deloitte Consulting serving financial services clients. Barbara was appointed as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2020, where she is currently serving a five year term. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Child Center of New York, a non-profit focused on providing children and their families with healthcare and other social services in New York City, where she chairs the strategic planning committee and sits on the finance committee. Barbara currently resides in New York City with her husband, Conner.

Alaa Murabit

Director, Global Policy, Advocacy and Communications, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USA

A leading security, sustainable development, and global health expert, Dr. Alaa Murabit expertise shapes health and security strategies, policies and resources across 193 countries. Alaa is a UN Sustainable Development Goals Advocate appointed by the UN Secretary-General, the Director of Global Policy, Advocacy, and Communications at the Gates Foundation, and a UN High-Level Commissioner on Health, Employment, and Economic Growth.

At 21, Alaa founded Voice of Libyan Women, sparking a global dialogue on the influence of religious interpretations on women's leadership and security in conflict zones. Her TED Talk has garnered over seven million views, and the New York Times cited it as "defining the future of feminism." Her contributions to global security, health, gender, faith leadership, and sustainability have earned her prestigious recognitions, including the Canadian Meritorious Service Cross, the 2021 Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship, MIT Media Lab Fellow, the Nelson Mandela International Award, and New York Times Hero.

A medical doctor, Alaa is a 2022 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, serves on the Malala Fund and Women for Women International boards and in her spare time, she moonlights as a personal assistant to her two toddlers.

Tom Mustill

Director, Gripping Films Ltd, United Kingdom

Tom Mustill is a Producer, Director and Writer specializing in stories of where people and nature meet. He makes anything from 90-minute specials to three-minute virals. His short, #NatureNow, has been seen over 60 million times. He also directed on the blockbuster Inside Nature’s Giants series, which won a BAFTA, Royal Television Society and Broadcast award, as well as the ZSL Award for Communicating Zoology.

Vinati Mutreja

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Vinati Organics Limited, India

Vinati Mutreja is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of specialty chemical company Vinati Organics, where she has overseen an increase in revenue and market capitalization. She has been innovative in selecting chemical processes and products that are environmentally attractive. The jury of The Economic Times Family Business Awards chose Mutreja as the Outstanding Woman Business Leader for 2018. She was also named as part of Forbes India W-Power Trailblazers 2019 and The Economic Times Women Ahead 2019 list.

Griffin Myers

Co-founder and Board Member, Oak Street Health, USA

Dr. Griffin Myers is a Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Oak Street Health, (NYSE: OSH), a network of primary care centers that delivers value-based care to older adults. He serves on the Board of Directors and is involved in supporting the 5,000+ employees caring for Oak Street Health patients.

Prior to Oak Street Health, Dr. Myers did his residency in emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School at the Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals. Dr. Myers has a B.S. from Davidson College, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School, an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern University, a Presidential Leadership Scholar, and an Aspen Health Innovators Fellow. He splits his time between New York City and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Zuriel C. Naiker

Managing Director, Marsh & McLennan Companies, South Africa

An African leader in financial services who has worked across multiple geographies on projects that have attracted interest internationally. Through various leadership roles, he has sought to meaningfully drive equality, diversity, inclusion and education in the corporate and non-profit environments. He has worked with both government and the private sector as a contributor, advisor and board member.

Akiko Naka

CEO, Wantedly Inc, Japan

Akiko Naka is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wantedly, a social networking service for professionals. Following its official launch in February 2012, Wantedly grew to 2.5 million monthly active users and 30,000 corporations. Wantedly has become the leading professional social networking service in Japan. Naka was the youngest female founder to take a company public in Japan.
