Bárbara Luiza Coutinho do Nascimento

State Prosecutor, Rio de Janeiro State Prosecutor's Office, Brazil

Bárbara Nascimento is a Public Prosecutor in Rio de Janeiro State Prosecutor's Office working with human rights, cybercrimes, anti-corruption and new technologies. Her research in those fields led her to win an academic competition at the 2018 OECD Global Anti-corruption and Integrity Forum. She holds a Master of Laws degree in Information Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh and a Master of Laws degree in Theory and Philosophy of Law from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), where she received a merit scholarship (Faperj Grade 10). Bárbara also holds an LLB from UERJ and a post-graduate degree in Law from the Rio de Janeiro School of Magistrates. She has published numerous academic articles in journals and has been invited to speak at international conferences.

Thomas Crampton

Head, Corporate Affairs, Greenlight Biosciences Inc, United Kingdom

Thomas heads corporate affairs, including investor relations, marketing, communications and government affairs, for GreenLight Biosciences, a biotech company focused on cutting edge RNA research, design and manufacturing.

In addition to COVID-19 vaccine candidates, GreenLight is applying RNA technology to human therapeutics (Sickle Cell Disease), animal health (protecting honey bees) and plant health (crop protection).

Our goal is to use science to address humanity’s greatest challenges and my role is to engage with investors, partners, regulators, customers and the general public.

Thomas joined GreenLight from The Commons Project Foundation, where as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer he led the launch of high-profile digital services and multi-stakeholder digital initiatives aimed at mitigating the impact of the COVID pandemic by allowing people to share their health information in a privacy-preserving manner.

Prior to that, he led 1,000+ member global marketing and communications teams based out of the U.S., Europe and Asia. This included Global Chair, Digital at Edelman, Global Principal for Ogilvy Consulting and Global Managing Director for Social@Ogilvy. Clients included MSD Merck, Philips, McKinsey, Nestlé and Samsung.

For nearly two decades he was a foreign correspondent and columnist for The New York Times and International Herald Tribune based out of Asia, Europe and the United States, covering the 2003 SARS outbreak in Asia, rare diseases in Africa, the 2004 U.S. presidential campaign, economics and technology.

A frequent public speaker, he has delivered keynote speeches at many leading events and universities, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, SXSW, Cannes Lions, DLD, Stanford University, Tokyo University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.

Alexis Crow

Partner; Global Head, Geopolitical Investing, PwC, USA

A global economist who focuses on geopolitics and investing, Alexis Crow provides insights on capital allocation and long-term investment. She covers Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and North America. She is a public speaker on the global macroeconomic environment and the geopolitical landscape, with a focus on sectors including real estate and infrastructure, environmental, social and governance (ESG), energy, technology and consumers. She leads a team of experts, with a focus on developing their expertise in macroeconomic analysis, geopolitical investing, developing client relationships, and using data visualization tools to guide investment decisions. She is a Senior Fellow at Columbia Business School and with the Global Business and Economics programme at the Atlantic Council, focussing on income inequality, ESG and the environment, and economic empowerment of women. She mentors young women and young men who are seeking their purpose and to foster their careers in business and policy. She also volunteers in New York City with Santa Egidio, participates at the Basilica of Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral as reader, and works to support professional people seeking a richer spiritual life St Patrick's Cathedral, along with addressing issues such as immigration and income inequality.

Thomas Crowther

Professor, Department of Environmental Systems Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland

Thomas Crowther is a Welsh ecologist in the
department of Global Ecosystem Ecology at ETH
Zurich, where he founded Crowther Lab, an
interdisciplinary group of scientists studying global
ecosystems and generating knowledge to protect
biodiversity and address climate change. He serves
as chair of the advisory board of the UN Decade on
Ecosystem Restoration and chief scientific advisor
to the UN’s Trillion Trees Campaign.
Crowther is the founder of Restor, a science-based
open data platform that provides ecological
insights, transparency and connectivity to
conservation and restoration efforts across the
globe. Restor was named a finalist for the Royal
Foundation’s 2021 Earthshot Prize. Crowther serves on the advisory council
of WEF’s Trillion Trees initiative (1T.org).

Idalia Cruz Garza

Director, Strategy, Media, TV Azteca S.A.B de C.V., Mexico

Idalia Cruz Garza is Director of Media Strategy at Grupo Salinas, which has operations in media, retail, financial services, telecommunications and Internet industries through its own subsidiaries. TV Azteca owns and operates 300 TV networks in Mexico and is one of the two largest producers of Spanish language television programmes worldwide. Previously, Cruz held positions within various media as well as in Procter & Gamble Mexico. She is Founder and President of the TV Committee and the Mexican Joint Industry Committee. She is on the Board of Directors of various international media organizations including the Media Rating Council and the Advertising Research Foundation. Cruz holds a BSc in Economics from ITAM and an MSc from the London School of Economics. Postgraduate studies in Finance, Marketing and Politics from ITAM, ITESM, Harvard Business and JFK Schools. Cruz is listed as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Mexico and was nominated for ESOMAR's Excellence Award in 2009.

Alejo Czerwonko

Chief Investment Officer Emerging Markets Americas, UBS AG, USA

Alejo is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Emerging Markets Americas for Global Wealth Management, based in New York. In this capacity, Alejo leads a team of analysts focusing on emerging markets macroeconomics and the development of investment ideas in these markets, influencing the allocation of billions of dollars of the firms assets under management. He is a member of the CIO Americas Management Committee and the Wealth Management Latin America Management Committee. Alejo is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Wilson Centers Latin America Program, the leading global think tank based in Washington, DC. Alejo frequently appears on Bloomberg Television, CNBC, and CNN, and regularly contributes to financial publications including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal. Alejo earned a PhD in economics from Columbia University. He also holds degrees in economics and finance from Tilburg University and Universidad del CEMA. He is an Adjunct Professor at Columbias School of International and Public Affairs, where he teaches a course on emerging markets.

Nighat Dad

Board Member, The Oversight Board, United Kingdom

Lawyer and the Founder of Digital Rights Foundation which works to help Pakistani women fight against online harassment. Campaigner for online freedom and contributed to a law against acid attacks. Specializes in family law and cyber law and was named one of TIME magazine's next generation leaders. In 2016, awarded the Atlantic Council Digital Freedom Award and Dutch Government's Human Rights Tulip award. TED Fellow in 2016 and spoke at the TED Global stage.

Komal Dadlani

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Lab4U, Chile

Komal Dadlani is a Biochemist with an MSc from the University of Chile. In 2013 she started Lab4U to democratize science and change the way science is taught with a lab in the pocket. Today Lab4U is present in Latin American and the US with more than 120,000 students using Lab4Physics, their first product. Komal has been a recipient of the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2015, Toyota Mother of Invention Award 2017, MIT Technology Review 35 Under 35 Leaders in LatAm 2018, Ashoka Fellow and internationally recognized by The New York Times, Forbes, People Magazine, and the BBC for her work at Lab4U as a top female entrepreneur.

Sofana Dahlan

Founder and Managing Partner, Sofana Rabea Dahlan Law Firm, Saudi Arabia

Sofana Dahlan is an accomplished Saudi lawyer and social entrepreneur. She holds the prized distinction of being the first female lawyer to be permitted to practice law in Saudi Arabia and has served as a legal consultant in different parts of the Arab world including Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Kuwait.

Dahlan practices in areas such as corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, arbitration, mediation, litigation and mergers and acquisitions with a special focus on creative industries. She is an effective negotiator and has achieved notable success in helping her clients resolve their conflicts and reach settlements through mediation.

Currently, Dahlan is involved with the Saudi Bar Association as the first female to serve on the Fee Assessment Committee. She has regularly engaged and sat on the board of various entities, such as Khadija Bint Khuwailid Centre and Namaa Almunawara, to advise on corporate governance matters, crises and special situations.

Her time in the private sector has also been dedicated to setting up many social enterprises that focus on developing the creative industries in the region. She is the founder of Tashkeil – a Saudi-based social enterprise that incubates, accelerates and promotes creative entrepreneurs. She is also the founder of Kayanspace – a membership-based environment for creative professionals, entrepreneurs and freelancers along with the Saudi National Creative Initiative (SNCI) - a collaborative creative knowledge transfer platform.

Dahlan has also served in the public sector as the Vice Governor for Entrepreneurship Advancement at the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority of Saudi Arabia from 2016 to 2017, making her the first Saudi female senior economic policymaker.
Dahlan is an avid advocate of cultural, heritage and socially oriented issues. She has spoken at public platforms such as TEDx, BOLDtalks Women, World Economic Forum, MITEF Enterprise Forum and Estoril Conferences and has penned numerous articles on topics such as women’s rights, social values, and interreligious dialogue.

She has completed an undergraduate degree in Law (LLB) from Cairo University and a postgraduate degree in Islamic Law from the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies in Egypt along with an MBA from the American University of Technology.

Dahlan participated in the Harvard Executive program Leading for the Future: The Arab Region in a Changing World in 2011 and has obtained executive degrees in Global Leadership and Public Policy from Harvard University in 2015, Art of Successful Negotiations from Harvard University (Law School) in 2017, Transformational Leadership from the University of Oxford in 2018 and Public Leadership from Apolitical Academy in 2021.

Matt Dalio

Founder and Chair, Endless OS, USA

Matt Dalio is Founder and Chair of Endless, a collection of affiliated companies and initiatives focused on building and supporting technology that drives social impact. Prior, he launched The Issue, an online media venture aimed at curating the best of the blogosphere. After merging The Issue into PBS's world news programme, he joined Harbor Point, one of the East Coast's largest urban renewal projects to revitalize the waterfront of Stamford, Connecticut. Dalio also holds positions on the boards of the Half The Sky Foundation and China Care Foundation, which he founded at the age of 16 to offer orphaned children a brighter future. For his work, Dalio was honoured as one of Oprah Winfrey’s People Changing the Lives of Children Around the World, was one of Teen People's 20 Teens Who Will Change the World, and is the youngest recipient of the Fulbright Award for furthering peace and international understanding. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
