Christophe Beck

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ecolab, USA

Christophe Beck is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life. He guides Ecolab’s 47,000 associates as they provide unique expertise and innovative solutions to help make the world cleaner, safer and healthier.

As a trusted partner at nearly three million customer locations in more than 40 industries, many of the world’s most recognizable companies rely on Ecolab to help improve their outcomes, including operational performance, product quality, customer satisfaction and bottom lines, while delivering on their ambitious sustainability commitments.

Christophe believes Ecolab is uniquely positioned to help solve society’s most pressing water and climate challenges. “Water stewardship is critical to reducing energy use and advancing net zero goals, and vital to help address our world’s environmental challenges.” In 2021 alone, Ecolab helped customers avoid 3.6 million tons of GHG emissions and preserve 215 billion gallons of water, equal to the annual drinking water needs of more than 700 million people.

Christophe was named Ecolab’s president and chief executive officer in January 2021, and chairman in May 2022. Since joining Ecolab in 2007, he has held several senior leadership roles, including president and chief operating officer; executive vice president and president, Global Industrial Group; executive vice president and president of Nalco Water, an Ecolab company; and executive vice president and president, International Regions. He also led the integration of Nalco following Ecolab’s acquisition of the company in 2011.

Christophe is recognized as a thoughtful and effective leader, and in 2006, was nominated as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum for his accomplishments and commitment to shape a better world.

A native of Switzerland, Christophe holds dual Swiss and U.S. citizenship. He has a master’s degree in Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and serves on the institution’s strategic advisory board. He also serves on the board of directors of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation.

Early in his career, Christophe worked on a space shuttle project for the European Space Agency. He and his wife have two children and live near the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Jessica Beckerman

Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Muso, USA

Jessica Beckerman is a health justice advocate who works to end preventable deaths rooted in poverty by building rapid universal healthcare systems. She is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Muso, which has given care to 330,000 patients throughout Mali and supports the country’s national community health efforts to deliver health systems impact for 3.4 million of the country's most vulnerable citizens. Muso's work has been featured by The Atlantic, Forbes, The Guardian, BBC World Service and The Financial Times. She is also a practicing Obstetrician-Gynecologist in Oakland, California.

Terry Beech

Member of Parliament, Parliament of Canada, Canada

Terry Beech is an accomplished and experienced entrepreneur, educator, and advocate for access to education and the expansion of entrepreneurship. Terry entered public service 18 years ago when he was elected as a city councillor in Nanaimo. He was named one of Maclean's Top 30 Under 30 in 2004, one of Business in Vancouver?s Top 40 Under 40 in 2013, and was also selected as an Action Canada Fellow. An Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, Terry is the author of "The In-Credibility Factor", and of "A National Strategy for High Growth Entrepreneurship in Canada" which highlights his desire for Canada to become a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship. He founded and was both CEO and Chairman of HiretheWorld.com, and is a co-founder of Twinbro, a non-profit organization that has helped over 25,000 students to obtain millions of dollars in scholarships and financial aid. He is a past board member of Lift Philanthropy and worked with entrepreneurs to launch and grow businesses at Beech Partners. While serving as a city councillor, Terry began his studies in Public Administration at Capilano University, who named him as one of the school's "Alumni to Watch". He holds a bachelor's degree with a joint major in Business and Economics from Simon Fraser University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Oxford. Terry was re-elected to his third term as a Member of Parliament on in 2021. Terry has served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Science, Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, as well as the Ministry of Transport. He is currently Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance and the Deputy Prime Minister.

Eli Beer

Founder and President, Friends of United Hatzalah Inc, USA

Eli Beer is the Founder of United Hatzalah of Israel and President of Friends of United Hatzalah, Israel's largest all-volunteer emergency medical response organization. Eli began to work at his family's book and real estate businesses at the age of 13 and began to volunteer on ambulances at the age of 15, twice a week. At the age of 17 he realized that a more flexible system has to be established to improve response time in case of emergencies. United Hatzalah has grown impressively since its establishment and now has over 4500 EMT's, paramedics and doctors volunteering within its framework. Eli has been awarded numerous prizes and acknowledgments across the globe for innovative and lifesaving work.

Brian Behlendorf

General Manager, Open Source Security Foundation, Linux Foundation, USA

Brian is Managing Director of the Open Source Security Foundation, a software consortium hosted at the Linux Foundation focused on securing the global software supply chain. He also serves on the boards of the Mozilla Foundation, Filecoin Foundation, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Formerly he was Chief Technology Officer at the World Economic Forum; Founder and Chief Technology Officer, CollabNet, a company focused on bringing open source collaborative software development tools and methodologies into enterprise environments; and an advisor at the Office of Science and Technology Policy at the White House in 2009 and 2010. Brian co-founded and served as the Founding President of the Apache Software Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit that organizes volunteer open source software development projects around key Internet technologies.

Georgie Benardete

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Finance Sustainably, USA

Georgie Benardete is a technology investor and entrepreneur. She is the CEO of Align 17, a private digital platform that connects private capital to Global Goals investments.

Previously she is Co-Founded Orchard Mile, the digital Madison Avenue. Recognized by Interbrand as a "Breakthrough Brand 2016", it leverages on the pioneering in-ad universal cart technology created by her previous company, Shopbeam. Benardete started her career at OPIC, Coopers & Lybrand and JP Morgan. A committed environmentalist, she founded Yesilist.com, Turkey's largest green portal. She is also part of Al Gore's Climate Project as a speaker, a founding member of the Charly Alberti R21 Foundation in Latin America and a LEAD International Fellow. Benardete is an active investor in Belle Capital USA, an early-stage VC fund that promotes investments in companies with strong female leadership, and is a Founding Curator of the World Economic Forum's Glob al Shapers hub in San Juan and NYC. She is Member Emeritus of the
UN Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council.

Georgie earned a Master of Science of Foreign Service (with honors) from Georgetown University, where she was a Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellow. She coursed studies in Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. She loves to weave purpose in her life and support others who do.

Katharina Beumelburg

Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, Schlumberger Ltd, USA

Katharina Beumelburg is Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, a position she assumed in May 2021. Prior to her current position, she led the global Transmission Services business for Siemens Energy AG.

Beumelburg previously held various positions in Siemens over more than 16 years including Executive Vice President, Strategy, Siemens Gas and Power; and leading the Siemens Hydrogen Solutions business. Prior to this, Beumelburg was Global Head of Siemens Business Excellence and spent the earlier part of her career in Siemens Management Consulting, where she held VP and project manager roles. Before joining Siemens in 2005, she started her career at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production technologies and automation in Stuttgart, Germany.

Beumelburg holds a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from Universität Siegen; a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Robotics and Automation from Universität Stuttgart.

Beumelburg has been a Young Global Leader in the World Economic Forum since 2015.

Rwitwika Bhattacharya-Agarwal

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Swaniti Initiative, USA

Founder and CEO, Swaniti Initiative, social enterprise that delivers development solutions by working with government officials. Role focuses on issues around good governance, data-driven delivery and public services. Former Labour Economist, World Bank, focusing on issues of job creation. Has also worked for organizations such as UNFPA and FICCI. Master's in Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School; graduate in Political Science, Wake Forest University. Author of publications including: Frontiers in Development Policy (World Bank); A Primer on Labor Policies (World Bank); Global Business School Network (Harvard Business School).

Peter Bisanz

Adviser, GHR Foundation, USA

Peter Bisanz is a social entrepreneur, filmmaker and pioneer in the emerging field of Social Impact Entertainment (SIE), which leverages the power of entertainment to catalyze change on some of the world’s toughest challenges. He has also spearheaded social impact campaigns while Head of Communications and Development for the World Economic Forum’s think-and-do tank (the Global Agenda Councils), which is charged with tackling the world’s most pressing environmental, social and geopolitical issues.

Peter was the founding Executive Director for the Skoll Center for SIE in Hollywood — the first center of its kind — where he partnered with Participant Media in publishing The State of SIE, the first book on the topic. He also previously served as Head of Development for Paramount Pictures’ The Ladd Company, directed Entropy Films’ feature length documentary Beyond our Differences and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2007.

Peter currently leads The Power of Story, a new SIE consultancy and production company. The Power of Story's current project is a documentary series and integrated social impact campaign based on The Conversation, Harvard Professor Robert Livingston’s eponymous book about a radically non-judgmental and scientific approach to ending systemic racism.

Peter earned his MBA from the University of Oxford, an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a BFA in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School of Arts.

Zachary Bogue

Managing Partner, DCVC, USA

Zack is co-founder & managing partner of DCVC (Data Collective), a venture fund that backs entrepreneurs applying deep tech to transform giant industries. DCVC’s portfolio includes Planet Labs, Twelve, Carbon Health, Tala, Pivot Bio and Rigetti Computing. Zack has nearly two decades of experience in Silicon Valley as an entrepreneur, lawyer, advisor and angel investor in start-ups such as Square and Uber. Zack is also a founder and managing partner of Founders Den, the original co-working space and clubhouse for experienced entrepreneurs. He serves on the non-profit boards of the East Palo Alto Charter School and The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Zack graduated with honors from Harvard University with an AB in Environmental Science and earned his JD with honors from Georgetown Law School. Zack is passionate about promoting nuclear energy.

Katharina Borchert

Former: Editor-in-Chief and Director, Online, WAZ Media Group, which owns daily papers, magazines and TV stations across Germany and Eastern Europe; Chief Executive Officer, SPIEGEL ONLINE, the leading German news site. Former Chief Innovation Officer, Mozilla, the maker of Firefox and advocate for the open web as a public resource. Recipient of several awards; named Young Journalist of the Year (2006).

Caroline Boudreaux

Founder, The Miracle Foundation, USA

Caroline Boudreaux is the founder of Miracle Foundation.org where for the past 20 years they have been empowering orphans and vulnerable children to reach their full potential. Miracle Foundation’s revolutionary Thrive Scale™ methodology is based on the UN Rights of the Child and leverages data and technology to create a family for every child in our lifetime. To date Miracle Foundation has impacted 15,000+ children’s lives.

Their latest project is FosterShare™ a phone and desktop app that prevents foster children from bouncing from home to home, decreases the drop-out rate of foster parents, and brings greater stability to the foster care ecosystem.
