Li Yuchun (AKA Chris Lee), is a Chinese pop singer, songwriter, and actress. She catapulted to stardom in 2005 as the first-ever super idol in China by polling more than 3.5 million votes via cell phone text messages at the finals of the singing competition “Super Girl”. Her victory was celebrated nationwide and even featured on the cover of Time Magazine, which coined her sensational rise the “Li Yuchun Phenomenon.” In 2010, with 10,175,595 searches, she became the most searched name on Baidu from 2005 to 2010.
As a pop culture icon in China, Li Yuchun has been honored with over 260 music awards at home and abroad. Her influence extends beyond music, with notable achievements in film, art, and fashion - she is the first-ever Chinese judge of the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Awards, ambassador for the Fashion Awards by the British Fashion Council (BFC) Foundation, and a member of the tenth committee of the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) etc.
In addition to her remarkable professional accomplishments, Li Yuchun is a dedicated philanthropist who has contributed to public welfare over the years. She’s been instrumental in the establishment and success of the “LIYUCHUN Fans Charity Fund,” which has raised over 31 million Chinese yuan for various charitable causes. Through multifaceted initiatives, including aiding seriously ill children, providing rehabilitation training for hearing-impaired youth and fine art education for children in rural areas, as well as coordinating rescue and reconstruction efforts during major disasters and public health crises, the foundation has benefited nearly 150,000 people to date. Meanwhile, Li Yuchun has collaborated with World Wildlife Fund (WWF), International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other international NGOs to support environmental protection, wildlife conservation, and sustainable development, a testament to her passion for creating a better world for all.
Dr. Zhizhong Li is a co-founder and Secretary General of the Shiyu Children Foundation (SCF). An NGO set up in 2018, SCF is dedicated to promoting awareness, patient education, and drug discovery for pediatric cancers in China. It is the first one focusing on solving children's cancer healthcare issues. Dr. Li has an impressive academic background with a BS in life science from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Duke University before joining Novartis as a research investigator in the department of Oncology Drug Discovery. He published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles, including a cover story on the prestigious Cancer Cell. His work is one of the highest cited papers in the cancer stem cell field and has been cited globally over 7700 times - ranking top 2%. He deeply cares about how science can impact everyone's life. He has demonstrated a strong dedication to sharing knowledge with the broader public by promoting science, especially cancer knowledge in China. He is a best-selling author with six books on cancer biology and oncology drug discovery. His books have won many prestigious awards in China, including Best 30 Books in China and Best Pop Science Book in China. His blog has over 1,000,000 followers, including cancer patients/families and healthcare professionals. Even several China Academy of Science members regularly read his article, and they are amazed by Zhizhongs ability to translate complex biomedical issues to lay language.
Chen Li has taken roles in Gotion High-Tech since 2014, including Director of Silicon Valley R&D Center, CEO of Gotion US, Director of Global R&D Centers, VP of Engineering R&D Institute, and now SVP and President of Gotion Global. He is a member of the CPPCC of Baohe District in Hefei City. Before Gotion, he worked with think tanks Bridging Nations Foundation and Worldwatch Institute in Washington, DC. He holds a BS from Purdue University and MPA from Columbia University.
Torsten Lichtenau is a partner based in our London office. He leads our Carbon Transition Impact Area globally and is a core member of our global Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, Energy and Natural Resources, and Advanced Manufacturing and Services practices.
Torsten supports clients across industries and geographies in decarbonizing their business and embracing the value creation opportunity from the energy and carbon transition. Prior to this, Torsten led our Energy and Natural Resources and Advanced Manufacturing and Services practices in the UK.

Over the course of his career, he has accumulated extensive experience in leading large-scale transformations with a track record of delivering decisive and sustainable results for his clients. Torsten has a particular expertise in climate change and Results Delivery, our differentiated approach to change management.
Since joining us in 2004, Torsten has applied his management consulting skills globally and has been based in the firm's London, Dusseldorf and Johannesburg offices. He has advised leading companies in the United Kingdom, Western Europe, the United States, Africa and Russia.
Torsten is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader from the class of 2016. He holds an MBA (Diplom-Kaufmann degree) from the University of the Saarland and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from WHU Koblenz. Throughout the years, he has also deepened his leadership and sustainability skills through executive courses at Oxford and Stanford..
Jacob Lief is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Ubuntu Education Fund, a non-profit organization that takes vulnerable children in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, from cradle to career. Ubuntu's programmes form an integrated system of medical, health, educational and social services, ensuring that a child who is either orphaned or vulnerable could, after several years, succeed in the world of higher education and employment. Ubuntu's child-centred approach highlights the difference between merely touching a child's life versus fundamentally changing it. In 2009, Lief was selected as an Aspen Institute Global Fellow. In 2012, he was asked to join the Clinton Global Initiative Advisory Committee. Later that year, he was named one of the world's 101 most innovative visionaries at the Decide Now Act Summit. Lief holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Jia Li is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford’s School of Medicine. She also serves as an advisor to the UNICEF. She co-founded DawnLight Technologies and served as the founding CEO. She was the Head of R&D at Google Cloud AI. Her org at Google focuses on both research and innovation to solve real world problems and develop the full stack of AI products on Google Cloud to power solutions for diverse industries. Before joining Google, she was the Head of Research at Snap, leading the research innovation effort. Before Snap, she led the Visual Computing and Learning Group at Yahoo! Labs. Jia received her Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department at Stanford University. She is serving as the Associate Editor of the Visual Computer: International Journal of Computer Graphics by Springer and the Computer Vision Foundation Industrial Advisory Board Member. She served as the Program Chair of the ACM Multimedia Conference 2017, Area Chair for ICCV 2017, Industry Relationship Chair in CVPR 2016 and Volunteers Chair in CVPR 2010 in the past. In 2014, she was selected to receive the Super Star award at Yahoo!, the highest award at the company. She was also awarded the Master Inventor Award for her innovations in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Vision, E-Commerce, Product Recommendation and Image Search. She was the leader of the OPTIMOL team, which won the first prize in the Semantic Robotics Vision Challenge sponsored by NSF and AAAI in 2007.

They are also building one of the leading and profitable tech enabled ecosystems in SEA including Electric Vehicle, logistic, supply chain, and commerce infrastructure.
Veronika is also a co-founder of one of the largest Human Capital development companies in Indonesia (Qerja.com, Jobs. Id, Karir. Com, Linardi Associates, Kelas.com). Qerja is Indonesia’s first online community for empowering professionals on making the right decisions for their careers by creating a platform for professionals to share knowledge, salary and experiences. Qerja introduces transparency to an otherwise opaque working environment.
Henrik Lind is an ambitious entrepreneur, pioneer and philanthropist. He is an inspiring leader and a front-runner who takes and gives responsibility.
Henrik is the founder, owner and CEO of Lind Invest, a single-family office, with a portfolio consisting of different investment activities. Furthermore, he is founder and owner of several other companies, and he serves on a number of boards. He has extensive experience with general management, business strategy, financial markets, and business development.
Accordingly, Henrik engages in social projects and he wants to play an active role in society and make a difference for vulnerable people. He grew firm in his belief that while limited by conditions or resources, restricted by contexts or means, everyone has a potential to unfold, improve and develop. And what matters is not a person’s starting point; what matters is the facilitation of opportunities, genuine support and constantly challenging the status quo. Carol Li Rafferty
Carol Li Rafferty is the Managing Director of Yale Center Beijing and a Co-Founder of Lean In China. She previously worked for the China Investment Corporation (CIC), the country’s sovereign wealth fund, as Senior Vice President, responsible for strategic and private equity investments. Carol graduated cum laude from Yale University, with dual B.A. degrees in Economics and International Studies. She received her J.D. degree from Stanford Law School. She is also a China Fellow of the Aspen Institute, and a member of the Board of Trustee at Keystone Academy, a non-profit K-12 school in Beijing, China. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Carol is a member of the founding family of the Bank of East Asia. She is currently a member of the Hong Kong government’s Financial Services Development Council's Working Group on the Asia Institute of Finance, and a member of the Hong Kong X-Tech Startup Platform Advisory Committee.

Gary Liu is CEO of the South China Morning Post, a global news media company that has reported on China and Asia for more than a century. Gary is also the Chairman of the WAN-IFRA Asia Pacific Committee, and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2019. Prior to joining the SCMP in January 2017, Gary was CEO of Digg, spearheading the New York startup’s transformation from aggregator to a data-driven news platform. Previously, Gary was Head of Labs at Spotify, after joining the company as Global Director of Ad Product Strategy. Gary has also worked at AOL and Google.
Ida Liu is the Global Head of Citi Private Bank and a member of the Global Wealth Management Leadership team. Ida leads the Private Banking activities in 50 offices across 18 countries and delivers wealth management solutions to ultra-high net worth families and their businesses globally. Before becoming the Global Head, she was the Head of Citi Private Bank North America and held numerous other leadership roles.
Ida created Citi Private Bank’s North America Asian Clients Group, and she started her career at Citi by launching and heading the Fashion, Retail and Entertainment Group. Before joining Citi, Ida was at Vivienne Tam, a women’s wear design house, where she was Global Head of Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and Business Development. Prior to this, Ida spent seven years in investment banking with Merrill Lynch’s mergers and acquisitions and technology, media and telecommunications investment banking groups in New York and Hong Kong. She started her career in mergers and acquisitions at BT Wolfensohn (now Deutsche Bank).
Ida has received many industry accolades including Barron’s 10 Most Influential Women in Wealth Management, Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance, Crain’s Notable Women on Wall Street and American Banker’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance. Additionally, Ida is a Young Global Leader (YGL)
of the World Economic Forum, a member of The Committee of 100 (C100) and Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Ida serves on the UCLA Health Advisory Board as well as the Asia Society Board.
Ida holds a BA with honors from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and conversant in Russian.
