Joseph P. Kennedy III

Joe is a member of the United States House of Representatives representing the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked as a state prosecutor in Massachusetts, served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic and worked as a research assistant for the UN Millennium Development Goals Secretariat in New York. Joe holds a bachelors degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a law degree from Harvard. He is married to Lauren Kennedy, a health policy expert, and together they have two young children.

Teresa K. Kennedy

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Power Living Enterprises, USA

Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Power Living Enterprises, training people in a conscious approach to wellness and success. She has produced hundreds of virtual/in-person mindfulness-based programmes with organizations such as Bloomberg Media and National Institutes of Health. She is also co-founder of Inner Dignity, a nonprofit using arts and media to empower and build mental resilience within the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) community. An advocate for human potential, she led the Young PWR Brokers, teaching self-esteem skills to girls; founded the Ta Yoga House, first yoga studio in Harlem, NY; and was biographer for yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch, co-authoring two award-winning books and curating 66 one-of-a-kind events in 10 countries including the United Nations and World Government Summit in Dubai. She is a National Spokesperson for the American Heart Association and created Elder Dignity to transform views on aging and reform the adult guardianship system in the U.S. She produced the social impact video, The Deception of Protection (2019), moderated the #FreeBritney Symposium, and advised the #FreePeterMax campaign. She testified at the New York Senate Guardianship Roundtable Public Hearing and spoke at the Florida Senate Judiciary Committee, among other forums. Early career, she founded VH1 Interactive and VH1@Work Radio and was Vice-President of Business Development & Operations for MTV Networks where she managed a 200-person operation and launched six digital cable networks. At 20 years old, Kennedy consulted with Fortune 500 companies and wrote case studies at Harvard Business School. She has been in media, including CNN and Oprah's book Live Your Best Life! Kennedy has a dual BA in Sociology and Studio Art from Wellesley College, an MBA from Harvard, a PhD in World Religions, and executive education in Global Leadership and Public Policy. An American, she was born in Ghana, started school in Australia and studied design in Italy.

Kennedy Odede

President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO), Kenya

Kennedy Odede is founder of Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO). He is a former street child who lived most of his life in Kibera, Africa’s largest slum, founded SHOFCO with savings from his $1 per day factory job. SHOFCO’s programs have currently served over 219,000 individuals as of 2017. The organization is scaling across Kenya’s slums with a model that links free schools for girls to holistic community services for all. SHOFCO is currently in six slums this includes Kibera and Mathare. In 2018 SHOFCO became the winners of the Hilton Humanitarian Prize, this making it the first grassroots organisation to receive such an esteemed award. Kennedy was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur, and has won the Mohammed Ali Humanitarian Award. The New York Times, CNN, and Project Syndicate are some of the Media Houses who’ve published his opinion articles on urban poverty. His work has been featured by President Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and on five occasions by Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times, including Kristof’s book and documentary. Although he was informally educated, Kennedy received a full scholarship to Wesleyan University, where he currently serves on the board of trustees.

Nicole Schwab

Master’s in Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School; MA in Natural Sciences, Cambridge University. Formerly, worked on health sector reform projects in Latin America, World Bank and the Ministry of Health of Bolivia. 2004-06, Founding Director, Forum of Young Global Leaders. 2009-2018 Co-Founder and President, EDGE Certified Foundation, a global scheme certifying organizations for closing the gender gap in the workplace. Facilitator and Strategic Advisor to non-profit organizations active in reforestation, wellbeing and women’s empowerment. Author of The Heart of the Labyrinth, a spiritual parable offering a message of Earth-centered wisdom.
