Yanqing (Kenny) Cai

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, BottleDream, People's Republic of China

Yanqing (Kenny) Cai is Co-Founder and CEO of BottleDream. In 2012, he quit his job as an UX designer and travelled the world for 18 months, documenting the stories of young people from more than 20 countries who were changing the world. That experience helped shape his vision for BottleDream, now one of China’s top social innovation platforms. He has inspired more than 150,000 Chinese young people to care about social innovation and sustainable development. He is now building a co-creation community with DAO spirit which dedicates to incubate social innovation actions and projects.

Claire Cormier Thielke

Country Head, Greater China, Hines Asia Pacific, People's Republic of China

Claire Cormier Thielke is the Country Head of Hines Greater China, one of the country’s largest international real estate developers. Prior to her current role, she served as Chief Operating Officer of Investment Management for Hines, overseeing new product development and global fund operations for the firm's 39 investment vehicles active across 24 geographies. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Zillow Group, the world's largest online real estate marketplace, and is a member of the Aspen Institute’s Society of Fellows. Ms. Cormier Thielke earned her undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, MA in Construction Management and a Degree of Engineer from Stanford University. She is member of Stanford University’s adjunct faculty, teaching on the intersection of technology, institutional investment and real assets. She has also written numerous scholarly contributions on green building, city planning, adaptive reuse and urban revitalization.

Billy Wai-Lung Ng

Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China

Wai-Lung (Billy) Ng is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he leads the Laboratory of Chemical Biology & Drug Discovery. He has successfully used cutting-edge technologies to develop therapeutic molecules for combating viral pandemics and aging-related diseases. Professor Ng and his international team were the first to discover that an approved HCV drug can be repurposed for the treatment of COVID-19. He is currently creating disruptive therapeutic molecules with the ultimate goal to eradicate cancers and neurodegenerative diseases. Professor Ng completed his post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School and the University of Oxford after receiving his Ph.D. and B.Sc. in Chemistry from CUHK. He was also a Fulbright Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during his graduate study. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Marie Curie Fellowship, Croucher Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship, and Hong Kong PhD Fellowship.

Zou Shasha

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, AHA Entertainment, People's Republic of China

Zou Shasha, the chairman and CEO of AHA Entertainment, the producer of animation series SCISSOR SEVEN, the industrial tutor for the master degree of the animation major in Communication University of China(CUC), the President of the International Animation Alliance of Greater Bay Area, nominated for Young Innovative Talents Project of National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry by National Radio and Television Administration of China, the co-founder of AniSpark Studio, partner of Anim-Babblers.

Since the founding of AHA Entertainment in 2014, she produced feature films LAST LETTER, DINGJUN MOUNTAIN, TV series THE 38th PARALLEL, animated series SCISSOR SEVER, and SCISSOR SEVEN mobile games. SCISSOR SEVEN has been broadcasted in over 190 countries around the world, it was the first-ever Netflix Original animation series produced in China, she has also facilitated in the international distribution of many other Chinese contents such as animation film LEGEND OF HEI, by actively promoting Chinese original contents on global stage, she is committed to building the bridge for cross-cultural communication and integration.

Yichen Shen

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lightelligence, People's Republic of China

Shen Yichen is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lightelligence, the world's first and leading optical computing company. Before founding Lightelligence, he was a scientist and engineer by training. He received his PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BSc in in Mathematics and Physics from Johns Hopkins University. During his doctoral period, he filed 10 US patents and published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal papers in Science, Nature Photonics, ICML and other top journals. In 2017, Yichen published a cover article on Nature Photonics, which for the first time proposed a theory to use light to perform AI algorithms. With this breakthrough, he was included on MIT Technology Review’s list of 35 Technology Innovators Under 35.

Shen Peng

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Shuidi Company, People's Republic of China

In 2016, Shen Peng founded Waterdrop, a leading technology platform dedicated to insurance and healthcare service with a positive social impact. He pioneered the business model of "Medical fundraising + Health insurance + Healthcare Services", helping 2.4 million families to raise 48 billion RMB medical funding, and providing high-quality and inclusive insurance services to 110 million users. Waterdrop Company is successively winner of "Advanced Company in Covid 19 Response" by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and "Advanced Organization of Beijing Poverty Alleviation Cooperation" by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipal People's Government.

He’s a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience and expertise in the technology and internet sectors in China. Prior, he co-founded Meituan Waimai and served as business head of it. Listed on “2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia”, “2021 Fortune 40 Under 40 China”. Winner of “40 people in 40 years for China's insurance “Special tribute Award. Winner of “Advanced individual in Covid 19 response”by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Democratic National Construction Committee. Winner of “Advanced individual in Poverty Alleviation” by the Democratic National Construction Association. Winner of “ACES 2021 Young Entrepreneur of the Year”. Member of the "Young Entrepreneur Committee” of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Visiting professor of Business School of China University of Political Science and Law. Winner of "2021 Outstanding Contribution Award" from the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.

Christy Lei Sun

Chief Marketing Officer, Yatsen Global, People's Republic of China

Christy is dedicated to developing Chinese leading cosmetic brand -Perfect Diary and luxury skincare business, managing marketing and public relationships. She is committed to exploring C-beauty and empowering women in China and around the world to discover, create and preserve beauty. Christy was awarded “CMO Power List TOP 50”, and she holds a bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University and MBA from Yale University.

Sun Xuemei

Chairperson, Beijing All in One Public Welfare Foundation, People's Republic of China

Xuemei SUN, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IFENG.com, Initiator of "Girls protection" and Chairman of Beijing All-in-One Public Welfare Foundation, is a long-devoted pioneer in Chinese child protection development area. Prior to her current roles, she served as a journalist for the Beijing Times, and Editor-in-chief of the philanthropy channel of IFENG.com. On June 1, 2013, she united 100 female journalists and several media organizations to launch a public welfare project “Girls Protection”, which upgraded to a special fund in 2015. In 2018, she further developed the "Girls Protection" team into the Beijing All-In-One Public Welfare Foundation, with a firm long-term commitment to preventing sexual assaults against children and adolescents, spreading sex education knowledge, promoting the dissemination of gender equality concepts, and ultimately improving Chinese legal systems and institutions on child protection.

By the end of March 2022, more than 10,000 volunteer lecturers had passed the assessment of "Girls Protection" in 31 provinces across the country, more than 6.1 million children 700,000 parents had been taught face-to-face anti sexual assault courses, online courses cover tens of millions of people. In 2018, based on “Girls Protection”, the Foundation launched new sex education course "Embrace Adolescence" for adolescents, which was taught face to face to around 150,000 teenagers by the end of March 2022.

For 9 consecutive years, she organized and held a symposium of Representative members of the National People's Congress and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference (NPC & CPPCC) of the "girls protection" and issued the investigation report on sexual assault case statistics and anti sexual assault education to promote the improvement of laws and systems.

Luhui Yan

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Carbonstop, People's Republic of China

Luhui Yan, Founder and CEO of Carbonstop, Master of Science in Computer Science at Oxford University, Expert Reviewer of the UNIPCC, Representative of China at UNFCCC Climate Change Conference for eight consecutive years, Deputy Secretary General of China Low Carbon Economic Committee. As China’s first carbon management software and consulting service provider, Carbonstop was founded in March 2011 by Luhui Yan. In the past ten years, leading Carbonstop, Mr. Yan has provided carbon management software and consulting solutions for over 1,000 enterprises and organizations, including 100 Fortune global 500 companies and top global organizations, such as Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, JD, KFC, Zara, Chanel, SKP, Vanke, Starbucks, ByteDance, Meituan, Hillhouse, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China Coal, etc. In the Internet field, Luhui Yan led the project “Green Packaging and Logistics” and “Ant Forest” for Alibaba.

Boju Zhang

Secretary General, Ginkgo Foundation, People's Republic of China

Boju Zhang is secretary general of Ginkgo Foundation, who invests in young social entrepreneurs in China, helping them achieve great personal and career breakthroughs.
He is also a board member and Former CEO of Friends of Nature (FON) , the first green NGO in China, work to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water and safe food. He develops and carries out strategies for FON programs on Environmental Public Interest Litigation, Policy Advocacy, Information Disclosure and Public Participation.

In recent 8 years, Boju and FON Team have filed 50 environmental public interest lawsuits, to protect biodiversity and human health, and promote renewable energy and combat climate change. Among them, the public interest litigation case of protecting Green Peacock was elected as the top 10 biodiversity protection cases in the world at the world environmental justice conference in 2021.

In recent years, Boju has found seven non-profit organizations and social enterprises in China, such as China Zero Waste Alliance which is the nationwide action network on solid waste management, and Gaia Nature School which is the leading social enterprise on environmental education.

Boju is the board member of the Environmental Public Relations and Strategic Communications Institute of China Environment Protection Ministry. He was the youth advisor for United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP).

Boju graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He won the Ray Dalio Scholarship and pursued Executive Leaders in Philanthropy program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Daniel Zhang Xianming

Vice President, Broad Group, People's Republic of China

Daniel Zhang Xianming is Vice President at Broad Group, and is responsible for corporate social responsibility at the Broad Group. He is also the Co-Founder of Eco-community P8 and Incubator Bluesky Lab. With his productions of a series of viral internet videos, Zhang introduced the world's fastest, largest and tallest steel modular housing constructions, with a focus on sustainability. He trained as an architect at Carnegie Mellon University and pursued doctorates in India and Germany.

Jinxing Zheng

Division Head, Professor, Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, People's Republic of China

Zheng Jinxing is a professor and Head of Department at Institute of Plasma Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he has devised better ways to model the use of powerful superconducting magnets for controlling plasma at extreme temperatures, which is a major advance for fusion-based energy. He has presided over China’s National Key R&D Programme, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other projects. He involves in the research work of China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR) project, which is the world’s largest fusion experiment project-International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), The Facility for Laboratory Reconnection Experiments (FLARE) in USA and Nuclotron-based Ion Collider Facility (NICA) in Russia and so on. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Tooling Branch of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Member of the Electrical Theory and New Technology Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, and The Transnational Committee (TNC) Member of IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Science Society. Zheng has won various awards in technology innovation (such as MIT TR35 Global 2021) and has published more than 60 SCI/EI papers and authorized more than 30 invention patents.
