Chad Hurley

Founder, AVOS, USA

Chad Hurley is the Founder, AVOS Systems, USA. Formerly, he was the Chief Executive Officer of YouTube, the world's largest video sharing website. Co-founded in 2005 with Steve Chen, its strategy is to keep the process of watching and sharing video effortless. Hurley's responsibilities include oversight of business development, marketing and operations. He created the clean, simple interface that lets the community interact and share videos. YouTube serves hundreds of millions of videos daily and created a new market for discovering, sharing and distributing videos around the globe. YouTube was awarded Best Invention of the Year by Time, and the first website named Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Weekly. Hurley and Chen have received many honours, including 2007 Webby Person of the Year, Time's Most Influential People of 2007, Business 2.0's 50 Most Influential People, GQ's Men of the Year and Fortune's Most Powerful People in Business. Earlier, Hurley was the first user-interface designer at PayPal, with a fundamental role in early development of the service. Following its acquisition by eBay, Hurley consulted for several technology companies. He has a BA in Fine Art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Forsan Hussein

Chief Executive Officer, F8 Capital, USA

Forsan Hussein is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner F8 Capital, a special situations investment fund focused on frontier markets and investing in technology companies serving Africa, the Arab World, and Israel. Forsan currently chairs Hasoub Angels, an angel investment club supporting Palestinian tech entrepreneurs. Forsan founded and managed Zaitoun Ventures--a values-driven startup factory with a diversified portfolio of technology companies in USA, Shanghai, Israel and Palestine. Forsan previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Jerusalem International Y and the Three Arches Company. After business school, he worked as an investment consultant for Capital Group Companies in Los Angeles. As a business and social entrepreneur, Forsan has created several international organizations and initiatives that promote Middle East peace and foster regional cooperation. Forsan is a Kauffman Fellow (class 19), a Member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network of the Aspen Institute, and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. Forsan holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, M.A. from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kamel A. Husseini

Chief Strategic Engagements and Investor Relations Officer, Bank of Palestine, Palestinian Territories

Mr. Husseini is currently Chief Strategic Engagements & Relations Officer at the Bank of Palestine (BoP) www.bankofpalestine.com; the largest National Bank operating in Palestine, with 74 local branches in the West Bank and Gaza; and international representative offices in Dubai, UAE with intent to expand further in the region: Levant, GCC, North Africa.
Mr. Husseini was the Managing Director for the Portland Trust in Ramallah, Palestine, a UK based Action Tank working on Economic Development. At the Portland Trust he helped implement a main initiative for creating growth in jobs and GDP assisted by Mckinsey Worldwide, in addition to a Spatial Economic Vision for Gaza 2050 as part of a Global Palestine Vision with AECOM (July 2013-January 2016).
Mr. Husseini is also the founder of Ellam Tam. The company was established on January 1st, 2000, as the first Communications and Public Relations Company in Palestine. Mr. Husseini was Head of International Relations and Private Sector Development at Orient House (1991-1998), the headquarters of the Palestinian team to Middle East Peace Process in Jerusalem. His duties also focused on attracting funds and investments towards East Jerusalem Projects in addition to managing international relations for the Palestinian Team to the Middle East Peace Process.
Mr. Husseini was with the former Arthur Andersen MENA as an Economic Financial consultant for 3 years (1997-2000), working on a dedicated basis as Business Advisor for the Bethlehem 2000 Project. In April 2006 Mr. Husseini was the first CEO for the first Palestine Investment Conference to be held in Bethlehem. His previous career positions (2006-2010) also included; VP for Corporate, Investors and International Affairs for the Paltel Group.
Mr. Husseini received a BA/BS Degree in Finance and International Relations in 1988, and MBA Degree in International Business in 1990 from the American University in Washington D.C., U.S.A. He has attended the Global Leadership Executive Education Program at the Harvard Kennedy School in Boston Spring of 2011 and the Lee Quan Yu school of public Policy in Singapore in 2012. He is a YGL alumni 2007 and was the founder curator of the Ramallah Hub for the Global Shapers Community in Palestine, a community of the World Economic Forum.

Rebeca Hwang Eun Young

General Partner, Kalei Ventures, USA

Prior to co-founding Rivet Ventures, co-founded YouNoodle, Cleantech Open, and Startup Malaysia. Educated at MIT and Stanford and has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and as one of the top 35 under 35 Global Innovators by MIT Tech Review. Serves on the Global Board of Kauffman's GEW and lectures on technology entrepreneurship at Stanford University. Has worked closely with several countries on their national start-up programmes, including Malaysia, South Korea, Spain, Iceland, Chile and Mexico. Member of the Board of Advisers of the Mexico-U.S. Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council. Recently listed by Forbes as one of their 20 inspiring young women founders to follow on Twitter; frequent speaker at global conferences on entrepreneurship.

Lila Ibrahim

Chief Operating Officer, DeepMind, United Kingdom

Lila Ibrahim is the COO of Google DeepMind, a world leading AI research company that aims to solve intelligence to advance science and benefit humanity. She leads a broad range of functions, including Operations, Governance and Ethics, Policy, Communications, and People & Culture. She plays a key role spearheading the company’s work on critical issues involving the intersection of AI and society, which includes chairing DeepMind’s cross-functional responsibility and AI for Good initiatives.

Caroline Blanch Israel

Managing Director and Partner, Boston Consulting Group, USA

Caroline Blanch Israel is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group. As a leader within the firm’s Consumer Practice, she works with some of the world’s leading consumer goods companies and retailers, specializing in the role of e-commerce, data and analytics to transform how people transact, work and live. Caroline is a deep believer in the power of technology and data to drive change and our collective responsibility to harness these for social and economic good. Outside of her work in digital and retail, Caroline chairs the People functions for BCG Australia & New Zealand and champions Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for BCG Asia Pacific, working to further representation, affiliation and community engagement including LGBTQIA+, cultural diversity and disability inclusion. She has been recognized as an INvolve HERoes Role Model for future women leaders in business. Caroline holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Law degree from the University of Melbourne, where she was awarded the law school’s highest honour, the Supreme Court Prize.

Lisa Ivers

Partner and Managing Director, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), USA

Lisa Ivers is a core member of the Global Advantage practice at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and the Leader of its Morocco office. She a joined BCG in 2006. Her work is focused on developing the firm’s public- and private-sector business in Morocco. She has acquired deep expertise in the areas of strategy and reform. Beyond Morocco, Lisa is a deeply committed contributor to BCG's development on the African continent. She has also been selected as a WEF Young Global Leader. Prior to joining BCG, she was a strategic analyst with BNP Paribas. She graduated from HEC Paris.

Daisuke Iwase

Chief Executive Officer, Japan, Animoca Brands Japan, Japan

Daisuke Iwase is the CEO of Animoca Brands KK, a strategic subsidiary in Japan of Animoca Brands Corporation Limited, a leading global Web3 company based in Hong Kong. Daisuke is also the founder of KLKTN Limited (Head office: HK), one of the companies in Animoca Brands’ portfolio and Managing Partner of Spiral Capital (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo). Prior to that, he was group chief digital officer for AIA Group and served on its Group Executive Committee. Before AIA, he co-founded and served as representative director and president of Lifenet Insurance Company, a publicly listed digital life insurance company in Japan. Daisuke graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School and was named as Young Global Leaders 2010 by the World Economic Forum. Daisuke passed Japan’s national bar exam prior to graduating from the University of Tokyo but pursues career in business starting at Boston Consulting Group, Ripplewood Japan.

Mitsuru Izumo

President, euglena Co. Ltd, Japan

Mitsuru Izumo is Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Euglena, a venture capital company spun off from a research laboratory at the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture. In December 2005, Euglena became the first and only company in the world to successfully mass culture euglena, a microscopic organism, in outdoor conditions. Previously, he worked for the Bank of Tokyo Mistubishi. Izumo graduated from the University of Tokyo's Agricultural and Life Sciences Department.

Alice Jacobs

CEO, Convergence Group, USA

Alice Jacobs is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IntelligentMD, a molecular diagnostics company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts that develops and manufactures tests for rapid, precise, clinically impactful detection of infectious diseases. After losing a patient to a healthcare-associated infection during her medical training, Jacobs founded IntelligentMD to leverage discoveries made in life sciences to improve efficiency in healthcare delivery, increase the confidence of clinicians in treatment and reduce the cost of care worldwide. Since founding the company, Jacobs has assembled a team of visionary leaders dedicated to her vision of integrating next generation solutions into current healthcare practices. In 2004, Scientific American named her as one of the top 50 innovators in science and technology. She serves as a Member of the Whitehead Board of Associates. She holds a BSc in Biological Sciences as well as a BA in Art History from Stanford University. Jacobs earned her MD from Harvard Medical School.
