Boris Nikolic

Avital Saskia Niño de Rivera Cover

Co-Founder and Spokeswoman, Reinserta -Un Mexico A.C-, Mexico

Saskia is a Mexican-American national. She has a Master’s in Human Rights and Fundamental Principles and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is the President of the non-profit organization Reinserta, which she founded when she was 24 years old, in order to fight for a safer Mexico through its penitentiary system. Previously, she worked at the National Anti-Kidnap Coordination of the Mexican Secretariat of Government. In 2015, she led the creation of the “maternity in prison” section of the Criminal Execution Law, and was invited to create and work for the Social Responsibility Agenda 2015-2016. In 2014, Saskia participated in a number of workshops for the Mexican criminal system reform. Saskia was selected as a Mexican leader of the women’ s first generation of Raising Talent Women’ s Forum and as one of the 3,000 Ashoka Fellows. She was nominated for the Nelson Mandela – Graça Machel Innovation Awards 2016 and was named “Next Generation Leader” by Time Magazine. She was awarded with the UBS Visionaries 2016 prize, is recognized by Global Shapers and Women’ s Forum Rising Talent México, and is a Vital Voices Ambassador as of 2016. She received an American School Foundation Leadership award in 2006, was named an Ashoka Fellow in 2015, was named a Next Generation Leaders by TIME Magazine in 2015, and was selected by FORBES Magazine in 2016 as one of the TOP 100 powerful women. Saskia was selected as a 2019 Global Leadership Award Honoree and a VVLead Ambassador. Saskia works within the prisons and the country’s most dangerous neighborhoods in order to change the extremely rough environments that funnel Mexicans into crime.

Tomomi Nishimoto

Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, The IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan

Tomomi Nishimoto is the current Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Royal Chamber Orchestra. She also serves as Visiting Professor at Osaka College of Music. Nishimoto has been designated the first Honorary Ambassador for the city of Hirado and the first International Cultural Ambassador for Osaka. She is the first non-Russian to hold conductorial posts with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia and the Mussorgsky State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and she has been invited as a conductor to approximately thirty countries around the world. Beginning in 2013, Nishimoto has been invited on a yearly basis to the Vatican Music Festival. The following year, she received the Honor of Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra in Vatican, making her the youngest recipient ever of the award. In 2015, she appeared as a Japanese national active on a global basis in television commercials by the Japanese government that promoted Japan overseas for the G7 Summit.

Kohei Nishiyama

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, CUUSOO SYSTEM, Japan

Kohei Nishiyama is a serial entrepreneur and investor in the IT field and a pioneer in crowdfunding, setting up the world' s first prototype in 1997. He is a co-founder of ELEPHANT DESIGN HOLDINGS ltd., a venture investment company focusing on online platform technologies, and founder of CUUSOO SYSTEM co., ltd, an online open innovation platform that aggregates distributed intellectual resources. Kohei's strong interests in innovation, new technology, design and robotics coupled with "thinking-outside-the-box" attitude have lead him to become an expert in the fields of innovation management, new product development and design management. One of his projects, LEGO CUUSOO, a crowdsourcing/crowdfunding site jointly operated with LEGO SYSTEM SA., had its exit to LEGO and is now operated by its official service, LEGO IDEAS. At present, Kohei is applying his knowledge to emerging technologies by building an open innovation platform in the electricity industry.
Prior to ELEPHANT DESIGN HOLDINGS, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he primarily handled new product development projects. Kohei holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo and continues his postdoc research at Copenhagen Business School.
Kohei grew up in South America until 19 and is fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and English.

Wawira Njiru

Founder and Executive Director, Food for Education, Kenya

Wawira is the founder of Food for Education an organisation that is feeding Africa’s future through innovative, cutting-edge technology. Food for Education has created a sustainable model of efficiently providing locally sourced, high quality, nutritious meals to public primary school children. Their scalable, efficient model is creating the first sustainable path to solve the child nutrition crisis for 500 million African children. She is a Ford Foundation Global Fellow, the youngest recipient of the University of South Australia’s alumni award 2017, a 2018 Rainer Arnhold Fellow, a recipient of the Builders of Africa Award 2018 and one of 2018’s Top 40 under 40 women in Kenya. She is also the first recipient of the Global Citizen Youth Leadership Prize 2018 presented by Cisco.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

Minister of Information, Ministry of Information and Media Relations of Ghana, Ghana

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is Minister of Information and Member of Parliament. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, and serves on the Finance and Constitutional Committees of Parliament.

Daniel Noboa Azín

President of Ecuador, Office of the President of Ecuador, Ecuador

Daniel Noboa, the youngest President in the republican history of Ecuador.
The President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa Azín, assumes the leadership of the National Government at the age of 35. He is the youngest president of republican Ecuador and of contemporary Latin America.
He studied Business Administration at New York University's Stern School of Business and has three international master's degrees: Business Administration at the Kellogg School of Management, Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School, and Governance and Political Communication at George Washington University.
His professional experience began at the age of 18 with the creation of several companies, including DNA Entertainment Group, a real estate and logistics company dedicated to event organization. He also worked at Noboa Corporation, becoming the youngest Shipping Director in the company's history.
He was a legislator in the National Assembly. In his first candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic, he was elected on 15 October 2023 with 52.1% of the votes. Ecuadorians elected him to lead a democratic proposal that favors consensus and will concentrate its efforts on protecting dollarisation, reducing unemployment, boosting competitiveness, economic growth, and citizen security.

David Novak

Co-President, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, United Kingdom

Mr. Novak has been with CD&R for 25 years and is a member of the Investment Committee. Based in London, he is responsible for the Firm’s European business and international activities. Mr. Novak has been actively involved in CD&R's investments in B&M Retail, BCA, Belron, BUT, Conforama France, Huntsworth, Kalle Group, Mauser Group, Motor Fuel Group, SIG plc, SOCOTEC, and Westbury Street Holdings, and played a key role in many others. Previously, he worked in the private equity and investment banking divisions of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Novak has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Amherst College.

Faraja Nyalandu

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Shule Direct, Tanzania

Faraja Nyalandu is an award-winning social entrepreneur, committed to promoting systemic change in digital learning in primary and secondary education in Africa. She founded Shule Direct in 2013, a social enterprise that digitises national curriculums and leverages technology and innovative teaching approaches to improve learning outcomes for all children and youth.

Jasandra Nyker

Chief Executive Officer, Nala Renewables, United Kingdom

Most recently, Jasandra Nyker was the Chief Executive Officer of BioTherm Energy, a leading African based renewable energy investment and independent project development platform. Previously, she managed the direct investment portfolio on behalf of a US$ 680 million global energy and clean technology investment fund. Nyker played an integral role in transaction sourcing, due diligence, investment execution and post-investment management. The portfolio included investments in green infrastructure (sugar ethanol, co-generation, wind projects and solar base-load applications), solar technologies, wind turbines, water (desalination, purification) and energy efficiency technologies. Nyker has previously worked in investment banking, strategy consulting and private equity and in multiple regions, including the US, London, Kuwait and Asia. She has an MBA from the London Business School, where she was a Merrill Lynch Scholar, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town.

Victor Ochen

Executive Director, African Youth Initiative Network-Uganda, Uganda

Mr. Victor Ochen is the Founder and Executive Director for African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET). Born in northern Uganda, he spent 21yrs of his childhood as a refugee in the camps, where he survived on one meal-a-day for over 7 years. He grew up amidst violent conflict that displaced over 3 million people, where 60,000+ children were abducted and forcefully recruited as child-soldiers, including his own brother. His organisation has so far provided reconstructive medical repair to over 21,000 war victims of rape, mutilation, gun shots).

Challenged by the hardships of war and poverty, while living in the camps at the age of 13 years, Ochen formed a Peace Club and bravely led the anti-child soldiers’ recruitment campaign amidst the war in northern Uganda. He grew up to become one of the most important figures in Africa, a key reference when it comes to struggle for human rights and justice, a product of resilience, a personification of struggle. He is a lead example on tolerance and nonviolence activism; who is creatively working to address the root cause of conflict in Africa.

Forbes Magazines named Ochen in 2015 as one of the 10 most powerful men in Africa, while Archbishop Desmond Tutu attested that “my heart swells with joy to see Ochen as one of the new hope for Africa”. He is the first Uganda and the youngest ever African nominated for Nobel Peace Prize 2015. Ochen is the YGL and has received several awards including Elyse Treaty in 2016; Pan-Commonwealth Youth Workers 2015, Mundo Negro Award 2016; all recognizing his service to poor people and his inspirational leadership for peace in Africa. He is the UN Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Justice promoting SDG Goal16. Mr. Ochen is a member of the Global Advisory Group to the UNHCR on Gender, Forced Displacement and Protection.
