Roselyne Chambrier

Chief Executive Officer, Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (Arise IIP), Côte d'Ivoire

Roselyne Chambrier is an entrepreneurial, result-driven leader, with an extensive track record in West and Central Africa spanning finance and infrastructure sectors.

Connecting the dots between governments and institutional investors to vet new partnerships and licensing opportunities in large-scale projects, she aims to set new benchmarks building and managing a solid industrial and logistics portfolio, contributing to local economic empowerment, creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs and attracting FDIs.
She was previously Managing Director of the Industrial Bulk Multipurpose Terminal of San Pedro.

She firmly believes that global challenges can be addressed from Africa and is a founding member of A new ROAD (Round-Table on African Debts) the first think tank dedicated to African public debts and financing of economies, calling for the establishment of a Responsibility Pact from governments, large private companies and financial institutions.

She has a passion for education and is the Founder of Sename Foundation, a philanthopic organization. Her vision is to create a transformative path through educative curricula and trainings to empower girls and underserved communities to become thriving success stories of their own.

Abdourahmane Cissé

Bernice Dapaah

Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Bamboo Bikes, Ghana

Bernice Dapaah is an entrepreneur and an industry leader in the non-motorized transport subsector in Ghana where she has pioneered climate-smart mobility technology. She has championed the engineering of specialty bamboo bikes and other bamboo artifacts using locally available resources. Apart from bicycles, she has developed successful prototype of bamboo wheelchair and bamboo litter picker which has attracted the attention of the Paralympic Association and Ministry of Sanitation respectively. With over decade experience in bamboo technology, she has been the recipient of several awards due to her abiding contributions to the field. Bernice is the Chief Executive Officer of Envirotech Bamboo Limited and Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative and an Alumnus of Harvard University and Oxford University's Executive Fellowship programs in leadership. She is also an Alumnus of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders and World Bamboo Ambassador. She holds a Masters degree in Development Management.
The inspiration for the innovation of bamboo bicycles came out of her fascination for the botanical properties of bamboo and learning from other ingenious inventions with bamboo. Her work has train and created employment for youths directly and indirectly and enriched the plantation stock of Ghana through her ambitious effort to tackle the issue of deforestation and ecosystem degradation.

Sangu Delle

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CarePoint, Ghana

Sangu is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of CarePoint, a tech forward healthcare network serving over 1 million patients across 65+ facilities in Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya, with a vision to "build Africa's healthcare future." He is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of Golden Palm Investments Corporation, whose portfolio companies, including Andela, Flutterwave and mPharma, have raised over $1.5 billion in venture financing. Sangu co-founded CleanAcwa, a water and sanitation non-profit that has worked in 160 communities in Ghana impacting over 200,000 people. Sangu serves on several boards of directors and advisory boards including Harvard University's Board of Overseers, the Peddie School, Ashesi University, Ghana International School, Harvard University's Center for African Studies, Harvard Medical School and Oxford University. Sangu graduated with highest honors in African Studies and Economics from Harvard College, a Doctor of Law from Harvard Law School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University and a PhD in Economic Anthropology and African Studies from the University of Birmingham (U.K.). He is the author of "Making Futures: Young Entrepreneurs in a Dynamic Africa." He is a TED Fellow, a Tutu Fellow and an Eisenhower Fellow.

Kuseni Dlamini

Chairman, Massmart Holdings Ltd, South Africa

Kuseni Dlamini is the Chairman of JSE-listed Massmart Ltd, a leading African retail group operating 436 stores in 13 Sub-Saharan countries. He is the Chairman of Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Ltd, the leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the southern hemisphere with operations in over 50 countries. He is the Chairman of The American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa and is a member of the board of the Southern Africa-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Kuseni is the former CEO of Old Mutual South Africa and Emerging Markets. Prior to this he was the Head of Anglo American South Africa, a member of the Executive Committee of Anglo American in London and was the Director of Anglo Platinum.
He is also the former Executive Chairman of Richards Bay Coal Terminal Company (RBCT) Ltd and a former Chairman of Anglo Operations (Pty) Ltd. As part of his career in mining he held a number of senior positions at Anglo Gold Ashanti and De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Kuseni is a graduate of the Universities of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, and Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
In March 2008, he was named a ‘Young Global Leader (YGL)’ by the World Economic Forum and, during the same month, MiningX selected him as one of the top 100 most influential people in South African mining. In June 2008, the Mail & Guardian named him as one of the top 200 young people worth taking to lunch and in the same year and month, The Economist referred to him as “A Rare Commodity’. In 2010, the World Economic Forum appointed him a member of the Global Agenda Council on Economic Growth and Poverty Alleviation. In 2011, he was appointed co-Chairman of the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) Africa Summit which brings together Heads of States, leading politicians and business leaders to debate the state of Africa in a changing world on an annual basis.
Kuseni is active in professional bodies and charities which include the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), Common Purpose and the Advisory Board of GIBS Business School. He is also a member of the Council of the University of Pretoria and former Chairman of the Board of South African National Parks (SANParks).

Chinwe Egwim, Chief Economist at Coronation Merchant Bank, is a trusted voice in macroeconomics, known for her precision in economic projections. Sought after by industry peers, government officials, diplomats, development organizations and the media, she brings notable expertise in producing economic research reports. Egwim has received a LinkedIn Top Economics Voice Badge. As Nigeria's National Focal Point on a UNECA project, she played a pivotal role in efforts on advancing the services trade in Africa. Her status as a prominent economist resonates within Nigeria and the broader African context and is underscored by her appointment to Nigeria’s Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee. Kow Abaka Essuman

Legal Counsel to the President, Office of the President of Ghana, Ghana

Kow Essuman is an international lawyer in every sense, who specializes in corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration. He is currently serving as counsel at the office of the President of Ghana. He is licensed to practice law in England & Wales (2008), New York (2010) and Ghana (2011). He holds a Master of Laws degree with Honors in International Mergers and Acquisitions and Financial Institutions from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York (2009). He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP Law School, London (2008) and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws from University of Westminster, London (2007) and was previously a Global Shaper at the Accra Hub.

Chido Govera

Founder and Director, The Future of Hope Foundation, Zimbabwe

Social entrepreneur. Founder, The Future of Hope Foundation. Pioneer in the conversion of coffee grounds from cafes into mushrooms. Through the foundation, Chido fulfills her commitment to ending poverty, abuse, self-pity, and victimhood at the grassroots level in Africa through food security. The simplified sustainable mushroom farming method provides food security by converting organic residues into food, motivating people at different levels to take on entrepreneurial opportunities in both the developed and developing parts of the world. Katie Hill

Partner and Associate Director, Climate, Boston Consulting Group, Kenya

Katie Hill is an Expert Partner at Boston Consulting Group, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a core member of the Green Ventures team, building and scaling climate-smart companies across Africa. She has spent over 15 years as an investor and operator in high-impact climate and technology companies. Katie specializes in decarbonization strategy and implementation for global companies; renewable energy economics and transactions; sustainable and impact investing; and digital economy and infrastructure.

Prior to joining BCG, Katie launched and led Apple’s Clean Energy Program to decarbonize Apple’s product manufacturing worldwide. Her team enabled 3GW of new clean energy contracted for Apple production in less than 2 years. She also co-led Apple’s issuance of a $1.5 billion green bond. Most recently, Katie was the Global Director for Business Operations at Liquid Intelligent Technologies (formerly Liquid Telecom), a pan-Africa digital infrastructure company. She started her career as a venture investor in emerging markets companies with Acumen, where she launched the energy investing portfolio and made some of the world's first investments in off-grid energy companies. Katie is on the Board of BioLite, an energy technology company, and an angel investor with Chalo Ventures. Katie received her MBA and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. She is a TED Fellow and World Economic Forum "Young Global Leader. Katie has spent over ten years living and working in East Africa and South Asia.
