Rebecca Darwent

Founder, Rebecca Darwent Global, Canada

Rebecca Darwent is an internationally recognized expert in philanthropy and community-led initiatives. Her viral TED Talk, “How to fund real change in your community”, has had over 1 million views, inspiring positive social impact through collaborative approaches. With a diverse background spanning philanthropic advising, consulting and global partnerships, Darwent brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to all endeavours. She has led multimillion-dollar investments in equity, health and education and is currently Senior Advisor to Philanthropy Together, focusing on raising awareness and funding for collaborative funds, specifically those that are community-led. As Co-Founder of the Foundation for Black Communities (FFBC), Darwent spearheaded fundraising, community engagement and advocacy that resulted in a historic $200 million capital transfer to FFBC by the Canadian government. Under her leadership, an additional $25 million was raised for FFBC from private, public and corporate foundation partners. Darwent has served as Director of Global Partnerships at Singularity University, overseeing tech and education programmes across five continents. She also worked as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Children and Youth Services, who was additionally responsible for the Anti-Racism Directorate in the Ontario provincial government. She is a dedicated volunteer, currently serving on the Board of Directors of the FFBC, Forward Global Canada and Laidlaw Foundation. She has been recognized as a Women Leaders for the World Fellow and honoured as a Canadian Millennium Laureate.

Zorigt Dashdorj

Executive Director, Mongolia Development Strategy Institute, Mongolia

Zorigt Dashdorj is Executive Director of Mongolia Development Strategy Institute. He also serves on corporate board of directors of Skytel (telecom and IPTV provider), AIC (copper cathode producer) and Emart Mongolia (retail hypermarket). He has his own Euroasia risk consulting practice.
As the former Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia (2008-2012) and Member of Parliament (2009-2012), he is one of most prominent experts in Mongolia's mining and energy sectors. During his tenure, large copper-gold, coal and other mining and energy projects were signed or initiated, propelling Mongolia to become one of the fastest growing frontier economies. He is a strong backer of renewable energies and with his support international banks invested in the first commercial scale wind farm in Mongolia. Prior to becoming a government minister, Zorigt was the founding chief executive officer of a state-owned mining company Erdenes MGL in charge of strategic mining projects. He worked in public service for 14 years and was director of policy planning in the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Zorigt started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Deputy Director for Strategic Planning and Coordination and First Secretary of Mongolia's Permanent Mission to the United Nations. He has LLD (Doctor of Laws) and LLM from the Kyushu University, Japan, MA in International Relations from the Australian National University and MA in Political Science from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

Patricia Ellen da Silva

Currently Systemiq Managing Partner in Brazil and vó-founder of Aya Coalition. Former Secretary of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Labour of the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Young Global Leader, World Economic Forum, 2016 in recognition of achievements on digital innovation, education and economic development in government. Lectures on Leadership and Digital Innovation at the Master of Public Management Program of the Center for Public Leadership (CLP). MPA, Harvard Kennedy School; MBA, INSEAD. Chief Executive Officer of Optum Brazil until 2018; previously Partner at McKinsey & Company for nearly 18 years. Focused on public sector challenges, led projects in education, health, economic development, with special focus on digital government innovation. Co-Founder of Movimento Agora!, which seeks to modernize public policy provision and management by promoting social engagement, to build a more humane and sustainable country.

Martyn Davies

Head, City Excellence, Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia

Dr Martyn Davies is Executive Advisor at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this position he leads the City Excellence Division and is Head of the Retail Sector at RCRC.

He has over 20 years of business and strategy experience across major industries advising the C-Suite of multinationals and public sector clients. He was formerly a Partner at Deloitte (MD of Emerging Markets & Africa) - the world's largest professional services company - occupying numerous roles across the firm. This included being the co-leader of Deloitte’s Global CEO Program on behalf of Deloitte Africa through which the Firm engages with the CEOs of its leading clients

He has extensive experience across multiple industries including auto, extractives, finance, FMCG, Government, industrial, infrastructure, multilateral organizations and tech & telecoms. He has worked and lived in numerous regions across the globe including Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East

He was Managing Director Emerging Africa & Africa of Deloitte (Africa) as well as a member of the Deloitte Global Economists team active in advising the world’s largest multinationals on macroeconomic trends and interpreting what it means for their strategy. He is a Senior Fellow at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth–a highly eminent group of leading economists working on strategies toward inclusive growth and sustainability.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Martyn was a successful entrepreneur having founded Frontier Advisory, a strategy and corporate finance advisory firm that was acquired by Deloitte in September 2015.

He was appointed in 2021 as an Advisor to the President of Namibia, H.E Hage Geingob and as a member of the President’s 4IR Task Force Advisory Group advising on the adoption of technology to drive sustainability in the country’s resources / industrial structure and wider economy.

He is an alumnus of the Young Global Leaders Community of the World Economic Forum. He has served on numerous advisory groups at the WEF including the Global Agenda Council on China and as an expert adviser to the Mining & Metals Industry Group.

He is a Non-Executive Director of FutureElect, an NGO that trains young people for public service in Africa.

He is a Visiting Professor at IE Business School, Spain, recognized as one of the world’s leading business schools as well as a Professor of Practice in the College of Business and Economics, University of Johannesburg.

Martyn is an elite cyclist and has competed at international level representing his country at the UCI World Cycling Championships.

Eric Dayton

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Askov Finlayson, USA

An apparel, hospitality, and real estate entrepreneur, Eric Dayton started a movement to reimagine the identity of America's north as one of adventure, creativity and the embrace of cold winters. His company is on a mission to keep the north cold by donating 110% of its own carbon impact to organizations leading the fight against climate change. Prior to founding Askov Finlayson, he was a member of Arctic Transect 2004, a six-month, 2,000 mile dogsled expedition focused on climate research and education.

Alberto de Belaunde

Program Adviser, Global Advocacy, OutRight Action International, USA

Alberto de Belaunde (he/him) is the Program Adviser - Global Advocacy at OutRight. He is a lawyer with a master's degree in environmental management and postgraduate studies in public policy. He was the second openly gay congressman in the history of Peru. In 2019, he was awarded the Victory Institute Tammy Baldwin Breakthrough Award for his work on behalf of the LGBT+ community. In 2021 he was part of the Yale World Fellowship. He has published two books, one of them about openly LGBTQ+ authorities in Latin America.

Daniel de Boer

Chief Executive Officer, ProQR Therapeutics N.V., Netherlands

Daniel de Boer is a passionate entrepreneur with a drive to make a meaningful impact on society. Initially, he was focused on building IT companies; however, when his newborn son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disease with a limited life expectancy, it put everything in his life into perspective. de Boer decided to turn his focus towards finding a treatment for his son and other patients suffering from cystic fibrosis. He founded ProQR Therapeutics, which currently has 150 employees across Europe and the United States. Inspired by his work for cystic fibrosis patients and with a goal to impact many more lives, de Boer decided to broaden the scope of ProQR to include developing drugs for several other severe, rare diseases for which no treatments are available.

H.R.H. Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme

Climate Envoy, Netherlands Government, Netherlands

Jaime is the Climate Envoy of the Netherlands. He has an extensive diplomatic career in forging partnerships for innovative solutions to complex global challenges. He was the Senior Advisor on Private Sector Partnerships to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), where he worked on the energy transition in refugee settlements. As the Ambassador of the Netherlands to the Holy See (Vatican), he partnered on peace, climate action and forced migration. As Special Envoy for Natural Resources, he initiated the Responsible Mining Index and set up conflict-free supply chains of metals and minerals in the DRC with the private sector and civil society. He was a member of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Competition, worked in the field as Political Advisor to the Dutch Commander of the NATO Peacekeeping Mission in Afghanistan and helped set up the Netherlands Embassy in Iraq. He has held various other functions in MENA, Africa and Latin America. Born in the Netherlands in 1972, he holds an MA from Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA from Brown University. He is married and has two young daughters. Concurrently he is a Member of the Board of the Forum of Young Global Leaders (WEF).

Alexander de Carvalho

Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer, Public Group International, United Kingdom

Alexander is the Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of PUBLIC, a venture firm he set up to help solve some the biggest technology problems across the public sector. PUBLIC is one of the biggest investors in GovTech companies in Europe across important sectors including Health, Social Care, Security, Policing and Welfare. Alexander is also the Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of The GovTech Summit. Prior to founding PUBLIC, Alexander worked for almost 10 years in private equity before spending several years building and supporting a number startups in the UK. Alexander has been a non-executive member of the board of Heineken Holding NV since 2013 and is involved in a number of philanthropic activities.

Anne-Laure de Chammard

Member of the Group Executive Board and Executive Vice-President, Siemens Energy, Germany

Anne-Laure de Chammard is a member of the Group Executive Board of Siemens Energy. As Group EVP, she heads one of the Group's 4 global divisions, the "Transformation of Industry" global business area, supporting industries throughout their energy transition. She is also responsible transversally for the Asia Pacific and China Regions.

Siemens Energy employs around 91,000 people worldwide in more than 90 countries and generates sales of around €29 billion. The Group is listed on the DAX40 and is one of the world's leading energy technology companies and a global market leader in renewable energy. An estimated one-sixth of the world's electricity is generated using Siemens Energy technologies.

Before joining Siemens Energy, Anne-Laure de Chammard was CEO of ENGIE Energy Solutions International (€4 billion turnover, 20,000 employees, in over 20 countries, in Europe, Americas, Middle East, and Asia Pacific), in charge of decarbonization of industries and territories through energy efficiency services and low-carbon energy production.

Anne-Laure started her career in the USA, as a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
She then joined the French Ministry of Energy and Environment in 2010, where she was leading major infrastructure public private partnership projects (motorways, high-speed railways, hydroelectric dams, offshore wind farms, etc.).
In 2014, she joined Bureau Veritas Group, global leader in conformity services for Industry, Infrastructure and Commodities, as Regional Managing Director, before being promoted President and CEO of Bureau Veritas Construction.
She joined ENGIE in 2019 as Group Chief Strategy, Research & Technology and Innovation Officer to head the group’s strategy in its zero-carbon transition. She was appointed CEO of ENGIE Energy Solutions International in 2021.

Member of the French “Corps des Ponts”, Anne-Laure de Chammard holds Master's degrees of Science and Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique (X) and Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées, and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University (Kennedy School).

Anne-Laure sits in several supervisory boards in France and abroad. She was ranked 2nd top French economic leader under 40 (Figaro-Choiseul 100).

Carlos de Hart

Chief Executive Officer, Agroince, Colombia

Carlos de Hart is Chief Executive Officer of Agroince, a group of agribusinesses. Prior to his appointment, he served as Vice-Minister of Business Development of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia. De Hart has held several executive positions, including Secretary-General of the National Business Association of Colombia, as well as in companies belonging to the agribusiness, consultancy and banking sectors, among others. He is an entrepreneur that has founded companies in real estate, ICT and business process outsourcing (BPO), having been chairman of the board at most of them. He has also been a member of over 50 other boards of directors of public and private institutions within the banking, energy, CSR, education, industry, agriculture, ICT, BPO and healthcare sectors. De Hart received a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de los Andes and an International MBA from IE Business School.
