Delfina Irazusta

Founder and Executive Director, Red de Innovación Local, Argentina

Delfina Irazusta is Founder and Executive Director of the Local Innovation Network, an NGO that works with mayors and other local government officials in Argentina, providing them with the tools and resources they need to improve their management capacities. Irazusta also created the Mayors Language and the Global Map for Local Solutions, two initiatives that promote knowledge management among mayors around the world. With her team, she is working to find new methodologies for the design of public policies in cities. Irazusta is part of the Ashoka network of entrepreneurs and was selected to take part in the first Young Leaders Summit by the Obama Foundation.

Sebastián Kind

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, GREENMAP, Argentina

Undersecretary of Renewable Energy of Argentina (2016-2017), and Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (2018-2019), he was responsible for the country’s energy transition toward a cleaner matrix. Sebastian is the architect and primary driver of the innovative RenovAr program, which has resulted in over US$ 7,4 billion and 5 GW in clean energy investments since its launch in 2016.
Sebastián has 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He is the founding director of the Master of Science in Renewable Energy Program at National Technological University (UTN), and played an instrumental role working with Argentina’s National Senate as author of the Renewable Energy National Law. He has advised on renewable energy projects for many public and private institutions around the world and has held various executive positions in the private sector in Europe and Latin America.
In 2017, Sebastián worked with Harvard University in setting up RenovAr as a Case Study due to its outstanding achievements. In 2018 he was appointed as Chair of the Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and was selected as Fellow of the Eisenhower Foundation (EF) in Philadelphia and as Global Leader of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva in recognition of his accomplishments and commitment to promoting a more peaceful, prosperous and just world. In 2019, he received the Clean Energy Award of the Latin American and Caribbean Council on Renewable Energy (LAC- CORE) and the Climate Breakthrough Project award (an initiative of the Packard Foundation with the support of the Oak, Good Energies, and IKEA Foundations), a 2 Million USD prize for developing GREENMAP (Global Renewable Energy Mass Adoption Program), a breakthrough strategy to help deploying renewables at a global scale. Sebastian has also received in 2019 the LIDE award of the year in recognition to his contribution to the Energy sector.
Sebastián holds a degree in mechanical engineering from UTN in Argentina and earned a MSc. in Renewable Energy from EUREC Agency in Brussels, NTUA in Greece and University of Zaragoza in Spain. He also holds an Executive Development Diploma from IAE Business School and has participated in various executive programs at Harvard University.

Irina Lachowski

Member of the Board, RenovaBR, Brazil

Irina Bullara is former Chief Executive Officer of RenovaBR, an initiative founded by a group of Brazilian entrepreneurs looking to empower and qualify ordinary citizens that wanted to participate in Brazilian politics. Under her leadership, RenovaBR has transformed itself into one of the main political organizations in the country. Each election thousands of Brazilians subscribe to RenovaBR’s to learn about democracy, leadership, public finance, law and marketing. It has graduated more than 3,000 participants from all parties and ideologies, with RenovaBR students being among the most promising politicians in the country. Prior to starting RenovaBR, Bullara was the woman behind the largest private educational learning system (Anglo).

Eduardo Leite

Governor of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Eduardo Leite is 37 years old and is the first re-elected governor in the history of Rio Grande do Sul. He was born in Pelotas, on March 10th, 1985. He was the youngest governor in Brazil during his first term. At the beginning of the 2019-2022 term, he promoted a series of structural reforms to counter the public budget deficit in the state. With an agenda focused on dialogue and on opening up the State to the private initiative, he approved the privatization of state-owned companies, highway concessions, a new Environmental Code and a gradual reduction in taxes. With the result of the reforms carried out, he promoted, through the Avançar program, investments in all areas of the State, totalling BRL 6.5 billion in resources. Mr. Leite was mayor of the municipality Pelotas between 2013 and 2016. Before his term of office, he was municipal secretary, councilor and president of the municipal council. He ended his term as mayor with 87% popular approval in opinion polls. The governor holds a bachelor's degree in Law, he studied Public Policy at Columbia University, in New York, USA, and attained a master's degree in Public Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Ronaldo Lemos

Twenty years of work experience in technology and policy in the private and public sectors. Visiting Professor, Columbia University's School of International Public Affairs (SIPA). Member of the Board, Mozilla Foundation. Founder, Institute for Technology & Society of Rio. Partner with PNM Law, a leading law firm specialized in tech in Brazil. Co-created Brazil’s Internet Bill of Rights Law (2014). Co-created Brazil’s National IoT Plan (2018). Writes weekly for Brazil’s main newspaper (Folha de S. Paulo) and hosts a weekly show on national TV about technology. Winner of Prix Ars Electronica's Golden Nica (2007). Winner of the Sichuan TV Festival Gold Panda (2019) for the documentary "Expresso Futuro" covering technology and innovation in China.

Martin Lousteau

Studies in Economics, Universidad de San Andres; MSc in Economics, London School of Economics. Currently, representative (Buenos Aires) to the National Congress. Formerly, Argentine Ambassador to the US; Minister of Economy and Production, Argentina; 2003-04, Adviser to the Governor of the Banco Central de la Republica Argentina; 2005, Minister of Production, Buenos Aires; 2005-07, President, Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires; 2005-07, President, Grupo Bapro.

Mariana Luz

Chief Executive Officer, Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation, Brazil

Mariana Luz is CEO at Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation. Prior to that, Mariana held the position of President of Embraer Foundation in the US and Embraer Institute in Brazil, as well as Head of Government Affairs, Sustainability and CSR at Embraer. She also worked as a Professor of International Relations at different private universities in Brazil and, between 2003 and 2011, she acted as Institutional Director at the Brazilian Center for International Relations, a major foreign policy think tank in Brazil. In 2015, she was appointed by the World Economic Forum a Young Global Leader; in 2014 she was appointed a Young Leader for the US and Italy International Program; and in 2011 she was part of the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), promoted by the US Department of State. In the past decade, Mariana has integrated boards of directors of various businesses associations and non-profit organizations in Brazil, US and Europe. Her education background is international relations, with a MBA on international diplomacy and Masters of Art on History.

Leandro Machado

Co-Founder and Executive Director, CAUSE, Brazil

Leandro Machado is a Brazilian business and civic entrepreneur. In the last five years, cofounded RAPS, Political Action Network for Sustainability; CAUSE, the first issues advocacy firm in Brazil; #TemMeuVoto, a digital platform that helped more than 1.5 million voters to find their best legislative candidates in Brazil's 2018 election; and AGORA!, a new political movement to regenerate local politics.

His previous background includes leadership positions on Institutional Affairs at corporations like IBM, Shell, and Natura Cosméticos. From 2009 to 2011, acted as Chief of Staff and Public Relations of Guilherme Leal, Natura Cosméticos' co-chairman of the Board, and runnig mate of Marina Silva in the Green Party ticket (2010 Brazilian national elections).

Mr. Machado is a political scientist, with a bachelor degree at Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil, with specialization courses on International Communication at Siracuse University/ABERJE and in political management at George Washington University and executive education at Harvard Kennedy School and at the National University of Singapore.

At CAUSE, RAPS, #TemMeuVoto and AGORA!, Leandro continues to combine his great passion for democracy with the certainty that only through the active participation of all citizens and civil society groups will it be possible to build a freer world.

Alejandro Malgor

VP Operetions Latin America, Xinca, Argentina

Social entrepreneur from Argentina. Pioneer in a new way of doing business.
He co-created Xinca, an eco-friendly footwear company that employs socially vulnerable people.

In 2024 he started a new role as VP-Operations (Latin America) in Young E3 Entrepreneurship Fund. A non-profit organization created by YGL Caroline Berube in 2016. Alejandro will be involved in finding young brilliant entrepreneurial talented individuals in Latin America.

Gabriel Marcolongo

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Incluyeme.com, Argentina

Motivated by his visually impaired father, Gabriel left his successful corporate career to address employment biases against 85 million disabled people in Latin America. He founded Incluyeme.com, an organization with more than 240,000 registered users and 700 companies as clients, including Accenture, IBM, Walmart, Disney, McKinsey, and PWC. Through his work, +3500 people with disabilities found a job.
Gabriel also serves on the board of several NGOs and is a consultant on employment policies for people with disabilities with Development Agencies in Latin America.
Gabriel is a passionate traveler who visited +80 countries on all continents. Gabriel also crossed the Andes mountains, running 120km in a 3-day ultramarathon.

Juan Pablo Mata

Chief Executive Officer, Grupo Mariposa, Guatemala

Juan Pablo Mata is an experienced leader with extensive experience in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in market planning, business planning, entrepreneurship, market analysis, and team leadership. Juan Pablo studied finance & economics at Babson College where he graduated in 2008. In 2015, he completed a MBA at the Wharton School of business in the University of Pennsylvania focused in strategic management. Juan Pablo holds an Executive General Management Program from Harvard University. In 2020 he was appointed CEO of Apex Global Mobility where he leads the corporate units including the total societal impact agenda where he is leading the circular economy and social fabric strategy for the group.

Luiza Mattos

Partner; Head of Healthcare South America, Bain & Company, Brazil

Luiza is a Partner with Bain & Company in São Paulo. As the Leader of the Healthcare practice in South America, she is passionate about developing strategies to deliver quality healthcare solutions under rationalized costs, being a catalyst for a more sustainable system. She has deep expertise in payers, primary care and hospital providers, as well as healthcare ecosystems, authoring points-of-view on how to advance the Brazilian healthcare system. She supports clients to develop deep understanding of their customer’s journeys, in order to deliver unique customer experiences, based on omnichannel approaches, state-of-the art technology and robust metrics. She is an enthusiast of transformations using Agile and Human-Centric co-creation approaches, as Design Thinking. As Womxn @ Bain Champion in South America, she dedicates time to promoting gender parity and developing young female leadership, within Bain as well as in the corporate world, by building studies on how to promote more women in leadership positions. Luiza holds a Master in Management focused on Information Businesses (Coppead Management School, Brazi), and a MBA with major in Finance, Operations and Marketing (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA). She graduated in Electronic & Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
