Pete Buttigieg

U.S. Secretary of Transportation, US Department of Transportation, USA

One of the most visible political figures from the Millennial generation, Pete Buttigieg is mayor of the once-struggling industrial midwestern city of South Bend, Indiana. A winner of the JFK Library Foundation New Frontier Award, he has guided the comeback of his city and works to help peer cities prepare for the future as chair of the US Conference of Mayors Task Force on Automation. An emerging leader in the US Democratic Party and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan.

Ángel Cabrera

President, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), USA

Ángel Cabrera is president of the Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the top public universities in the U.S. and a leading technological university worldwide. Before joining Georgia Tech in 2019, he was president of George Mason University, the largest and fastest-growing public university in Virginia. He was also President of Thunderbird School of Global Management (now part of Arizona State University) and Dean of IE Business School in Madrid.

Cabrera graduated in Telecommunications Engineering (BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering) from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and obtained his MS and PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Georgia Tech, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar.

Cabrera serves on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, National Geographic Society, the Bankinter Foundation of Innovation, and Inovio, a publicly traded biotechnology company.

Cabrera's research in organizational behavior has been cited thousands of times. At Thunderbird, he established the world's first Business Oath of Honor at a business school and, in collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact, led the creation of the Principles for Responsible Management Education, currently endorsed by hundreds of business schools around the world. He is also co-founder of the University Global Coalition, an effort to align global higher education with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Kenny Cai Yanqing

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, BottleDream, People's Republic of China

Yanqing (Kenny) Cai is Co-Founder and CEO of BottleDream. In 2012, he quit his job as an UX designer and travelled the world for 18 months, documenting the stories of young people from more than 20 countries who were changing the world. That experience helped shape his vision for BottleDream, now one of China’s top social innovation platforms. He has inspired more than 150,000 Chinese young people to care about social innovation and sustainable development. He is now building a co-creation community with DAO spirit which dedicates to incubate social innovation actions and projects.

David Wayne Callaway

Chief, Crisis Operations and Sustainability, Atrium Health, USA

Dr. Callaway works at the intersection of health and security, leading multidisciplinary networks to address complex challenges such a human rights, healthcare access, human capital development, and international security. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Chief Crisis Operations and Sustainability at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Callaway has extensive response experience in the Middle East, Africa and Central America. In 2008, David was awarded a Zuckerman Fellowship from the Center for Public Leadership, Harvard Kennedy School of Government to study leadership, national security and disaster response. In 2009, he was awarded a Truman National Security Fellowship. Recently, he completed an Eisenhower Fellowship working in Jordan to address issues of innovation in healthcare during times of crisis. Currently, David also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Team Rubicon (USA), an 85,000 member Veteran- founded disaster response non-profit organization. In this role, he is responsible for the development and execution of international medical response capabilities. His focus is on innovation, hastily- formed networks, and the use of technology to accelerate community service. David's extensive work in health and security recently led to his appointment as a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Kamissa Camara

Senior Adviser, Africa, United States Institute of Peace (USIP), USA

Ambassador Kamissa Camara serves as a Professor of Practice in International Diplomacy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan. In her role, she brings real-world experience to the theoretical underpinnings of international diplomacy studies. Parallel to this, she contributes her expertise as a Senior Africa Advisor at the United States Institute of Peace and as a Non-Resident Scholar at the Middle East Institute.

Ambassador Camara has held strategic roles within the Malian government. She notably served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as Chief of Staff to the President of Mali. These high-profile positions cemented her status as a leading authority on African politics and international relations.

Beyond academia and public service, Ambassador Camara is an influential voice in global media circles and contributes to CNN, Aljazeera and BBC, among others, on African and global politics. Ambassador Camara is finalizing her doctoral studies in political science at the University of Oxford, underscoring her commitment to blending academic rigor with practical diplomacy.

Luis Alberto Camargo

Luis Alberto Camargo is Founder and Executive Director of Organización para la Educación y Protección Ambiental (OpEPA - Colombia & USA), Co-Founder fo The Weaving Lab, Core member of Regenerative Communities Network and Founder of Colombia Regenerativa, and Director at Thundra Outdoors. Global Change Leader, Young Global Leader (2008), Ashoka Fellow.

Prior, he held a number of roles, including Adviser to the Vice-Minister of Environment of Colombia, Adviser to the Department of National Planning, Researcher at Universidad de los Andes and WWF, Wilderness Medicine Instructor at the Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) as well as wilderness educator in the US. He received a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master's in Computer Graphics from Pratt Institute.

Alfredo Capote

Head of Spanish Latam Investment Banking, Deloitte, Mexico

Alfredo Capote is Co-Chief Executive Officer of publicly listed Promecap Acquisition Company, S.A.B. de C.V. which is focused on making an initial business combination with a leading business in Mexico. In addition he is Head of Investor Engagement at 500 Startups, the leading global venture capital firm n technology, focused on supporting and funding the most innovative tech founders in the world. Over 20 years, he held various leading private equity and investment banking senior position. Being the most relevant, head of the investment banking efforts for Goldman Sachs in Mexico, where he was responsible for client coverage and execution of M&A and capital market transactions in Mexico and selected countries within Latin America. Capote joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 as a Vice-President in Investment Banking and was named Managing Director in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in the Latin America Group within the Investment Banking Division in the M&A and Corporate Finance Groups. Capote has led a significant number of transactions across Latin America and several sectors including telecom, media, real estate, financial institutions, oil, gas, education, automotive, chemical, consumer goods, industrial, IT services and utilities, among others. Capote earned a BSc, magna cum laude, in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1993; an MA, with honours, from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 1996; and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1998; a Leadership Programs both in the Said School of Business at Oxford University and the Kennedy School at Harvard University.

Lisa Caputo

Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Officer, The Travelers Companies Inc., USA

Lisa Caputo is the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing, Communications, and Customer Experience Officer for The Travelers Companies, Inc. She joined Travelers on June 1, 2011. Previously, she served as the President and CEO of Women and Co., a subsidiary of Citigroup, offering financial services for women. In addition to running Women and Company, she was Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Citi. Prior to that, she was also Managing Director, Business Operations and Planning, of Citigroup’s Global Consumer Group. Before joining Citigroup, Caputo was a senior communications executive at the CBS Corporation and at the Walt Disney Company. She was also a contributing editor to George magazine, as well as an NBC and MSNBC political analyst, and has served as a co-host for CNN’s “Crossfire”, and CNBC/MSNBC’s “Equal Time”. Prior to embarking on a career in business, she served as the Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States and Press Secretary to the First Lady in the White House from 1993-1996. A recipient of numerous awards, Caputo is also involved in a number of philanthropic activities and serves as a Board member of several organizations. Lisa is a graduate of Brown University (with a BA magna cum laude in Political Science and French) and of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism (MSJ, with the highest distinction).
