Alberto de Belaunde (he/him) is the Program Adviser - Global Advocacy at OutRight. He is a lawyer with a master's degree in environmental management and postgraduate studies in public policy. He was the second openly gay congressman in the history of Peru. In 2019, he was awarded the Victory Institute Tammy Baldwin Breakthrough Award for his work on behalf of the LGBT+ community. In 2021 he was part of the Yale World Fellowship. He has published two books, one of them about openly LGBTQ+ authorities in Latin America.

Daniel de Boer is a passionate entrepreneur with a drive to make a meaningful impact on society. Initially, he was focused on building IT companies; however, when his newborn son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disease with a limited life expectancy, it put everything in his life into perspective. de Boer decided to turn his focus towards finding a treatment for his son and other patients suffering from cystic fibrosis. He founded ProQR Therapeutics, which currently has 150 employees across Europe and the United States. Inspired by his work for cystic fibrosis patients and with a goal to impact many more lives, de Boer decided to broaden the scope of ProQR to include developing drugs for several other severe, rare diseases for which no treatments are available.

Jaime is the Climate Envoy of the Netherlands. He has an extensive diplomatic career in forging partnerships for innovative solutions to complex global challenges. He was the Senior Advisor on Private Sector Partnerships to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), where he worked on the energy transition in refugee settlements. As the Ambassador of the Netherlands to the Holy See (Vatican), he partnered on peace, climate action and forced migration. As Special Envoy for Natural Resources, he initiated the Responsible Mining Index and set up conflict-free supply chains of metals and minerals in the DRC with the private sector and civil society. He was a member of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Competition, worked in the field as Political Advisor to the Dutch Commander of the NATO Peacekeeping Mission in Afghanistan and helped set up the Netherlands Embassy in Iraq. He has held various other functions in MENA, Africa and Latin America. Born in the Netherlands in 1972, he holds an MA from Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA from Brown University. He is married and has two young daughters. Concurrently he is a Member of the Board of the Forum of Young Global Leaders (WEF).

Prof. Demirköz is an astro-particle physics professor at the Ankara-based Middle East Technical University who is active in science diplomacy. She studied at MIT and Oxford for her undergraduate and graduate degrees respectively, worked at Cambridge University, IFAE Barcelona and CERN for 15 years on silicon detectors and data analysis for the ATLAS Experiment as well as the space radiation studies with the AMS Experiment on the International Space Station. She is currently the director of the Research and Application Center for Space and Accelerating Technologies (IVMER), which performs space radiation tests, builds radiation detectors for space and for medical facilities as well as analyze big data for space science.

Prof. Demirköz was a Marie Curie Fellow under FP7, co-funded THE Port humanitarian hackathons at CERN and received multiple awards including the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Rising Talent fellowship. She served on the governing board of TUBITAK for three years and is a member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences and the Young Global Academy as well as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

Former Member, Empire State Stem Cell Board, which designed New York State's stem cell policy. At age 11, was in an accident leaving her paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator. Author of memoir, Miracles Happen (2002), which was made into a movie, The Brooke Ellison Story, directed by Christopher Reeve.

Betsy Fischer Martin is an Emmy-winning journalist and TV news executive. Currently she is the Executive Director of the Women & Politics Institute at American University and a professor in the AU School of Public Affairs, She is also a member of the International Advisory Council of APCO Worldwide and founded her own consulting business, Fischer Martin Media, where she specializes in providing media training to corporate executives.

During her earlier career in television news, she was the Managing Editor of NBC News Political Programming, where she was responsible for the development and execution of network political coverage.

Before being promoted to the executive role at NBC News in 2013, Fischer Martin was the executive producer of the top-rated Sunday morning public affairs program, Meet the Press, for 11 years. Overall, her tenure with the program extended over 22 years, beginning as an internship during her senior year of college.
 
She serves on the Board of Directors of Washington’s International Women’s Forum and the National Press Club’s Journalism Institute. She is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

A native of New Orleans, Fischer Martin did her undergraduate and graduate work at American University in Washington, DC.  She is a cum laude graduate of their School of Public Affairs and earned a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the AU School of Communications. 

Anielle Franco is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was born and raised in Favela da Maré.

She has a bachelor's degree in Journalism and English from North Carolina Central University and a bachelor's and a license degree in English literature from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. She has a master's degree in Journalism, English, and Ethnic-Racial Relations from Florida A&M University and CEFET-RJ, and she is currently a Ph.D. student at the Federal University in Rio de Janeiro Applied Linguistics.

Anielle has published two books about her sister, "Letter to Marielle" and "My sister and I," and has participated in many other books, including the Brazilian edition of Angela Davis' autobiography. She is the Minister of Racial Equality in Brazil and the former Executive Director of the Marielle Franco Institute.

On the frontline of the fight for justice and a legacy for her sister Marielle Franco, Anielle uses her voice to inspire other women, girls, and poor black people in Brazil and around the world to keep moving society's structures.

Badruun Gardi is a social innovator, creative strategist, and educator from Mongolia.

He is founder of the newly established New Nomad Institute, a research and action institute that aims to uncover the enduring knowledge of nomadic societies and apply those learnings towards addressing the climate crisis, particularly in the areas of climate migration and adaptation. Nomadic pastoralists have a unique and close relationship to nature, land, and other living beings. Positioned at the crossroads of research and education, the Institute tackles challenges spanning individual to national scales. The Institute’s initial research focus is on nomadism in Mongolia, where nearly a third of the population still maintains a traditional nomadic pastoralist way of life.

Badruun is also co-founder of GerHub, a nonprofit social innovation firm that develops creative solutions to the challenges caused by rapid urbanization in Mongolia. GerHub primarily works in the ger (traditional nomadic dwelling) areas of Ulaanbaatar, where over 60 percent of the city’s residents live, with little access to basic infrastructure for water, sewage, and heating. A key focus for GerHub is its work on adapting the ger dwelling to be more suitable in an urban context.

Passionate about nurturing the next generation of creative problem solvers, Badruun devotes significant time working with youth through teaching and mentorship. He is currently teaching Stanford University Structured Liberal Education’s pilot hybrid course on moral philosophy at a high school in Ulaanbaatar.

A lifelong fan of film and the performing arts, Badruun was previously creative executive at Salmira Productions, a company that develops, finances, and produces thought-provoking and conversation-catalyzing projects in film, theater, television, and podcasts.

Badruun is a member of the Climate Migration Council and serves on the boards of Arts Council of Mongolia, Mongolia Education Initiative, and Smart Air Mongolia. He is a former trustee of The Asia Foundation. As a 2023 Loeb Fellow, he spent an academic year in residence at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Badruun holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication from Stanford University.

Barbara is a dynamic and visionary leader who has spearheaded impactful projects that prioritize inclusivity and innovation. Barbara earned a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM and a Certificate in Global Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management. She has been recognized as one of the 500 Latin Americans in 2022 by Bloomberg Línea, a prestigious honor awarded to only 54 Mexicans who are making significant contributions to business development and the economic landscape. In addition, she has been named one of the 50 Women of Impact in Latin America by Bloomberg Línea and has been included in Expansión's 30 promesas in Mexico, a list that recognizes young professionals under 40 who are making a meaningful impact in the business world.

Georgie Benardete is a technology investor and entrepreneur. She is the CEO of Align 17, a private digital platform that connects private capital to Global Goals investments.

Previously she is Co-Founded Orchard Mile, the digital Madison Avenue. Recognized by Interbrand as a "Breakthrough Brand 2016", it leverages on the pioneering in-ad universal cart technology created by her previous company, Shopbeam. Benardete started her career at OPIC, Coopers & Lybrand and JP Morgan. A committed environmentalist, she founded Yesilist.com, Turkey's largest green portal. She is also part of Al Gore's Climate Project as a speaker, a founding member of the Charly Alberti R21 Foundation in Latin America and a LEAD International Fellow. Benardete is an active investor in Belle Capital USA, an early-stage VC fund that promotes investments in companies with strong female leadership, and is a Founding Curator of the World Economic Forum's Glob al Shapers hub in San Juan and NYC. She is Member Emeritus of the
UN Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council.

Georgie earned a Master of Science of Foreign Service (with honors) from Georgetown University, where she was a Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellow. She coursed studies in Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. She loves to weave purpose in her life and support others who do.

Kim Hallwood is a sustainability professional who is passionate about using business as a catalyst for positive, long-lasting change. As a member of HSBC Bank Canada’s Executive Committee and HSBC’s global Corporate Sustainability Executive Committee, Kim shapes the development and leads the local execution of a sustainability strategy for one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations. Under her leadership, the bank has been consistently recognized as one of Canada’s best corporate citizens and is actively managing the risks and opportunities presented by the transition to a low carbon economy. Kim has served as Director on the HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada) Board since 2020.

Bicheng Han is the founder and CEO of BrainCo. He is dedicated in the research and application using the technology of non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI). Bicheng found BrainCo in 2015, while he was pursuing his PhD degree at Harvard Center for Brain Science. The company has now grown into a world-leading brain-computer interface (BCI) company and the first unicorn among all BCI companies in the world. Their technology has been applied in multiple fields to help people with different needs, from neurological diseases like ADHD, Alzheimers, and Autism, to prostheses that help people with disabilities regain control over their body. For his work in BCI, he was awarded the “MIT Tech Review China 35 Innovators under 35”. Their product was selected as “Best inventions of the year” by TIME magazine.
