Tolu Oni

Clinical Professor of Global Public Health and Sustainable Urban Development, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom

Tolu Oni is a Public Health Physician Scientist and Urban Epidemiologist at the University of Cambridge, where she is a Professor of Global Public Health and Sustainable Urban Development. She is also Extraordinary Professor and Chair at Innovation Africa, University of Pretoria and an Honorary Associate Professor at the School of Public Health and Family Medicine, University of Cape Town.

She is Founder & Principal of UrbanBetter | Oni et al (https://urbanbetter.science/), an Africa-led global practice and movement to accelerate solutions that improve health in Africa’s cities by increasing the supply of health from place; and by creating a platform to increase youth-led demand for healthy places. UrbanBetter works in partnership with city governments, civil society and industry actors to design planetary health into urban infrastructure and development projects and policies in Africa and globally to harness urban development for population health and climate resilience.

Born in Lagos, she completed her medical training (and a BSc in International Health) at University College London, postgraduate medical training in the UK (Member of the Royal College of Physicians) and Australia, a Masters degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) at the University of Cape Town, and a research doctorate in Clinical Epidemiology at Imperial College London. She completed Public Health Medical Specialty training in South Africa and is a Fellow of the College of Public Health Medicine of South Africa.

She has published her work in high-impact journals, and has given presentations at international academic (urban health, planetary health, HIV, TB) and non-academic meetings including the United Nations High Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development, New York; and the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, Davos. She serves on several advisory boards including Future Earth and the African Academy of Science Open Research Platform; and is an editorial board member of Lancet Planetary Health, PLOS Global Public Health, Cities and Health, and the Journal of Urban Health.

Profiled in the Lancet journal in 2016, Science magazine in 2018, and the British Medical Journal in 2019, she is a Fellow of the International Science Council, the African Academy of Sciences, a 2015 Next Einstein Forum Fellow, and a 2019 Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

Olivier Oullier

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Inclusive Brains, France

Olivier Oullier, PhD, is a neuroscientist, entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder and CEO of Inclusive Brains, a company building AI's first Neural Foundation Model to empower machine to adapt and serve everyone regardless their abilities. In 2023, with other Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, he founded the Assistive Tech & Artificial Intelligence for Inclusion Impact Initiative to support, fund and scale tech solutions that improve inclusion at school and in the workplace . Olivier is also the Chairman of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence by Biotech Dental.

He is the former President of EMOTIV, the global leader of portable brain sensing neurotechnologies, and the former Global Head of Strategy in Health and Healthcare and Member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum

A Full Professor of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at Aix-Marseille University, he also taught at the Universities of Oxford and Geneva's executive education programs. From 2009 to 2012, he was the director of the Neuroscience and Public Policy Program at the French Prime Minister's Center for Strategic Analyses. A former expert at the European Commission's DG SANCO, he sat on France's Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (OPECST) and High Council for Strategic Education and Research (CSFRS).

Olivier has (co-)authored more than 250 scientific, medical, business and mainstream publications including "The Science of Engagement (2012), "The Science of INgagement" (2014) and the first ever market report on Pervasive Neurotechnologies (2015) and their impact on business.

He studied at the Universities of the Mediterranean, Cincinnati, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

He moonlights as a DJ under the stage name of Jacques LAVOISIER, and founded DJs4good an organization leveraging the global community of DJs to support and fund charities, research and social impact projects on inclusion, disability and mental health. In 2012, he premiered The Neuromix, the first neurotech-powered live performance combining electronic generative visual arts and music generated in real-time from his brainwaves.

Burcu Ozturk

Chief Financial Officer, MLP Saglık Hizmetleri A.Ş., Türkiye

Burcu Ozturk is the CFO of MLP Care, which operates with 30 hospitals and c.18,000 employees, the largest private hospital group in Turkey. Burcu Ozturk graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration and then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers. During her 10 years of service, Burcu worked as a consultant in Mergers & Acquisitions activities of international investors. Burcu was transferred to PwC New York in 2010; where she provided consultancy services as a Director for 2 years. In 2019, Burcu was ranked among the Top 10 “CFO’s Best For Investor Relations” in Medtech&Services, in the global survey by “Extel”. In 2020, Burcu was awarded as the “Best CFO” in both Turkey and EMEA by “Institutional Investor”. In 2018 and 2020, Burcu entered the list of "Turkey's Top 50 CFO” prepared by Fortune magazine. Burcu is a member of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey and works in Access to Finance Group, contributing to the development of women entrepreneur ecosystem. Burcu is a Board member of Turkish Food Banking Foundation. Burcu is an Executive Board Member (responsible from fund development) in “Disaster Platform”, a platform created by +30 NGOs to minimize the effects of disasters in Turkey.

Amit Paley

Entrepreneur in Residence, International Rescue Committee (IRC), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Amit Paley is the Entrepreneur in Residence at the International Rescue Committee, the global humanitarian organization that provides aid and development in 40 war-affected countries. He previously served as CEO of The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people. Under Amit Paley’s leadership, The Trevor Project expanded the number of youth served more than ten-fold, launched a global expansion, and developed innovative technology tools leveraging AI and machine learning that were recognized as one of TIME magazine’s top 100 inventions of the year. Amit was also an Associate Partner at the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where his clients included Fortune 500 companies, governments, and non-profit organizations. Amit Paley started his career as a reporter at The Washington Post covering several high-profile beats, including as a foreign correspondent based in Iraq, where his work was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and a financial investigative journalist.

Amit is a sought-after speaker who has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and CNN. He has been an adjunct professor at City University of New York and served on the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Steering Committee, the Executive Committee of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, the Board of the Center for Public Integrity, and Chair of the Graduate Council of The Harvard Crimson. Amit Paley graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Kirsten Parker

Vice-President, Client Operations, Ravelin Technology Ltd, United Kingdom

Kirsten's background is leading growing companies through scale up, acquisitions, and a range of innovation, change, and engagement initiatives.

She's VP of Client Operations at Ravelin Technology, a company that helps clients detect and prevent fraud and increase payment acceptance. Ravelin uses machine learning and a suite of tools to help clients prevent payment fraud and emerging threats like account takeover, marketplace fraud, promo abuse, and refund abuse.

Previously, she was VP of Solutions Strategy at Mind Gym, a consultancy that designs people-led solutions for performance, diversity and inclusion, team effectiveness, resilience, ethics, and organisational change.

Kirsten was co-founder and Managing Director of Exclusive Analysis (EA, acquired by IHS) and head of Country Risk Analysis and Forecasting at IHS Markit (following the merger of Global Insight, Jane’s, and EA). The team forecast war, terrorism, unrest, and political risk to enable strategic planning, market entry, risk management, and social licence for clients across government and industries.

She also worked for Common Ground Community (now Breaking Ground) - an innovative not-for-profit whose flagship projects are bold experiments in financing, developing, and managing urban planning - as well as in a community mental health team in the NHS and a children’s crisis team in New York.

Kirsten holds a BA in Anthropology and Politics from the University of Chicago, an MSc in Applied Social Studies (Psychology, Sociology, and Public Policy) and a Diploma in Social Work from Oxford (Rhodes Scholar), and an MSc in Leadership & Strategy from London Business School (Sloan Fellow).

Her interests include organisational psychology, conflict and social policy, and risk forecasting. Kirsten is based in the UK and has and has lived and worked in the US, Europe, Latin America, and APAC.

Codrut Pascu

Codrut Pascu is Partner of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants Romania and Co-Head of the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) operations. He started as a consultant in 1998 and worked his way up to Partner in less than 10 years, becoming one of the youngest partners in the firm's worldwide partner network. Prior, Codrut worked for a leading Romanian brokerage company and for Morgan Stanley's investment banking division in London. Committed to fostering educational excellence among young talents, he is Founder of the Romanian Education Trust and the Roland Berger Scholarships in Romania, which supports the academic development of talented Romanians studying abroad. In his capacity of thought leader and active promoter of business education, Codrut has been cited in hundreds of articles published in leading publications in Romania and CEE. He studied Business Administration at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, graduating with a full merit scholarship. He also completed an MBA programme at INSEAD, a leading business academic institution in France.

Devina Pasta

Ioana Patriniche

Managing Director / Head of Investor Relations, Deutsche Bank, United Kingdom

Ioana Patriniche is Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations for Deutsche Bank, responsible for strategy and execution of the bank’s external stakeholder management. She was a former Head of the UK financial institutions debt capital markets business, responsible for advising management teams on financing, capital raising and investor engagement. Patriniche is a founding member of Deutsche Bank's first-ever group for fostering and developing high-potential female talent and a mentor for rising female talent throughout the firm. She also works with the Romanian Education Trust, a charity focused on helping Romanian students secure funding to study at top-ranking MBA programmes in Europe.

Verena Pausder

Managing Partner, Pausder Ventures GmbH, Germany

Verena founded the companies Fox & Sheep GmbH in 2012 and HABA Digital GmbH in 2016 and is passionate about the digital life and education of children. Verena is driven by a great vision: All children are supposed to access digital education equally. Therefore, Verena founded the non-profit association Digitale Bildung für Alle e.V. in 2017. Furthermore Verena gives first-hand advice on current issues of digitalization on the political level and serves as a member of the Innovation Council for the Minister of State for Digitalization, Dorothee Bär.

Rolph Antoine Payet

Executive Secretary, Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, Switzerland

Rolph Antoine Payet, with a PhD in Environmental Science, is currently Executive Secretary of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Convention Secretariat based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior he was Minister for Environment and Energy in the Government of Seychelles. He has also held the position of President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Seychelles and Special Adviser to the President of Seychelles. Payet is founding member/trustee of the Global Island Partnership, the Sea Level Rise Foundation, the Seychelles University Foundation, the Seychelles Centre for Marine Research and Technology, the Island Conservation Society and the Silhouette Foundation. In November 2007, he shared the Nobel Peace Prize as an IPCC Lead Author.
