Diskul Dispanadda

Chief Executive Officer, Doi Tung Development Project, Thailand

M.L. Dispanadda Diskul (Duke) is the Chief Executive Officer of Mae Fah Luang Foundation. He has an extensive background in sustainable development having been in charge of the foundation's rural development initiatives both domestically and internationally. He leads the strategic mission and vision, and is the key representative disseminating the foundation's core principles and knowledge as well as advising on policy in major forums. Duke oversees the foundation's flagship social enterprise, the Doi Tung Development Project and the brand's five different social businesses. He is very active in the Thailand social enterprise scene where he is a member of Thailand Social Enterprise Board. In 2019, he co-founded and was elected President of the Social Enterprise Thailand Association (SE Thailand), a platform to help build capacity for new enterprises in Thailand. Duke has a Masters in Business Administration from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University.

Iim Fahima Jachja

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Queenrides, Indonesia

Iim Fahima Jachja is a Young Global Leader of World Economic Forum, 25 Asia Best Young Entrepreneurs of Business Week and Founder of Queenrides, an online-offline women empowerment community platform with four pillars: Road Safety, Economic Empowerment, Digital Literacy and Family Life Education. Having more than 400K community in all over Indonesia and 19 other countries, Queenrides is now a collaboration platform for public, private sectors, NGOs and Government.

In 2018, Queenrides selected by The World Economic Forum as one of Asia most creative startups and Iim named among 2019 Young World-Changers during World Economic Forum in Davos .

Iim is an active speaker at numerous international events such as World Economic Forum Davos, FIA The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile Conference, Nissan Future, ADB Regional Conference and many more. Iim also often invited by magazines, radio stations and television stations to be the speaker for Mobility, Startups, Entrepreneurship and Women related issues. 

Before Queenrides, Iim was significant role in the digital advertising industry. Founder and CEO Virus Communication who brought the trend of digital advertising to Indonesia in 2005, the company won many pitches local and regional. In 2011 Iim was appointed CEO of Virtual Consulting (VIRTUCO) that owns Musikkamu.com with 20 million paid subscribers; Gila Motor, media with the most engage online-offline motorbike community with 700.000 members. 

Carlos Fernandes

Managing Partner, Next Opus Ventures, Singapore

Carlos Fernandes is a deep generalist and an expert in digital disruption, transformation and its implications on society, businesses, competition and the economy. Currently, he runs a venture studio in the education space with ventures such as Puzzicle, Rookieverse, Daring Awards as currently public ventures. He's been a C-level executive at a billion-dollar company, a startup entrepreneur, an inventor (with award-winning patents), government regulator board member and an adjunct professor. His ideas have been published in the Financial Times, the Guardian and the Business Times to name a few.

Fernandes has served on the "Future of Media" Global Agenda Council as well as on the AI and Blockchain Expert Networks at the World Economic Forum. Fernandes has been appointed to the Competition Appeals Board by the Singapore Government. Previously, he served on the Entrepreneurship Review Committee for the Singapore Government and the Pro-Enterprise Panel (PEP), a board that was recognized by the United Nations, and tasked with reviewing the regulatory framework around new innovations. He's a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum and was named as the youngest ever Young Professional of the Year by the Singapore Computer Society.

Fernandes has an MBA (High Honors) from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Bombay University, a Masters in Information Technology. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Yale University Global Leadership programs.

Vidhya Ganesan

Managing Partner, McKinsey and Company, Malaysia

Vidhya Ganesan is Managing Partner of McKinsey and Company’s Malaysia office and was previously Co-Founder and Co-Leader of McKinsey's Sri Lanka office. Ganesan has steered several transformative government programmes in the social, economic and financial sectors with a special focus on digital government and digital economy. Her focus on leveraging technology in low and middle-income nations has enhanced education and healthcare outcomes while fostering transparency and efficiency. As a McKinsey Center for Government fellow, she contributed to global research and innovation in government digitization and performance. Her expertise extends to advising apparel manufacturers, particularly in sustainable practices and digital manufacturing. Notably, Ganesan collaborates with a leading apparel manufacturer on their ambitious goal to become the world's first traditional apparel manufacturer World Economic Forum lighthouse. She also provides strategic counsel to high-tech and telecommunications clients on digital business development and impact investing. Ganesan was also Co-Founder of McKinsey’s All In, Diversity and Inclusion initiative in South-East Asia and she is passionate about advancing women in the workforce at McKinsey and beyond. Ganesan regularly conducts training sessions for women entrepreneurs; she is a mentor and coach for women and publishes and gives talks on the topic.

Matthew Guilford

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Common Health, Philippines

Matthew Guilford is co-founder and CEO of Common Health, a purpose-driven company that uses mobile technology to advance universal health coverage. Through an innovative model that integrates telemedicine, last mile service delivery, and health financing benefits, Common Health improves access to care and reduces out-of-pocket costs for families with complex health needs like pregnancy, early childhood health, and non-communicable diseases. Since launching services in Myanmar in April 2021, the company has grown to serve more than 30,000 members through a blended business model that integrates consumer sales and donor support.

Prior to founding Common Health, Guilford served as co-founder, chief commercial officer, and chief growth officer of Telenor Health, a part of global telecommunications company Telenor Group. Over the course of five years living and working in Dhaka, he helped to scale health coverage to more than five million clients across Bangladesh.

He holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School and a degree in biological basis of behavior (behavioral neuroscience) from the University of Pennsylvania. He splits his time between Yangon, Myanmar and Providence, Rhode Island, USA.

Natashya Gutierrez

President, Rappler.com, Philippines

Experienced multimedia journalist with a demonstrated history of working in the online media industry. Skilled in digital reporting, breaking news, editing, management, investigative journalism, and content strategy.

As a leader and editor, Natashya built two newsrooms in Asia-Pacific: the Indonesia bureau of multi-award winning newsroom Rappler, and the Asia-Pacific digital news operations for Vice News. Under her watch, the Vice APAC team won several awards for their reporting on human rights in the region.

As a journalist and correspondent, she is trained in text, video, and social media. Natashya is particularly knowledgeable on Southeast Asia, and has lived and worked in Manila, Jakarta, Singapore and Sydney in the last decade. Her work is largely focused on covering women's rights, politics, democracies and disinformation.

Shahril Hamdan

Managing Director, Watchtower Advisory, Malaysia

With a background in Economics, Shahril has developed a multi sector profile in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

He climbed the political ladder in Malaysia, and was until late 2022 the Head of Communications for Malaysia’s oldest political party. In a career in public life spanning 10 years, he had also served in government as the Economic Director in the Prime Ministers Office (2021-2022).

But Shahril was not a career politician, and has had stints as
• A management consultant with McKinsey serving clients across Southeast Asia (2011-2014)
• A CEO managing the mid-sized Malaysian energy services company Destini Oil with footprint in Southeast Asia and the Middle East (2014-2018)
• A private markets player - firstly in venture as a partner at IGV Partners and currently as a fundraiser and transaction advisor at Watchtower Advisory which he founded recently (2018-present)
• A communicator as co-host of Malaysia’s current top current issues podcast Keluar Sekejap (2023-present)
• A geopolitical analyst on Southeast Asian affairs as a Visiting Fellow at Singapore’s Rajaratnam School of International Studies (2023)

Since January 2023, Shahril has stepped out of politics, but continues to leverage the varied insights and roles he developed in the past decade to deliver impact via Watchtower and beyond. He actively seeks opportunities to engender cross-cultural and cross-border understanding crucial to meet the global challenges of the moment and capitalise on collaboration opportunities, especially given Southeast Asia’s strategic position in the context of de-risking, multipolarity and Great Power Competition.

Shahril holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester (2008) and an MSc in Race, Ethnicity and Postcolonial Studies, LSE (2011) where he also won the Hobhouse Memorial Prize for graduating top of his class that year.

Ho Ren Hua

Chief Executive Officer, Thai Wah Group, Thailand

Ren Hua Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of of Thai Wah Public Company - a regional Agri Food platform from Farm to Shelf based in Southeast Asia developing from farm to shelf a range of food, starch and bio packaging materials. Thai Wah was nominated in 2022 by HR Asia as one of the Best Companies to Work, and currently operates in 7 countries in 15 locations including USA, India and China. Ren Hua also spearheads Thai Wah Ventures and Roseco - the first tapioca based bio packaging platform of its kind.

Thai Wah, in conjunction with Temasek founded the SEA Agri Food Summit in 2022 and in 2023 was co-chair of the Grow Asia bilateral joint councils on agri development in the region.

Ren Hua graduated with Honors from the The Wharton School and is currently a Masters graduate student at the University of Chicago. He started his career in Bain New York, and is married with two kids.

So-Young Kang

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, AWAKEN GROUP PTE LTD, Singapore

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gnowbe, a pioneering microlearning authoring tool for creators to design engaging and data-driven shared learning experiences for their teams or organizations based on the science of how humans learn and develop. Gnowbe is a spin-off from Awaken Group, a pioneer of transformation design (TD) globally, multi-disciplinary approach to helping companies achieve their objectives by integrating business strategy, leadership and human-centred design. Designs values-based innovative experiences and organizations. Works with individuals to better align what's inside with what's on the outside.

Board/Founding Member: SEA Founders (one of largest network of tech founders in Southeast Asia), Young Professionals' Group (youth mentoring and scholarship). Author of “Inside Out,” TEDx speaker, educator, consultant, coach, innovator, adviser, pioneer, public speaker, culture connector and global citizen. Former: McKinsey, Citigroup. Graduate of Harvard Business School and University of Pennsylvania.

Elaine Kim

Co-Founder, Trehaus, Singapore

Dr Elaine Kim is a medical doctor and entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and CEO of Trehaus, an early education business behind the leading, premium Trehaus School preschool brand, powered by Little Lab, an AI- enabled ed-tech platform that delivers the proprietary Trehaus curriculum and teacher training in the research-and project/play-based “Trehaus Method” pedagogical framework. The Trehaus flagship spaces brings together preschool, office space/ business club with creche, so professional parents do not need to choose between career and family.
Prior to taking the helm at Trehaus, she was the CEO of CRIB, a social enterprise she co-founded to empower women to become successful entrepreneurs through networking, co-founder and investor/start-up matching and training and equipping of female founders. 
After a decade as a doctor caring for terminally ill patients, she continues her involvement in palliative care through her work with the Singapore Ministry of Health Ageing Planning Office and remains involved in various charitable causes, especially through the philanthropic arm CRIB Gives Back that she launched at the helm of CRIB.
Elaine is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (WEF YGL) , a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) and actively involved in the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO). She is married to venture capitalist John Kim of Amasia VC and they have 3 young children. 

Stefanie Kurniadi

Founder and Chief Operating Officer, FOODIZZ.ID, Indonesia

Stefanie Kurniadi is a passionate entrepreneur that build her company with strong purpose. Her passion in food brings her to build one of the most innovative F&B chain company in Indonesia and continue to build F&B Business ecosystem in Indonesia through education. After no longer active in management, Stefanie focus on building FOODIZZ: F&B Business Education Ecosystem and established until now as The Biggest in Indonesia. With more than 100.000 graduates through online and offline programs, in 2023 has come to the next stage to strength the ecosystem, which is establishing the education and work placement for the talents (Karirkuliner).

Aiming to build stronger F&B Business Ecosystem while completing her PhD, Stefanie is on fund raising stage for Karirkuliner as a platform to uplift blue collars skills in F&B Industry and connect them with available jobs. In the same time Karirkuliner connects F&B Businesses with trained talents. Karirkuliner is part of Foodizz Academy, The Biggest F&B Business Ecosystem in Indonesia that has more than 10.000 alumni and has been our competitive advantage in building a job connection platform, focusing in F&B Business blue collars talents.
