Georges Kern

Chief Executive Officer, Breitling SA, Switzerland

Georges Kern studied Political Science in Strasbourg, France, and graduated in Business Administration
from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland. He acquired experience in the fast-movingconsumer-goods
sector at Kraft Foods Switzerland before moving into the watch industry at TAG Heuer.

In 2000, he joined Richemont, the Swiss luxury goods group, and was active in the integration of
the brands A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC Schaffhausen following their acquisition.
In 2002, at the age of 36, he became the youngest CEO within Richemont when he was chosen to
run IWC Schaffhausen. In 2017, he was promoted to Head of Watchmaking, Marketing and Digital
at Richemont and focused on supervising the Specialist Watchmaking Maisons.

In 2017, Georges Kern was appointed the new CEO of the independent watch company Breitling
SA, where he is also a shareholder. In his new position, Georges Kern’s mission is to foster the
global development of one of the world’s most established watch manufacturers, and to focus on
further developing Breitling’s digital and retail footprint, in particular with a view to accelerating
growth in the important Asian markets.

Georges Kern served as a member of the Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum from
2005 to 2010, and became Founding Curator of the Global Shapers Community in Zurich in 2011.

Vanessa Kerry

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Seed Global Health, USA

Dr. Kerry is the co-founder and CEO of Seed Global Health (Seed), a non-profit organization focused on health systems strengthening and transformation through long-term investments and training of the health workforce. Under her leadership, Seed has helped educate more than 34,000 doctors, nurses, and midwives in seven countries, helping to improve health care for more than 73 million people.

In June 2023 Dr. Kerry was appointed WHO Special Envoy for Climate Change and Health and is leading efforts to build advocacy around the impact of climate change on health in order to ensure equitable and just climate action. As co-chair of a workstream on the World Health Organization’s Public Health and Emergency Health Workforce Roadmap, she is helping to galvanize consensus for investment in surveillance, detection, and treatment for the next pandemic.

She is a critical care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and serves as the associate director of partnerships and global initiatives at the MGH Center for Global Health. She directs the Global Public Policy and Social Change program at Harvard Medical School where she has focused on links between security and health. She is the mother of two children.

Nora Khaldi

Founder and Chief Science Officer, Nuritas, Ireland

Nora Khaldi is an award-winning TEDx speaker and a highly published mathematician and scientist. Her revolutionary and innovative ideas and inventions have been awarded and recognized by the likes of Forbes, Wired and the European Union Commission. She is the founder of Nuritas, the first company in the world to introduce artificial intelligence to the food arena, with the aim of creating the future of food and personalized nutrition, in a nutshell, the future of health. Nuritas was recently classified among the 21 most innovative start-ups in the world along with Uber.

Faisal Khan

Director, Precision Medicine Lab, Pakistan

Dr Faisal Khan is the Principal Investigator at the NCBC Precision Medicine Lab, which is Pakistan’s federally-funded pilot in precision medicine focusing on oral cancer. Dr Khan’s interdisciplinary and translational research lab started in 2013, and is interested in using cutting-edge genomic and multiomic approaches and in vitro models to solve for a broad of set of challenges: from cancer and infectious diseases to space biology and bioart. Dr Khan is also the Head of the Centre for Genomic Sciences at Rehman Medical Institute and the Director for the Joint Center for Bioeconomy and is responsible for foundational work in building the life sciences ecosystem in the region. He has won several awards both in academia and the industry and has advised the federal and provincial governments on numerous boards and committees on education, science, technology, innovation and the industry. Dr Khan graduated with a Masters and a Doctorate from the University of Oxford (UK) and more recently completed his training in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics at Harvard Medical School (US). In 2019, he was nominated as a Young Global Leader from Pakistan by the World Economic Forum. In 2021, he was appointed as Advisor to the Minister for Science and Technology and IT, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where he designed and developed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Science Agenda launched in 2022.

Nauman Ahmed Khan

Managing Director, Almoiz Industries Limited, United Arab Emirates

Nauman Khan founded Almoiz Industries, a manufacturer of sugar and its by-products in Pakistan, which uses a unique multi-crop production process and biomass-based energy sales to create a paradigm shift in the way sugar manufacturing operations are organized in sub-tropical countries. He has also been a pioneer of sustainable, environmentally friendly and small landholder focused practices in his industry. Prior, he worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co and PepsiCo in the US. Nauman has a keen interest in technology entrepreneurship and is an avid angel investor. He is an active contributor in the field of education and serves on the boards of several universities and schools in the US and Pakistan. Nauman has a MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, and BA in Economics, both from Stanford University.

Maryam Khansari

Managing Director, Herison Construction Company, France

Maryam Khansari, born in 1984 in Tehran, serves as the Managing Director of Herison Company, one of Iran's foremost construction firms with a rich history spanning over sixty years. The company has been instrumental in a variety of infrastructure projects, including industrial sites, power stations, refineries, sports complexes, sewage treatment plants, residential buildings, roads, and bridges.
Additionally, Maryam holds a pivotal role as a board member and International Relations Manager at the Syndicate of Construction Companies of Iran, the oldest syndication in the country. She plays a key part in advocating for the private sector's rights in engineering and construction.
Maryam is also a Global Member of the Trilateral Commission, reflecting her engagement and influence in international affairs.
Committed to a sustainable future, Maryam aspires to integrate eco-friendly practices within the construction industry, fostering environmental stewardship.
She is also an advocate for gender diversity, actively supporting the empowerment of women in business leadership.

Omezzine Khelifa

Executive Director of Apolitical Academy Global, Mobdiun - Creative Youth, Italy

Driven by authenticity, creativity, and purpose I am striving to make a lasting impact in the world. Tech engineer, former politician, and social entrepreneur, I have a 360 degrees public policy experience with a strong focus on democracy and peace building. After being part of the Tunisian Revolution in 2011, and twice running for Parliament, I was appointed Senior Advisor to the minister of Finance of Tunisia where I spearheaded open governance, state budget transparency, and tax system reforms. Building on my cabinet experience, and as consultant for multi-lateral institutions such as the World Bank, the European Union, and the United NationsI, I contributed to policy dialogues and technical assistance programs to the Tunisian government on several critical reforms including financial sector, public governance, and youth inclusion. For the past eight years, I have been founding and running Mobdiun, a peace organization that counters violent extremism and advocates for inclusive and feminist security policies. I also have been at the source of building the Alliance for Security and Liberties, a national civil society coalition for democracy and violent extremism prevention in Tunisia. Today, I'm thrilled to be the Executive Director of Apolitical Academy Global at the Apolitical Foundation. My work contributes to strengthening democracy by investing in better political leadership as we cultivate courageous, ethical and trusted 21st-century politicians. I have built my career between France, Tunisia, and the United States and my work has been recognized by several global leadership organizations such as the Obama Foundation, the World Economic Forum, and the Aspen Institute. I have an MS in Telecommunications and Computer Science Engineering from Institut National Polytechnique, ENSIMAG in France and have completed an Executive Module in Global Leadership & Public Policy of the 21st century at Harvard Kennedy School of Government as well as one-year course as an Obama Scholar at Columbia University in the City of New York.

Uday H. Khemka

Vice-Chairman, SUN Group, United Kingdom

Mr. Uday Khemka is Vice-Chairman of the SUN Group of Companies, a diversified family- owned, investment and industrial group headquartered in India with activities in varied emerging markets in new and renewable energy, electric mobility, natural resources, real estate, electronics/aerospace and private equity. Prior to the SUN Group, Uday worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley in London and New York and then established and headed up Morgan Stanley's activities in India. Uday has been on the boards of all SUN Group companies and has been responsible for the establishment of the investment management activities of the group.

Uday is also Vice Chairman of The Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation, the first, and still one of the only, foundations in India to focus centrally on climate change mitigation, which it has done for 30 years, since COP1 in Rio in 1992. He was also previously the Co-Chair of the Clean Energy Finance Forum (CEFF) jointly established by Prime Minister Modi and President Obama to catalyse investment towards India's 175 GW clean energy target for 2022. Among other climate philanthropic endeavours, Uday resourced the entry of the Climate Group into India and has been on its board ever since. Uday’s key policy interests focus on large scale institutional climate finance (with respect to which he has been advising associations of sovereign and pension institutions since 2004), renewable energy policy and government policy to promote the electrification of transportation. Uday is also a Senior Climate Advisor (2019 to date) to the Institutional Investors Roundtable, a group of 45 of the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund representing over $13 trillion.

Uday’s philanthropic interests outside the field of climate change mitigation include his work as Co- founder of Just Giving (which became Europe’s leading online charity fundraising portal), his leadership of Youth Reach (focusing on street and slum children in India) and the Nabha Foundation (rural development in India).

Uday is on the Board of Governors of the Indian School of Business and the Public Health Foundation of India, the Board of Directors of the Synergos Institute in New York and the Board of Advisors of the Climate Group in India and has been elected a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Uday has recently been appointed on the Advisory Board of the Smith School of Enterprise & the Environment at Oxford University. He is also a member of HRH Prince’s Sustainable Markets Initiative and Senior Climate Advisor to the Institutional Investors Roundtable.

Today, Uday leads the New Energy activities of the Group which include renewable energy, energy storage and electric mobility energy infrastructure. His passion for New Energy led him to set up SUN New Energy Holdings, which today includes SUN Mobility (aiming to be a global leader in electric mobility energy infrastructure), in a partnership with Chetan Maini, as well as SUN Renewables.

Educated at Eton College and Cambridge University, Uday received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar).

Shreevar Kheruka

Managing Director, Borosil Ltd., India

Shreevar Kheruka has overseen a decade of substantial revenue, profitability and market capitalisation growth as Managing Director of Borosil Ltd. He has overseen Borosil's shift from an inward looking organisation to a customer focused employee driven one. During this period, Borosil has successfully integrated two acquisitions and has also diversified its product portfolio from glass to include a wide range of materials including steel, electronic appliances, pharmaceutical packaging and high end laboratory equipment. Shreevar graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a dual degree in Economics and International Relations. He has also done the Owner President Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO) as well as the Entrepreneur's Organization (EO). He enjoys traveling, skiing and playing tennis. He has three children and lives in Mumbai with his wife, Priyanka, who is also a University of Pennsylvania graduate.

Dong Kwan Kim

Vice-Chairman, Hanwha Group, Republic of Korea

Mr. Dong Kwan (DK) Kim is the Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group and Chief Executive Officer of Hanwha Solutions, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Corporation. Key to Hanwha’s rapid global business expansion has been the drive to build a sustainable future through clean energy and cutting-edge aerospace solutions. DK has been at the helm of growing Hanwha’s global footprint as a company with innovative technologies that power an advanced portfolio of comprehensive green energy solutions including next-generation solar modules and systems, offshore wind and clean ammonia/hydrogen solutions. The launch of leading global shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean, previously known as DSME, embodies Hanwha’s holistic approach toward clean energy. Together with other businesses, Hanwha Ocean will pioneer tangible and sustainable solutions in the energy transition through an energy value chain that encompasses offshore production, storage, and shipping. Also under his leadership, Hanwha Solutions has announced a $2.5 billion investment to build a complete solar supply chain in the U.S. – the largest investment of its kind in the country – which will help power countless homes and businesses as well as support local communities. DK has led Hanwha’s strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum since 2010, contributing to key agendas such as climate change and participating in WEF’s Trillion Trees Platform, 1t.org. He was selected in 2013 as a Young Global Leader (YGL) in recognition of future leaders who possess the core qualities required to build a more sustainable and inclusive world. DK holds a BA in Government from Harvard University.

Elaine Kim

Co-Founder, Trehaus, Singapore

Dr Elaine Kim is a medical doctor and entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and CEO of Trehaus, an early education business behind the leading, premium Trehaus School preschool brand, powered by Little Lab, an AI- enabled ed-tech platform that delivers the proprietary Trehaus curriculum and teacher training in the research-and project/play-based “Trehaus Method” pedagogical framework. The Trehaus flagship spaces brings together preschool, office space/ business club with creche, so professional parents do not need to choose between career and family.
Prior to taking the helm at Trehaus, she was the CEO of CRIB, a social enterprise she co-founded to empower women to become successful entrepreneurs through networking, co-founder and investor/start-up matching and training and equipping of female founders. 
After a decade as a doctor caring for terminally ill patients, she continues her involvement in palliative care through her work with the Singapore Ministry of Health Ageing Planning Office and remains involved in various charitable causes, especially through the philanthropic arm CRIB Gives Back that she launched at the helm of CRIB.
Elaine is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (WEF YGL) , a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) and actively involved in the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO). She is married to venture capitalist John Kim of Amasia VC and they have 3 young children. 

Sebastián Kind

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, GREENMAP, Argentina

Undersecretary of Renewable Energy of Argentina (2016-2017), and Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (2018-2019), he was responsible for the country’s energy transition toward a cleaner matrix. Sebastian is the architect and primary driver of the innovative RenovAr program, which has resulted in over US$ 7,4 billion and 5 GW in clean energy investments since its launch in 2016.
Sebastián has 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He is the founding director of the Master of Science in Renewable Energy Program at National Technological University (UTN), and played an instrumental role working with Argentina’s National Senate as author of the Renewable Energy National Law. He has advised on renewable energy projects for many public and private institutions around the world and has held various executive positions in the private sector in Europe and Latin America.
In 2017, Sebastián worked with Harvard University in setting up RenovAr as a Case Study due to its outstanding achievements. In 2018 he was appointed as Chair of the Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and was selected as Fellow of the Eisenhower Foundation (EF) in Philadelphia and as Global Leader of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva in recognition of his accomplishments and commitment to promoting a more peaceful, prosperous and just world. In 2019, he received the Clean Energy Award of the Latin American and Caribbean Council on Renewable Energy (LAC- CORE) and the Climate Breakthrough Project award (an initiative of the Packard Foundation with the support of the Oak, Good Energies, and IKEA Foundations), a 2 Million USD prize for developing GREENMAP (Global Renewable Energy Mass Adoption Program), a breakthrough strategy to help deploying renewables at a global scale. Sebastian has also received in 2019 the LIDE award of the year in recognition to his contribution to the Energy sector.
Sebastián holds a degree in mechanical engineering from UTN in Argentina and earned a MSc. in Renewable Energy from EUREC Agency in Brussels, NTUA in Greece and University of Zaragoza in Spain. He also holds an Executive Development Diploma from IAE Business School and has participated in various executive programs at Harvard University.
